A week went by since Asher's rebirth. During this period, he spent his days meditating to cultivate his lightning ability in order to quickly break through to the next level. He had no time to spare with three weeks until the apocalypse. He could not afford to be lazy.
Although he gained two more abilities in this lifetime which was darkness and space abilities, Asher did not know how to use them. Since darkness and space were rare abilities, in his previous life, Asher had only encountered 3 space ability users and 1 darkness ability user during his 5 year adventure in zombie land.
The only reason why Asher came into contact with that many space users was because most of them were recruited to be brought on missions. They helped store goods and products, and Asher himself went on missions practically every chance he could get due to the pressure from his so-called family.
Asher decided to focus on his lightning ability first, since he was the most familiar with it, as it was his one and only ability in his previous life. In regards to the deadly lightning ability, Asher is considered a master. As far as he knew, he was the only person to ever reach A class, level 6 in the lightning department.
Sitting on his soft bed with his long legs crossed, Asher took a deep breath and exhaled a long breath. After three hours of long concentration, he finally broke through to SSS class, level 2 for his lightning ability. He was on the very verge of leveling up to level 3 but not matter how much he tried, he just couldn't.
Asher calmly opened his garnet red eyes before suddenly leaping out his bed to quickly splash water on to his face. Water still dripping from his face, he looked up at the mirror and was met with his shocked expression.
"This doesn't make any sense..." He muttered as he pushed his black hair back.
'It took me two years to level up to SSS class, rank 2! What in the world is going on?!' Asher thought in shock as he slowly made his way back to his bed.
Sitting down on the bed with a loud thump, Asher couldn't help but grin madly.
"Is this because of my rebirth?" He asked him quietly.
Asher had a feeling that leveling up his other ability will not be as easy as his lightning ability. Energized from his discovery, Asher decided to try and train his other abilities to the best of his abilities.
Out of the two abilities, the one that he was the most curious about was the space ability. According to the 3 space ability users that he encountered on his missions, anything can be stored in their space excluding living things.
The ability users expressed their regret of not having the ability to store live-stock since animals soon mutated. Also, some users have different space sizes. Some may be big or some may be small depending on your level.
Closing his eyes again, Asher began to mediate, focusing on his space ability. When he did, he noticed something strange. When Asher began to circulate energy for the space ability, it felt as if he was being sucked in somewhere!
The world started to warp and spin. When the youth opened his eyes, he was astonished! It looked like Asher was in another world. It looked like a parallel earth except there were no humans.
There was a forest, a sparkling blue lake and mountains. There was also a plot of land that can be used to plant and grow food. To his utmost shock, there was even a mansion! It looked surprisingly modern.
'Who built the mansion? And where am I? Is this my space?' Asher curiously wondered.
Hearing a slight noise, Asher looked towards the forest and he saw a little white thing dart into the green shrubs.
'A bunny? Why are there animals in here already!?'
Asher saw the dark green leaves beginning to blow from the strong wind along with his medium-length black hair.
"Wind? How is there wind in here? Most importantly, is that the sun?!" Asher exclaimed as he saw the orange sun setting slowly near the mountains.
"Hello there Master." A majestic voice said behind him.
Asher spun around. A large white wolf with silver eyes stood before him. Its sterling silver eyes were shimmering like stars.
"Master?" Asher questioned, pointing at himself.
The wolf nodded its big head and replied, "I am a celestial beast named Silvia. I am the keeper of this space. This space is my home and you are the second to ever come to my home, and thus you shall be my Master."
"Second?"
The wolf nodded its big, furry head. "Yes, the second. My previous Master told me that his time was nearly up, but I did not want to have another Master. But my previous Master told me to welcome the person who comes into the space as my next Master. It was his death wish."
I nodded my head solemnly and then asked, "Did your previous Master build this mansion?"
As if remembering the past, Silvia said sadly, "Indeed, he did."
"I have a question. How is it possible that animals are living in here? Also, how is this space functioning like a real world, with a sun and everything else."
"This is all due to my celestial aura. My aura is spread throughout the land, protecting those inside. Without me, this 'diamond' space would just be a regular space."
Asher raised an eyebrow. "You call this a 'diamond' space."
Silvia snorted, "Of course you silly reborn person."
"How do you know that I was reborn?"
The wolf smiled at Asher, "I am a celestial beast. I know everything."
Asher shook his head, "Can other humans come in here too?"
Silvia nodded, "As long as they have your permission, they can be granted access to your Space."
