When da-hee got home that day, she got on her bed and immediately fell into a deep sleep. she had a dream that night that she was in a dark room or what seemed like a dark room; she could not see anything surrounding her, only darkness, she wasn't sure if she was in a room, a hole or some sort of void, only the darkness surrounding her, then she turned around and saw a light, it was a girl with red hair. At that moment da-hee's eyes started to tear up as the girl with red hair stared at her with so much pain on her face. Da-hee began to cry and cry until she finally woke up the next morning. She got up from bed and tried to prepare for school that day. She went to the kitchen to prepare her breakfast, where her sister already was.
"Whoa, you look like shit, did you sleep?"
Da-hee didn't respond as she was trying to make her toast.
"Are you still having those dreams? Which one was it this time? the girl with red hair or the one with the hand?"
"Why do you care?"
"Do you want to start seeing the therapist again?"
"That therapist is a quack."
"You need to stop blaming yourself for her death, she was a junkie."
"You know what I just realized, that I can neither sleep nor eat in peace in this house anymore." She stormed out of the kitchen in anger.
When da-hee got to school that day, she was already in a bad mood.
"Da-hee, da-hee!" uju screamed trying to get her attention.
"Whoa, you look like the undead, did you sleep? I have been trying to reach you, when did you start dating Lee hwan, I need the details come with me."
As uju dragged her away, da-hee's mind wondered between smashing uju's small head against a locker or her just having a heart attack.
When they got to the student lounge, they sat beside each other and uju asked.
"Did you have a bad dream?"
".... Yeah."
"Come, put your head on my lap and try to get some sleep."
"We have class." But Uju ignored da-hee and pulled her down, laying her head on her lap.
"I think we can afford to miss one class; besides you look hideous. If you had a nightmare, it is helpful to tell others what you dreamed about; it makes it less scary."
Da-hee didn't know why she felt compelled to tell her but she began to tell uju her dream as uju stroked her hair.
