When Asura escaped, the attack of the flower petals slowly died down. When it seemed as if she had put enough distance, the petals started glowing more brightly before completely disappearing altogether in a puff or light, disintegrating into small glittery bits as it vanished. Both the girl, Aimi, and her brother, Okuro, were covered in cuts. Even though they used the full extent of their cultivation to shield their bodies, those petals were somehow strong enough to slice through them and cut their skin. Somehow, they could feel the fox was not trying to kill them, but simply punishing them. They tossed the current fox in their hands to the purple one, hoping it would appease it.
After the attack, the two limped out of the forest, their bodies aching all over. Several guards immediately caught them before they fell over.
"Third master! Second miss!" The guards yelled in unison as they immediately darted over to help them. One of them asked,"Young miss! Are you alright?" It was clear that was her personal guard.
"ALRIGHT?! HOW DO I LOOK ALRIGHT TO YOU?!" Aimi hollered in anger, turning her hedious face to her guard. The guard gasped at the sight of her face. One big gash covered one side of it, and several other smaller guards could be seen on her nose, forehead and cheek. The guard immediately bowed down, and said," All of you! Prepare the carriage for Third Young Master and Second Miss! Send them to a physician without delay!" The other guards scrambled to ready the carriage, and Okuro's guard immediately help him up. Once both of them were in, the carriage was immediately started and a loud sound of the whip could be heard, before the neighing of horses and the movement of the carriage.
Of all people, the one in most trouble wasn't Okuro or Aimi. The worst ones of this situation were their personal guards, especially Aimi's. They would be punished for not ensuring the safety of their master, and be subjected to caning, deduction of allowance, etc. As Okuro was third in line to succeed his father's tittle, it would not mean much if he was slightly injured, since he could recover and he was not the Marquis's family's priority. Hence his guard would probably be berated, and have his allowance deducted, and possibly a little caning from the Marquis. However, it was a different story for Aimi. Firstly, her mother had a higher ranking than Okuro's, so Okuro would definietly be punished, but less as he was still a son. Secondly, Aimi was already engaged to the crown prince! How could she be able to compete with other women in the harem if she was disfigured? Since the Marquis could not blame his son as his daughter insisted to tag along on his hunt, the blame will fall to her personal guard. It was pitiful, really. Knowing many guards would scare the prey away, they had chose to hunt without their guards, as this was what Okuro usually did, so it was not her personal guard's fault since he was ordered to not interfere. Still, fault will somehow be placed upon him, and his life could very well end here...
At a small clinic, a village physician looked at Aimi and Okuro's condition. For Okuro, it was just several minor cuts which could be healed easily with some low level healing pills. Asura had apparently not infused any of her poison into the petals, or things would be worse for them. For Aimi however, she was in worser condition. Her small cuts could be healed with a low level pill, however, that big gash could not. Even after consuming a high grade healing pill, it still left three brown marks on her cheek, like a scar that had been there for years.
"If you have had medical attention earlier, this scar could have been lightened. However, you seem to have scratched the wound again after healing it a little, so it seems likely for this to be permenant if high grade pills can't fix it, it also seems likely you tore the entire skin at the area, so yes, the scar would definitely be permenant." The doctor explained. At this, Aimi started to cry.
"W-what?..." She said in disbelief. She was disfigured!! How was she supposed to curry flavour with the crown prince and become next empress? It was just a mere dream now! The doctor sighed and handed over some facial cream to Aimi, "Here. This may not completely remove the scar, but at least it will be slightly better. Next time do not be so reckless. There is a reason why nobody goes into that forest. You were lucky this time..." Aimi accepted the cream, and sighed in relief the doctor did not seem to know her identity. If he did, she would certainly have someone assasinate him in case he leaked the fact of her disfigured face. However, we can't take chances, can we? After they left, it was certain the poor physician could not live past the night...
