Chapter 35 - Another Death

Looking around her to confirm our location, Lydia couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief even when our face was dripping with sweat, and seeing her in this state, Abel decided to seal his mouth since Perry was still sitting with them.

Even after realizing that she is no longer in the laboratory, her body still couldn't stop shaking and listening to her heartbeat, Abel knew that the matter is a serious one and decided to take her away after taking an excuse from Perry so as not to avoid awkwardness between them.

After walking out of the hall, Abel took her straight away to Mr. McCray's office since other students are passing through. Making it to the office, the duo discovered that Mr. McCray was busy drinking a red liquid from a cup, and seeing the two reaching into his office, he couldn't help but ask with a frown.

"Did Lydia have an encounter with the ghost"?

"I don't know about that, the only reason why I brought her here was so she could speak freely" replied Abel.

Walking up to her, Mr. McCray bent down with a serious gaze on her.

"tell me Lydia, what did you see in there" he asked.

Taking a look at Mr. McCray, it took her some time before she finally speak up.

"There is this man in a tube-like he is been experimented on".

They could not make sense of what she was talking about and Mr. McCray had to advise her to take a deep breath to calm herself before speaking. Doing as she was instructed, Lydia took a deep breath before she spoke up.

"I had a vision and in that vision, I was brought into a room and in this room were animal parts except for one of the tubes which had a human on it that seem to be in a deep slumber. I decided to go forward so as to get a closer look at him, but the moment I begin staring at him, he suddenly open his eyes and stare at me".

After telling them what she saw, Lydia turns her attention to Mr. McCray as she asks out of fear.

"do you think he saw me".

"relax Lydia, what you saw is nothing but a vision about what is about to happen and there is no way the other party could have seen you" reply Mr. McCray as he assured her.

"About this place you are talking about, did you by any means know where it is" asked Abel.

"I was brought straight to the room and apart from the fact that I know is a laboratory, I couldn't see anything that would give the place out" replied Lydia.

"Dammit, if only we can get the name of the laboratory, we would be able to stop whatever they are planning to do" said Abel with gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't be of much help" reply Lydia while feeling disappointed in herself.

"You don't need to feel disappointed in yourself Lydia, you did your best. I believe that your teacher is already on his way to conduct lesson so you better get going before you get into his black list" said Mr. McCray as he dismissed them out of his office.

After succeeding in chasing them away, Mr. McCray took out his phone and dialed Mrs. Davis's line.

"your daughter just had a vision and I think it is not connected to the case we have on hand right now" said Mr. McCray after the call has connected.

"What did she see in the vision" asked Mrs. Davis.

Mr. McCray begins to narrate what he has been told to Mrs. Davis and waited to hear what she has to say.

"I think what Lydia saw is likely to happen and although it is not connected to the case at hand, but it should be more troublesome for us to handle so we need to keep a watching eye" suggested Mrs. Davis after listening to Mr. McCray's story.

"I see, so do you have any news on hand about the case" asked Mr. McCray.

"not really, it seems that there won't be any killing here" reply Mrs. Davis from the other side but just as she was about to continue with what she was saying, a scream suddenly came from outside her office and she had to rush out to check what was causing the commotion.

Following the sound of the scream, Mrs. Davis was led into a remote place where some students were standing while looking at a body that was hanging in the ceiling.

"I guess the killer has struck once again" said Mrs. Davis while lowering her voice.

After muttering those words to Mr. McCray, she quickly hang up the call before instructing the students to return to their classroom before calling out to another teacher whose office was close by as she asked him to help get the body down in hope that he could still be saved but after his body was put down, it was already too late.

"We need to inform the school head about this happening" suggested Mr. Jasper after confirming that the student is dead.

"yeah, I think we should do that" agreed Mrs. Davis.

And just as Mr. Jasper was about to leave the scene, Mr. McCray has already gotten there. Taking a step forward to check on the body in search of any sign that could give them something they could use to track who the killer was.

Seeing him observing the body, Mr. Jasper decided not to trouble himself with him before he decided to go look for the school head and it was only after Mr. Jasper has left that Mrs. Davis spoke up.

"There is nothing on him that could help us with our search".

"I know and it kind of looks like a suicide but I don't think it is" reply Mr. McCray.

"Do you mean he was been controlled by someone else" asked Mrs. Davis?

"It is more likely to be" reply Mr. McCray with a serious look on his face.
