"Julian," Izzy said warningly. "Don't push it."
"Why not?" Julian asked as he continued fiddling with some circuits using a tool she didn't know the name of. "If we know the end result is going to happen no matter what, there's no reason not to move things along."
Forever a scientist. That was the one of the many problems she had with this man. He didn't know how to be the slightest bit emotional about something that was definitely supposed to involve emotions.
"There are a lot of reasons, you weirdo! The biggest and most important one being we are not compatible. At all," she huffed.
"Is anyone truly compatible though? Everything about relationships is subjective," Julian replied, still not looking up from what he was working on. "People pick someone they think will benefit them in some way and keep them around until they aren't useful anymore."
