Mr. McCray walk out of the living room as he head to the training hall where he sat down with his glass of wine in hand and since Abel had nothing to do, he also went inside where he saw him relaxing and he had to walk up to him since he still had something to asked of him.
"Eh… earlier I had a spar with Lydia".
"And she beat the hell out of you right" asked Mr. McCray.
"Yes, she easily overwhelmed me with her martial art" replied Abel feeling kind of embarrassed.
"And you want me to teach you how to fight" asked Mr. McCray.
"yes, if I want to be strong then I will need to improve in my martial art" reply Abel in determination.
Mr. McCray paused for a minute to give Abel a look before speaking up.
"I would love to help you Abel but the problem is I don't have spare time".
"What a rip off, and here I thought that I would be able to learn some moves from you" said Abel with a sigh.
"look you already have what you need so stop bothering me about teaching you martial art" said Mr. McCray before going back to his drink.
Having nothing else to do, Abel decided to hang around the place a little before heading home. His weekend was spent on either going to Mr. McCray's places or taking a walk around town until it was Monday once again which makes him more excited since he won't be spending time with Maria.
Getting into the hall, he could see Perry with his head buried in his book, and with a smile on his face, Abel rush to sit close to him.
"Looks like someone was really busy during the weekend" said Abel after taking his seat.
Raising his head to look at him his friend who seems to be in a good mood before replying.
"we went to see my grandparents during the weekend. What about you, you look quite happy than you usually do".
"I'm just happy that I won't be at home for the time being and there are still people to talk to" said Abel with a chuckle.
"why wouldn't you want to be at home" asked Perry wondering what could make his friend afraid of staying at home.
"you wouldn't understand so let's not go into details" replies Abel with a sigh since he can't tell him about his little secret.
Just as they were speaking, Lydia just walked into the hall with a dispirited face as she went straight to a seat without sparing a gaze at anyone which kind of gets Abel worried since they were sitting opposite each other.
While sitting down, Lydia continues to hear some echoes of someone calling for help which has been going on since the weekend and she had to inform her parents about it only for her to hear them say it is a sign about something bad happening.
Since then, she has not had the time to sleep which has led to her having a dispirited face, and now she could still hear the voice in her head.
"help me…." "please help me.."
Not being able to take it anymore, Lydia let out an angry scream which gets the hall to quiet down.
"Leave me alone".
Lydia had her eyes open in bewildered after noticing that she is not alone and that his when she heard a whisper, turning around to take a look at who it was only for her to see that it was Abel.
"Hey, are you alright" asked Abel with a worried look on his face but before he could get his answer a teacher walk into the hall and he decided to ask her later during lunch break.
During teaching, Lydia would unexpected zoom out but instead of having a vision, she would be hearing the same voice in her head.
"Please help me, else other people would be killed" said the voice.
Trying her best to stay focused so as to avoid being on the teacher blacklist. After managing to stay focused until it was time for them to go for a lunch break, Lydia was still sitting while the rest students begin to leave the hall to get something to eat, and seeing her in this state, Abel had to plead with Perry who seem fine with his reasoning after seeing her acting strange the moment she took her seat.
"Hey, do you mind telling me what's wrong with you" asked Abel after approaching her?
Looking at Abel with tears in her eyes, Lydia couldn't help but wipe her eyes before speaking.
"I don't think that I am ready for all of this".
"what happened" Asked Abel as he still doesn't understand what she is talking about.
"There is this voice that has been speaking in my head for days now telling me to help her or else more people would be killed" replied Lydia.
Abel went quiet for some time as he tries to process what she is talking about since according to the movie he has watched about banshees, they can only see vision and not hear voices in their head. But still, he decided to ask her.
"Have you told your parents about it".
"yes I did and they told me that it is a sign that something bad is about to happen so I should get ready but the problem now is how am I supposed to get ready for something that I don't have a clue about" reply Lydia.
"didn't you at least have a vision about it" asked Abel?
"Not at all, just a voice screaming in my head like it wanted me dead from the torture" replied Lydia.
"Hmm, why don't we go see Mr. McCray and hear what he has to say about this" suggested Abel.
"I hope he would be able to help out because I can't take the voice in my head anymore" reply Lydia as she got up before they left for Mr. McCray's office.
