Months quickly passed after the events which took place within Olympus. Percy thought she would never heal fully from her betrayals. But she had lived a fairly simple life, she would hunt monsters during the day, then train with the blessings which she had received during night time.
Occasionally, she would create a bit of small talk with Void through a telepathy link which he had formed between them. Over the small course of time, the man had become something akin to a father figure.
It was strange if Percy were to be honest. Her father, Poseidon had believed false evidence over her and so, she was left to wonder if he really was a father to her. Because as far as she knew now, she didn't know what a 'father figure' was.
Perhaps Paul could have been considered as her father figure. But she hadn't been around him long enough to understand or learn it.
-Child.
"Percy."
Percy corrected as she stopped in her path. Void, had once again addressed her as 'child' instead of by her name, and it had begun to irritate her.
Void however, ignored her and continued to speak.
-Within a few moments, my son will appear before you.
Percy couldn't help but frown. Void had told her a bit about his children. The one he must have been referring was likely Chaos.
" And what does this have to do with me? "
-He will ask for you to go with him and if you want to become an assassin or commander. I would like for you to accept his offer. The choice of your position however is up to you as the abilities of both will become useful within the future.
"Join the army of your son, got it. Anything else?"
-That would be all. Farewell for now, child.
The man's presence faded from her mind and Percy turned and sat atop a near by rock to await the deity arrival.
Percy didn't have to wait long. Just as Void had told her, a portal appeared before her after a few short moments. A black hole as large as a door, surrounded by hus of purple and blue with silver, sparkling dots sprinkled through which gave it a start effect.
Percy's hand immediately went for the dagger strapped at her waist. She took position, ready to put on an Oscar worthy performance as someone stepped through.
The man was tall and well built, he wasn't the most muscular man she'd ever seen, but had a decent amount and seemed to be in his mid 20s perhaps. Percy was able to easily identify him as Chaos.
Having seen Void, the person before her could have been his spitting image. Unlike his father, his hair hosted no streaks of white. His eyes were beautiful and as enchanting and Void's.
Percy doubted that 'beautiful' was even the right term for it. They were purple and galactic sprinkled by dots of silver representing stars and clearly visible galaxies which seemed to slowly be drifting about aimlessly within the space, some disappearing behind the black holes which were his pupils.
The man's "6'3" build allowed him to tower over her. Something she wasn't quite used to as Percy herself was at "5'10". The man despite being dressed in only jeans and a simple shirt covered by a puffer jacket, was undeniably handsome.
'Dam you and your genes Void. Dam.'
Percy silently cursed in her head. Why did deities have to be good-looking?
Percy would never be able to understand.
Chaos was his father's spitting image his features, Sharp, handsome and defined. His eyes were genuine. With all things taken to consideration, it wasn't difficult to identify him as Void's son.
"Who...who are you?"
Percy added a stutter into her tone for effect and gazed at the man wearily, but sharply, ready for potential battle. Her dagger held before her. Percy's act must have worked the man smiled at her warmly as though to assure he wasn't a threat. Once again Percy couldn't help buy curse in her head.
She couldn't even begin to imagine the number of people he may seduced simply by having smiled in that simple manner.
"I am Chaos, creator of the universe."
Chaos' aura flared slightly at his words and gazed at her.
" I have been looking for you, Persephone."
Percy immediately bowed her head at those words. Her dagger lowered and she began to speak.
"Excuse me for my rudeness, lord Chaos. I didn't recognise you."
Before Percy would continue with her act. Chaos interrupted her and spoke.
"Don't bow, Persephone.I hate it when people bow or call me 'lord'."
The man's tone was almost like that of a whining child's and some how, Percy couldn't help but find his actions endearing almost.
"Call me Percy."
Percy told him, lowering her blade slightly before continuing.
"Why would you be searching for me, if I may ask?"
"Well, I am here to ask you to join me."
Percy blinked, the way he had phrased his words was strange.
"Pardon?"
"I would like for you to join my army, as either a commander, or assassin."
"Can I have a few moments to think?"
Percy saw the curiosity and surprise which crossed his face, but she ignored it and sat back down atop the rock to settle her thoughts. She was well aware that any sane person would have questioned the man further, but Percy was never a sane person and so, only did what was easy. The man didn't question her either so she didn't bother with it.
The choice of joining was already decided, this she was left with what position she wanted within the army. Both commander and assassin had their pros and cons, and after a few moments of deep thought, Percy made her choice.
