The morning after, both Miko and Tashi were awakened by the sound of sparrows chirping in the distance. They got ready and decided to head out for breakfast. It was a small, newly opened cafe, and with how early it was, there were very few patrons.
"So... have you been around here before? I don't intend on heading back so soon, so I though if you haven't been here before I can show you around." Tashi asked, "This could be considered a date I suppose..." Tashi mumbled out the last srntence, afraid Miko would reject him. Suprisingly, Miko didn't even seem to hear him! Since Miko had never been around this part of the human race before, she naturally agreed.
After breakfast, the first stop of the day was around town.This place was where many of the smaller villages came together and converged into a town. Many would flock to this place since it was the central area of the village, and further down was the royal capital. Many liked setting up businesses here as there were many people, which would in turn bring up many customers. Miko and Tashi wondered the streets, although Miko usually ran ahead into shops with products that caught her eye-usually sparkly objects. Tashi usually chuckled at the girl's cuteness from the back, observing her interesting character.
Miko ran ahead again, into this shop which sold jewelry. They were the sparkliest of sparkly objects, according to Miko anyway. She gazed at the diamond ring hidden behing the clear, transparent crystal display, her dark pink eyes sparkling along with it. Tashi immediately looked at the object she was currently showering her attention on. A diamond ring, with the words engraved: "I love you"
A salesperson immediately scooted over to them, seeing they were eyeing one of the most expensive pieces in their posession.
"Good morning our dearest customer! You seem to really like that ring, and coincidentally, it suits you! This was handcrafted by one of the most renowned jewel masters in the eight most prominent nations, so if you give this to your partner, they would certainly feel your love and sincerity!" Hearing this, Tashi gulped. It was an engagement ring, and he wasn't even certain if they could be considered together yet. What's more, the price was sky high, at three thousand gold! Only the nobles or rich businessmen could afford this kind of thing! Just like what anyone would do in this situation, he calmly rejected the salesperson and dragged Miko out the door along with him.
"What were you thinking! That is an engagement ring, and its expensive! Don't look at them and reject them if they pressure you to buying it okay?!" Tashi scolded, afraid she would pull this stunt. It was common for saleperson to do this, announcing such people loudly so everyone would look at them. Subconciously, they would feel the need to purchase the item. Miko simply nodded and uttered a word of apology, before she bounced off to the next shop.
At the next shop, Miko entered to see a sign that said, "Forest secrets" She obviously was only there for the sparkly objects which caught her eye and ignored it. When she entered, her jaw dropped. Her eyes widened in disbelief. She could not utter a single word out. Her knees felt weak and wobbly and she fell backward, with only Tashi catching her as her support.
