He continues, "Who's (Y/n)?"
~Now~
(Y/n) POV
I stand there shocked. 'How does he know my name? Is that what is 'written' on his finger? Does he mean another (Y/n)?' Shaking my head, I reply "I-I'm (Y/n)... But do you mean a-another (Y-Y/n)? Because if so; I don't know another (Y/n), Natsu-o... Wait, you said your name is Natsuo right, Natsuo-san?" He nods, looking quite puzzled at my question. "Um, this might sound really weird, but do you spell Natsuo like; N-a-t-s-u-o?", I ask while looking at my finger. I hear him get up, so I look up saying " No, no! You're still not fully recover-ed...? Eh? How's- how's that even possible? You were injured pretty badly; how are all you're... wounds healed..." but slow as he gets closer to me. He responds " That's none of your business. And yes, that's how you spell my name." I huff at his rude reply 'Jerk.' He suddenly grabs my left hand to examine it. When our hands connect, a strong tingling sensation travels from the point of contact, up my arm and through my whole body; sending multiple shivers up my spine. When he sees the strange marking, his eyes widen and he lets go as though I burnt him; taking with, those pleasurable sensations, I've come to like in the short span of time.
Natsuo stumbles backwards to the bed and sits down. Moving awkwardly from foot to foot, I just stand there staring while he distraughtly mutters the word "No." like a mantra. I hesitantly go sit next to him. As soon as I do, the markings on both our hands light up a blue; similar to Natsuo's hair; causing him to stop muttering and to move his left hand into his line of vision, where a blue light coats his blemish-free features. He suddenly snaps his head to face me causing me to flinch from the suddenness of it. The look in his eyes is absolutely heartbreaking; he is completely lost, broken and torn; reminding me of a broken, battered and scarred angel. He mutters again; but this time it's something different. He mutters softly but loud enough that I can hear him, " You're my... my mate, (Y/n). I didn't think... t-that I'd ever find m-my mate...", as he says that, he sounds so broken and it tugs on my heart strings." Natsuo-san,...I- "
"No! Don't you dare! This is all your fault! Couldn't you just mind your own d*mn business?! You stupid human girl!"
My eyebrow twitches, " Enough of your sh*t! You should be grateful I even helped you, sh*tface! If it weren't for me, you'd be dead! Idiot! And what do you mean human girl?! You're human too, you moron!"
"I would've been perfectly fine! And I'm not human! You honestly think it's fine to just screw around in other people's business?! Hah! Give me a f*cking break! Just stay out of my way, you d* mn girl!"
"Tch, I can say the same to you, freak boy!", and I storm out of the room, slamming the door shut on my way out, and going to get ready for a walk. Leaving a note on the kitchen counter, I exit the cabin, donning black and white sneakers, an aqua sweatpants and a midnight purple hoodie. Setting off on the path I made yesterday, I jog through the forest, clearing my head of most of the anger towards that 'Bakatsuo'.
I reach the clearing, a panting mess. I take a seat against one of the trees on the edge of the clearing. Regaining my breath, I release the left over anger in a scream and punch the tree. The skin over my right hand knuckles break and little trails of blood make their way down my fingers onto the grass below, but I don't bother to care about it. Now that all my anger is released, I can see that the forest looks just as beautiful as it did last night. Getting up and turning to jog back, I stop; hearing an approaching crunch of fallen branches. An unfamiliar voice speaks, "Hello, fragile human girl." My eyebrow twitches, I turn around and through gritted teeth, I ask, "Ok, just what the h*ll is wrong with you locals?! And I'm not fragile, idiot!" The unknown male, lifts his hands in mock surrender and says,"My bad... Forgive me, dear lady.", winking, before bowing at the waist. I raise my eyebrow, "Well, what do you want?" He smirks, "Smart girl, I-"
"I mean c'mon, you creep up on me and you expect me to think you just wanted to say "Hi"? I'm no idiot, idiot."
"Well, first, ouch! Your comments hurt me dear. And like I stated earlier, you are a smart girl...Smarter than you look anyway.", he mumbles the last part; probably thinking I won't hear it; but I did and I was furious. Clenching my fists; to stop myself from punching his teeth in; I stand stock still waiting, "Well?", I ask. His smirk grows wider, "Well, I want-"
Natsuo POV
'That stupid girl, is my mate! I can't believe it! Of all the things to happen to me, this has to be the one of the worst! I can't even handle other people and their sh*t, and now I got a mate to be the cherry on the cake!' I sigh. Looking up at the ceiling I sigh out again. 'But she is beautiful, kind, a weird kinda cute and... stubborn! Just like...me. I mean, do You love torturing me, God? If I wasn't convinced before, I am convinced now that You are a sadist.' I get up and start pacing up and down the room I was given to rest in, sighing for the umpteenth time, 'Come to think of it, I'm surprised her parents didn't wake up during our fight; after all we did end up arguing quite loud. Speaking of her, her scent is driving me up the wall, but I'm not sure if it's in a good or bad way; I think it's both...I-' My thoughts are interrupted by an unknown presence near my mate; no, it's not unknown. It's Haku-san's beta's son. I don't remember his name though, I just know he was a loser and an annoying pain in my *ss. That jerk always had it out for me; just 'cause I always bested him at hand-to-hand and armed combat. I feel the wind get knocked out of me. 'Sh*t! (Y/n) is in danger!' I rush out the cabin via the window, spread my wings and take flight towards my mate. 'Just please be ok..., (Y/n).'
