"Banshee, I have heard about them in movies but I never knew that they truly exist" commented Abel.
"Now that you know what I am, do you mind telling me what you are although I already have my guess by what you called me" said Lydia.
"Yes, I'm a vampire" replied Abel before asking Lydia random questions about her powers.
"you mentioned seeing a banish in a movie, so make your guess" reply Lydia with a smile.
"Hmm... So you can tell if someone is about to die" asked Abel.
"yes is pretty amazing right" reply Lydia with a nod.
"I don't think it's amazing knowing that someone is going to die" said Abel with a frown.
"How can you say that it is not amazing, do you know how many lives could be saved if you can tell when they are going to die" asked Lydia kind of annoyed by Abel's words.
"According to what I have seen in a movie, banshee can't predict when someone is going to die, they only have a vision about their death so tell me how is it amazing when you can't stop their death" replied Abel.
"although after the vision, the death might not occur in days but there are ways we can prevent their death" said Lydia in anger as Abel begin to make fun of her power.
"How can you prevent it then when you don't know when they are going to die" asked Abel in interest.
"Well, we can follow them up and keep protection over them" reply Lydia with an awkward look on her face.
"Then you are saying you will be living with them since their death might occur while they are at home" asked Abel with a smile on his face as he stared at her while waiting for his answer.
Lydia was speechless since he was right about that and she begin to think of a good answer to defend her ability but no idea seem to come to mind which get her frustrated.
"I don't know why I bother talking to you in the first place" said Lydia as she stomp her feet on the ground before walking out while leaving Abel in an awkward situation.
"I'm Abel by the way" yell Abel before she could walk out of sight.
"What did I say to get her that angry" mutter Abel to himself.
After contemplating for some time and still couldn't figure out what he did, Abel decided to go meet up with Perry who could be sitting on his own.
And just like he has guessed, Perry was sitting under a tree they usually rest on during lunch break. Perry was just watching the others pass by when he heard a voice coming from behind.
"seems like you are having fun sitting all by yourself" said Abel as he approach the tree.
"What can I say, it has become a habit of mine after being left alone for days" replied Perry.
"I'm sorry about that, I promise it won't happen again" apologize Abel.
"Whatever, so why did Lydia want to talk to you about" asked Perry.
"Its nothing that
"It's nothing that important, she just wanted to know a few things about the teachers so as to not get on their bad side" said Abel before sitting down
"It's nothing that important, she just wanted to know a few things about the teachers so as to not get on their bad side" said Abel before sitting down.
"Are you sure that is the reason why she drag you out of the classroom?" asked Perry with a brown raised at Abel.
"yes, that's all she wanted to know" reply Abel with a nod of his head.
"if she wanted to know more about the teachers, she could have just asked around" said Perry.
"what are you trying to say" asked Perry as he find some hidden meaning behind those words.
"What I mean is that what she had to tell you is not exactly what you told me. For you to be dragged out of the classroom like that" replied Perry.
Seeing his friend acting like this, Abel knew that he is not buying the lie and he let out a sigh before speaking up.
"The truth is Lydia and I are friends".
"That explains why she would drag you out of the hall without hesitating. But why did you have to lie to me in the first place" said Perry.
"I know that you are going to pest me once you knew we are friends" reply Abel with a chuckle.
"That's not cool man" said Perry with a chuckle as he punched Abel on the arm.
"There is no way that I am going to bug you not when I am looking like this" added Perry as he was referring to the wound on his face.
"I was right after all, you are going to bug me once you knew" laughed Abel.
'I'm sorry that I can't tell you what I am Perry' thought Abel feeling sad that he had to keep his identity a secret from his friend.
They continue to discuss until it was time to head back to their classroom but that was when Abel excused himself saying that he need to see Mr. McCray.
After getting to Mr. McCray's office, the first thing he did was to knock before going in after he has received permission.
"Are you here to warn me about the new student?" asked Mr. McCray before Abel could say a word.
"How did you know that she is a banshee" asked Abel in confusion as to how he knew of her.
"that's because I'm the one who suggested that she come to this school" reply Mr. McCray.
"You were the one who suggested it" asked Abel being more confused about the matter.
"Indeed. Do you have a problem with that" replied Mr. McCray?
"not at all, it's just that I am confused as to what relationship you had with her" asked Abel.
"her father is a good friend of mine and if you are worried about your identity being exposed then you don't have to be since she will come to me directly" reply Mr. McCray knowing what Abel could be thinking about.
