Chapter 23 - Inscription

"Brother Wu, Do you think the inscription grandmaster Lin gui is in Cosmo pavilion," Wang Lei said with a curious voice.

"According to what I've heard, inscription grandmaster Lin gui was passing via this eastern region, but he stopped here to rest. Others also noticed, all the Cosmo pavilion's higher-ups came to invite him to their pavilion "Wu young said with awe and admiration.

Wang Lei is interested in learning more about the inscription and the affairs of this world. He left his sister at residence and proceeded to the central part of the inner city, where he remembered seeing the city library. When he arrived at the library, he noticed a price on the wall: a 2000 gold coin for one hour in the library. He wants to know more about many things, but when he saw a price, he felt pain in his face. He had already spent 5000 gold coins on his sister, and now he only had fifteen thousand left which he didn't plan on spending, he want the remaining money to find a good school for his sister.

He decided not to go, but then he noticed a poster at the top of the price that said fifty percent off for the top three academy students. He went directly to the desk to confirm the discount. The counter worker informs him that most stores will offer a discount to the top three academy students, which made him happy. He also regards himself as a fool. If he had revealed his identifying plate, he might have gotten a discount when shopping with his sister.

For an hour, he paid 1000 gold coins. The counterman was an elderly man, mostly in his 60s; he looked at this brat identity card, it shows his name and age, 17 years old due to Wang Lei lying on the entrance exam. The elderly guy saw this brat face likewise covered in the black mask in the identity card as it was now. He didn't suspect Wang Lei because no one in the inner area has the courage to fool others with the false identities of the top three academies.

After the verification, Wang Lei entered the library and he noticed, the inner space was much larger than the outward appearance. He easily discovered the inscription history book because all volumes were organized by subject. He read the book for thirty minutes. Finally, he has some inscription information that he was looking after the historical heritage event.

All equipment required inscriptions to function; inscriptions were like a key component of any equipment, which Wang Lei already knows. He also learned the several inscription master levels which include inscription apprentice, inscription adept, inscription proficient, inscription grandmaster, and inscription spirit. They needed a lot of resources, depending on their level and types of inscriptions. To draw an inscription, the most basics materials are inscription paper, an inscription brush, and Qi ink.

What fascinates Wang Lei is that he thought he employed inscription when he built space storage, but he was wrong all along. Different materials are necessary to generate different inscriptions; however, he did not require any substance to create space storage; he simply needed to form a sign based on the space-time symbol.

A youth came near to Wang Lei who was wearing the same uniform as other library worker and said, "Senior, you only have 20 minutes left"

Wang Lei came out of his daze after merely hearing this sound. He didn't want to think about it right now, so he also wants to look up Lin gui information who has created great rucked in inner area.

Lin gui is an inscription master who has attained the rank of inscription grandmaster, as well as the Headmaster of the Star inscription pavilion on the central plain. He had offered many of his discoveries to inscription society by the time he was in his fifties. He is the idol of all inscription masters; even neighboring countries wanted him to visit them, but he refused all of them and remained in his own land. And also his temper fluctuated like the weather. This was the only information Wang Lei obtained.

His time had already passed one hour, so he left the library, but he also made up his mind to visit again.

'I should strive to be an inscription master, which is a well-paid and well-respected profession, but I don't know anything about it,' Wang Lei thought.

While walking down the street, he noticed a shop selling inscription materials. He is only interested in the look of inscription paper, inscription pen, and qi inks. He came in and inquired about the basic inscription material.

"Sir, Our shop sells inscription paper, brush, and qi inks of the lower, middle, higher, and peak of mortal grade, which one do you want?" the shop owner was a middle-aged man asked while looking at Wang Lei.

Wang Lei only wants to look; even he does not know anything. The shopkeeper saw the brat blank eyes. He already knew, based on his experience, that this child was a complete novice. So, he stated, "If you are new and want to practice, simply get low grade material."

He was more concerned about the expense when he learned that low grade 100-inscription paper is 500 gold coins, inscription brush is 100 gold, and qi ink is 500 gold for 100 strokes. The shop owner also informed him that inscription paper with no inscription had little value, hence it was inexpensive. However, the middle and high levels are more expensive, which only inscription master can afford.

"You have to practice for many years even to become an inscription apprentice, so now is the appropriate age for you to begin," the shop owner stated with a smile.

Wang Lei paid 1100 gold coins for inscription material and an additional 400 gold coins for the book of inscription, which contain a common inscription. To become an inscription apprentice, they must be able to draw the basic inscription, which is capable of passing qi and running the daily utilized equipment. This book has basic inscription, which he purchased.

He currently only has 12500 gold coins. He has already enlisted most of the schools in his mind for his sister. However, with this amount, his sister can only study for one month in average school.
