It's almost midnight, and in a normal aprtment complex, in a normal flat, there's our MC.
An overlookable young man sitting in front of his computer waiting for something.
He has a normal work in an office, is not ugly nor beatiful, wear a pair of glasses given him because he spend too much time on the PC, has chestnut colored hair and eyes. In conclusion he doesn't have any noteworthy external features, he's just the kind of guy you would see down the road, look at him, and then proceed to forget his face 10 seconds.
Even he cosider himself this way and ,while it's a bit sad, it works just fine, because for him the most important thing are his games. In those games he can be whatever he wants: a devil or a saint, a king or a farmer, he can even choose to be human or not, all the free-time he spent on his game by creating and growing all kind of characters, ranging from worms to dragons, and researching all kind of different synergies and unusual class builds gave him the nickname of "Professor" in the gaming community, he even wrote many renowned guides and is acclaimed in the players commuinity.
At this many of you would think:"Then why is he still living in a flat?" that's simple, because "everything that came from the games will return to them" or so he says when people ask him on the net.
Oh sorry, I have made too long a digression, now let us return to our MC and his computer....
He said while looking down to a folder filled to the brim with all kind of information about games, specifically in the thinner part labelled "E&D", once he took out the single sheet of paper he started reading aloud:
Classes: now to a must in all MMORPGs classes are available to anyone and everything so as to not let those races that can't evolve stagnate. Even for classes there's evolution other than level up.
Evolution: as I said earlier it's available to anything even skill, classes and inanimate objects. There are ten tiers of evolution and everything obviously start at a different tier; like goblins and kobolds start at tier 1, orcs are tier 3 and dragons tier 8. The only exceptions are tier 0, where inanimate things and critters are categorized, and tier 11, that of transcendence and divinity, of which the developers didn't give us any information whatsoever.
Stats and experience: there are the four main stats Physique, Dexterity, Intelligence and Wisdom. There are also many more secondary stats unlocked by evolving yourself or your class. Experience work strangely... there are different bar for your personal experience and for that of your class, and by killing creatures with similar skillset or class you will obtain bonus exp in that class. In a way I will literally obtain their experience.
World history: they said that the world was peaceful until invaders that came from fissures all over the planet plunged the world into chaos, at this the representatives of all the races finally united to chase the invaders away. The world now in peace again was seemingly too boring to some people, and thus started the age of "Evolution and Dominance" in which the events of the game take place, an era where even mighty beings are at risk of dying every day. WOOOOWWWW soooo not cliché.
Welp... finally finished, at least the game developers leaked all this information as a mean to apologize for the enormous delay and also to keep busy the fans, well not complete information but I can work with what I have. What time is it now? 23:58!? DAMN I'LL BE LATE! Go go go>
In the midst of his desperate run to the computer he tripped, like an idiot I'd like to add, on some electric wires and gave a hard headbutt on his desk, until now everything's normal, only a bump on his forehead and a bit of dizziness.
Alas, it seems that lady luck and lord doom agreed to play a prank on him, so the tv he kept on the upper part of the desk fell on his head thus killing him while still stunned by the headbutt. A minute later on the screen of his PC appeared "EVOLUTION & DOMINANCE FIRST SERVER OPENING!!!"
How ironic can fate be hahahahaha.
