Chapter 17 - Aurora G1

[After 30 minutes.]

"I-I am back? How many years have passed? I was sure I was sixty years old. It's refreshing to be back in my real body."

"Shinji's vital signs are normal. I detect extreme neural activity in the frontal lobe and cerebral cortex. I am beginning the process of memory erasure."

Eyva put her right hand on my forehead.

"No! Wait, I do not want to lose my memories. No!! Stop it!!!"

I felt like a part of me had disappeared. But I can not remember what it was. Oh well, if I can not remember, I guess it was not important.

Anyway, I have to go now. Time is passing.

I left the room and closed the dive gear.

"Ruby, are you here?"

Then Ruby appeared on the screen of my PC.

"Yes, I am here. What do you want?"

"Come on, we have not seen each other in four days. Show a little compassion for me."

"No, I don't want to."

"Eeh what I'm gonna do with you? How do you think Yuuki will react when he sees you like this?"

"For Yuuki, it's something completely different. You are you, and Yuuki is my fated one."

"You have been watching romance movies, have not you?"

"...Anyway, what do you want?"

"Did you hear about the train outside the city?"

"Yes, I have. What about it?"

"I want you to check the cameras and see how many robbers there are."

"What do I get out of it?"

"Hmm, I'll tell Yuuki to meet you in the game as soon as possible."

"Okay, deal."

"Heh."

Ruby disappeared from the screen. This silence was unnatural to me. I am used to either my mom or Ruby talking all the time and never leaving me alone. Fortunately, the silence did not last long.

After 3 or 4 minutes, Ruby reappeared on the screen.

"Ok Shinji, there are ten men in total. Three with automatic rifles and seven with pistols. There is also a bunch of C4 in the wagon number seven."

"Mmm, I see. Thank you."

"Do not do anything reckless."

"You know me, have I ever done anything reckless?"

"Yes. Yes, you have."

"Let us not dwell on those times."

"Do what you like. But I warned you."

"Yes, yes, do not worry about it," I said and left my room.

I went straight to our garage. Next to our family car, there was the car my father had built.

It has 1600 horsepower and can go 550 mph.

He had put a lot of effort into building this car. But he never had the chance to drive it. But now I have to use it to make it in time.

I grabbed the fabric that covered the car, and with a quick swing, I opened it.

The car looked like the usual hypercars. It was painted red and looked like it was ready to hit the road.

I stared at it a little longer. It was a work of art. And now I am going to be the first one to drive this thing. I am so envious.

I unlocked the car and sat in the driver's seat. I reached for the steering wheel and sighed. It was time for me to save my cousin.

I started the engine and drove slowly down the road in front of me. Then I revved the engine and made my way to the train.

As soon as I left the city, I accelerated even more. The car was going 287 mph. I had to get there quickly. It was only 40 minutes until the train blew up.

I pushed the pedal even harder. 300, 315, 330, 350. The car sounded like a howling beast.

At the speed I was going, I reached the train very quickly.

There were five police cars in front of the train, blocking its path. The policemen pointed their guns at the train and waited for one of the suspects to appear, I think. I parked my car about 200 yards from the train.

It was pitch black, so no one could see me as I approached the train.

I climbed up the ladder that was on the side of one of the train cars. I began to walk slowly toward the wagon. I stopped when I saw a hatch on one of the train cars. Fortunately, it was made of glass, so I could see what was happening inside.

A person was holding a gun and searching the area to see if anyone was doing anything suspicious. There were five passengers in that wagon.

The moment the man turned left, I opened the hatch, jumped down and put my arm around his neck. I started squeezing him until he passed out. I took the gun from him and looked at the hostages.

One of them wanted to thank me, but I warned him by showing him the other person who was in the front wagon.

But how convenient. This person's pistol had a silencer. I slowly moved on to the next wagon. I shot the other robber's arm with the pistol to disarm him, and then hit him with my punch so that he fell to the ground.

