Wang Lei had just entered the house and headed to his room. He didn't wake his sister, she was sleeping on a couch, so he went directly to his study room. He started by arranging all of the inscription material in a comfortable manner, so that he could try his first stroke.
First, he began studying the basics inscription book that he had recently purchased from a market. He was so engrossed in his work that he lost the track of time. His sister knocked on the study door in the evening only, then he became aware that it has been evening.
He came out of his study room and keep his sister company. After a while, he returned to his study room. He has already gone over all of the content in the book. So he understands that in order to become an inscription apprentice, everyone must move the brush as if it were their own part of the body.
This book only offers information about one inscription, the ferry inscription, which is utilized as a foundation in later inscriptions. It moves the qi from one spot to another. This ferry inscription is one of the inscriptions where high-level inscription masters utilized it as a foundation to build other types of inscription, so it was extremely important. Any inscription apprentice may easily construct this inscription. As a result, it was the bare minimum for obtaining inscription apprentice status. He realizes it will take him a long time to get it. Most people only become inscription apprentices after receiving sufficient instruction and direction.
He had heard that even in the academy, students would only be taught the basics of the inscription in order to recognize the traps set by foes. It shows how difficult it is to find a teacher in the field of inscription, even with extensive resources. Most inscription masters are wealthy, so they are unconcerned with other offers. However, they value relationships since most inscription masters have low strength as a result of devoting all of their time to the inscription, so they want protection of other. There were only a few exceptions who took more than one route.
Wang Lei dipped his brush in the qi ink and attempted to draw the same diagram as in the book, but he failed. Except for the symbol of space storage, he had never drawn anything in his life. The ferry inscription diagram in the inscription book has a large outer circle with numerous different line ties inside it. He started drawing the inscription again, but he failed halfway through. The majority of the qi ink was shattered around the inscription paper, wasting the inscription paper, qi ink, and also his time, thus he failed every time. He became enraged and began to crushed himself, which was extremely amusing.
Until the late-night, he was practicing, but he failed always. He practiced till late at night, but he always failed. Almost half of the material was tossed away. There was inscription paper all over his study room. The majority of the trash inscription paper has a large circle and some have a strange line that Wang Lei had previously drawn. He became so exhausted that he fell asleep without realizing.
"Sister Su ai, Did you not feel that Wang Lei is somewhat weird?"
"Yes, I felt he is a complete oddball. He chooses worst academy amongst the top three brnch academies and always wear a mask" Su ai said.
"That oddball face must be disfigured since he wears the mask, but I can't think of any reason why he chose the worst academy," Yin niu stated arrogantly.
"Just leave it, anyway when I get into the academy. I will find a rich and handsome man whom I will marry in the future" Su ai said with a shy voice. The three girls were gossiping with each other.
Wang Lei awoke in the morning to find his sister sleeping in coach, as depicted on the same poster, so he took her up and placed her in a bed. He left the house to do some exercise. He ran for more than three hours and did not weary. He had the feeling that he could run all day. He eventually went to the resident. He informed his sister that he would be going to the study room to study again.
Then, like a madman, he began to practice ferry inscription over and over again. One month flew by, only one month left till the New Year and also the day to report to Black Hawk Academy is getting near. In this one month, Wang Lei has always failed at the final phase. He was more sensitive to qi, thus he noticed that when the surrounding qi flowed from one point of the inscription, it did not flow from another, which was a major flaw. He had also not progressed to the point where he could manipulate the brush as if it were his own body part, which was a significant disadvantage.
For the past month, he had been exhausted and frustrated. He always remembers how he struggled in the outside area, as well as his family's situation, which gave him even more drive to keep practicing. He also recalls the old man on the cliff and his request.
Wang Lei recalled the drawing time ratio symbol and merging it with his body when an idea struck in his head, so he began to draw his qi in his finger to create a ferry inscription diagram in the air, but the diagram was quite large and after completing the diagram. He also drew a merging symbol in the air, similar to the one he drew in the time-ratio symbol to merge with his body, then he began to merge it with inscription paper. While combining the massive ferry diagram in the air, it shrank and shrank until it fit on the inscription paper.
Wang Lei was unsure whether this ferry inscription would work properly, so he unlocked the first point, then all the qi in the surroundings entered the first point, then came out from another point, but what surprised him was that the ferry inscription could only transfer a small amount of qi, whereas his inscription could transfer a large amount of qi, which was quite unusual.
"Was this influenced because I drew the large symbol and merged it in inscription paper, unlike other inscription masters who only drew small inscriptions, then matched the inscription paper, but my way of making inscription is different?" Wang Lei reflected his process of making inscription.
After drawing all night, he made six ferry inscriptions with the leftover material using his method and he also laid out the inscription diagram with a qi ink above the inscription paper, so it looked exactly like the other ferry inscriptions. It will also help him to prevent other from knowing his unique way of making inscription.
Following that, he started to meditate and absorb the surrounding qi in order to gain qi depletion from forming a symbol all night.
After some time, he exited from his study room with full of happiness; within a month, he had become an inscription apprentice, but he couldn't tell anyone because his method was tied to his secret. However, if others discover that he employed this new way, they will force him to reveal all of his secrets. As a result, he was now more akin to a fake inscription apprentice.