"Well then, Silvia, can you tell me a little bit more about my space?"
"Time flows differently in space. 1 day in space equals 5 minutes on your planet. In addition, the lake that you see here is no ordinary lake. I enchanted this lake with my aura and power. This lake has healing and enhancement abilities. If you drink or soak in the water, your injuries can heal and make you stronger than you were before. Also, it can help unlock abilities that you were meant to earlier."
"This means I can be healed before the apocalypse..." Asher muttered.
"Silvia, I hope you don't mind if I soak in the lake right now?"
"As you wish, Master." Silvia bowed its head and left.
Asher went into the mansion and walked into a random room. His eyes widened a fraction when he realized that their was already a few sets of clothes neatly folded in the dresser as well as clean towels.
It must have been left by the previous master. Shrugging, Asher took off his clothes and placed them on the bed.
Wrapping a white towel around his slender waist, Asher approached the lake. The lake looked like fallen stars and was a clear blue color. Almost a three miles away, he saw a huge waterfall. He was confused as to why he could not hear the sound of the waterfall but ignored it.
He took off his towel and placed them onshore. Then he walked to the lake and quickly submerged. To his surprise, it was hot!
'This is so relaxing.' Asher thought.
After a few minutes, he felt lighter. Asher looked at his right arm that was broken a month prior. He flexed it and it seemed to be healed!
His arms, legs and chest that were once bruised was now healed too! Asher felt much stronger as well. Wrapping the towel around his waist, Asher made his way inside of the mansion.
Asher grabbed some clothes to get dressed and yelled in surprise. He abruptly dropped the towel to reveal his naked body in the full length mirror. Before, his body had bruises and was extremely skinny and malnourished. But now, Asher's skin had a healthy glow to it.
Not only that but he seemed to have grown about 4 inches. Although Kyle and Asher are identical twins, Ash was always shorter and skinnier than Kyle. When the twins were younger, the Greyson's gave poor boys little to no food to eat. And when they did get something to eat Ash would always give it to Kyle even though Kyle was older than himself.
However, after the twins turned 14, 7 years ago, they gave the two of them a good amount of food due to the rumors of the two being mistreated in the family. But it was already too late. The lack of food and nourishment had already stunted Asher's growth spurt.
To him, Ash felt like the older brother. Asher always felt the need to protect Kyle. This is because 2 years before they came to the Greyson estate at 5 years old, Kyle almost died from a fever because young Asher locked him out in a Snowstorm as a prank. Since then, Ash vowed to protect him.
Pinching his stomach, Asher grinned, completely happy. He had no clue as to how he was able to gain a 8 pack abs but he was living for it. Adding the fact that he was 4 inches taller, his face was no longer gaunt and hollow, and his flabby arms were now defined with muscle, Asher had to agree with himself that he was indeed hot.
After he finished putting on his clothes, Ash decided to take Tristan into his space so that he can train here with him and hopefully unlock his ability early by soaking in the magical lake.
Asher will hide the fact that he had been reborn for obvious reasons but he needs Tristan to train. If he gets curious, Asher will just tell him that he knew the future because of his ability. Asher doesn't think he will ever tell anyone about his rebirth and his tragic past.
Anyways, if Asher remembers correctly, Tristan was a water ability user. Water ability users were deemed weak at first because they could only clean things or provided clean drinking water.
But as the drinking water got infected 3 years after the end, water ability users were in demand. But their was only a handful since many were killed in the early days and used as mere cannon fodder.
But Tristan was different. He found a way to utilize water for offense. During is 1 year survival in the apocalypse before he died, Tristan was able to make a water whip, shield, sword, wave and much more. No ability is essentially useless after all.
If Ash could get him to drink the lake water and then train in his space before the end of the world, it will increase his odds of protecting James and Kyle.
With that in mind, Asher went out of his space. Although he was in space for an hour or two, only a mere second has passed in the real world. Just then, Asher heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." Asher said.
It was Tristan. He looked as shocked as I was.
"Young Master!" Tristan yelled in utter shock and disbelief, "How in the world? Why do you look so different and how did you grow about 4 inches!!!"
Asher smiled sheepishly.
"I skinny dipped in a magic lake."
Tristan's mouth was open like a fish. Asher laughed and that seemed to get him out of trance.
"What?!"
"Here, let me just show you."
Before he could say anything, the two men were already in Asher's space.
"What is this place?"
"Welcome to my space bitch." Asher grinned.