There were three people on the next wagon. One with an automatic rifle and two others with pistols. The three wore a mask with the shape of a devil, unlike the other two who were unmasked.

One of them was looking in my direction, so I quickly hid behind a seat.

Hmm, what could I do now that there are three people?

Ah yes, I can knock them down with needles.

But where am I going to find needles here? Let us search the seats to see if there's anything there.

I was lucky. There was a small box full of needles. Apparently, one of the passengers was sewing when the robbers showed up.

I grabbed three of the needles and threw them with one swift motion to each of these people. The first two fainted almost immediately, but the third was still barely awake. So I rushed forward and hit him.

I went to the next train car. There were four people there. Two with automatic rifles and two with handguns. Behind them was a crate full of C4.

How the hell did they manage to get something like that on the train?

Well, for now I'll have to figure out how to neutralise them first.

At that moment, I heard a gunshot and the fifth appeared from the next wagon. He dragged a woman and grabbed her by the hair. The blood left a trail as he dragged her closer and closer to the other four.

The other four surrounded her and pointed their guns at her forehead. The other said, "You really thought you could save that girl? Alone? Do not underestimate us!" He shouted and shot her in the left leg.

She cried out in pain as the blood began to flow.

Wait, they were talking about a girl. Do not tell me it's Hoyo. I did not see her in any other railcar and I am sure she was on this train.

The man continued, "All right, if you want to save her so much, I'll let you die together," and he went to the next wagon and after a while appeared with a young girl in his hand.

That… that black long hair, the red eyes... It was really Hoyo.

It was then that I blacked out. I could not think straight. I raised my hand and shot with the pistol at one of the two people with the rifles. The other four immediately started shooting at me.

I did not even try to dodge the bullets. One of the bullets hit me in the arm, but I did not even flinch. I just kept firing. A head shot, a second head shot, a third head shot. The only person left alive was the one holding Hoyo.

"W-who are you? W-what do you want from me? S-stay away." he said and fired once. The bullet did not even fly in my direction. It just flew out the window.

"Who am I? What am I doing here? I am just a nobody. And as for the second question, I guess I want your life." I said with a smile.

Again I raised my hand and shot him in both legs.

He fell to the ground screaming in pain.

I walked up to him and bent down to see his face.

He was shocked and his face looked like he was terrified. I liked that. All this time I had just been smiling. I was looking forward to torturing the person who had done this to my beloved cousin.

I still had the packet of needles in my pocket. I took them out, grabbed five needles and stuck them into his pressure points to immobilize him.

Hehe, that scared him even more. That's what I like to see.

Once again I shot him in the hands causing a hole to be formed in each one.

He couldn't move anymore, or scream. But he still felt all that pain.

I picked up a knife from one of the other robbers. I showed it to him and with a smile began to cut off the fingers of his right hand.

After chopping off each finger of his hand, I slowly began to cut open his left arm.

I had made sure he did not pass out so he could enjoy my little treat to the fullest.

When I was done with his arm, I took two more needles. I held them in front of his eyes and slowly moved them closer and closer until both needles were completely in his eyes.

"Aaah, I think it's time to finish our little game. Because I do not want my little cousin to see all of this."

I took the gun and put it in his mouth.

With a smile, I said, "Bye," and pulled the trigger.

The sound of the gun echoed through the train cars.

I stood up, shook the dust off my clothes and went to Hoyo.

She had fainted from fear when she heard the shots. I could not blame her. She was still young.

Well, okay, not that young. She's a year younger than me. Anyway.

I took her in my arms and jumped out of the train car.

When the police heard the shots, they immediately got on the train and started searching for the robbers. I guess they don't expect to find them like that.

I walked to my car with Hoyo in my arms. I gently put her on the seat next to me.

"I guess I'll wait until she wakes up."

Aah, that was refreshing. I enjoyed it very much. I should do that again someday.

Oh, wait, I still have the case with those behind this child trafficking.

Heh,I think I just found my next job.
