Axel lay down from the bushes to set up the position to hold his fire while waiting to spot his target. He smirked as he detects the target he was aiming for. He slowly took his sight up to focus on the target, taking careful aim. Only two more steps before it gets into range, he thought to himself as he indexed his sights.
"Well well, look who we have here." Axel quickly jumped out of the bush and fired upon his target. "Gotcha." The arrow hit its mark but was not enough to give out a fatal blow. His target quickly attempts to draw his bow, but Axel quickly takes cover again before getting spotted.
"Damnit." Axel cursed under his breath as he once again indexed the sight on his arrow and waited for the next opportunity to take another shot. The sound of footsteps drew his attention, but it was too late. He saw the arrow flying towards him just as he was able to jump into cover. "Shit."
Everette Aksnes, the newbie he's been taunting, keeps dying in his hands. He had encountered Everette before in the mobile battle royale and he still eliminate her the same way.
No mercy, just killing her every time to hear her swearing voice and see her pissed-off face in-game for his own enjoyment.
Axel was enthusiastic to finally equip his sweet M40A5 Sniper Rifle, a bolt-action long gun equipped with a scope, that is accurate without a minute of angle.
It is accurate to within one half-inch minute of angle meaning that under perfect conditions, shots taken at eight hundred yards should land within a four-inch circle, which is the current position of Everette.
He carefully readjusts himself and aims his shotgun. The target was strolling around the area, picking up the weapons scattered on the ground.
"Target marked," he whispered under his breath while readily holding onto the gun's trigger. With a blink of an eye, he pulled the trigger, and a smirk plastered on his face. The target takes cover in time but not enough when Axel's shotgun fires. The target's character collapsed and died, becoming a green figure in the 3D environment.
"Bullseye," Axel said out loud as he got up from his position.
Axel Fox, a pro player of Sole Survivor, is a sniper specialist who trained in shooting targets from incredibly long distances.
He can also be adept in stealth, camouflage, infiltration, and observation techniques. He is perfectly suited to sneak behind enemy lines to provide the command with information about the enemy's size, strength, and location.
Yet with advantages, every player has its own weaknesses.
From afar, a player with an eagle eye spotted him in a bush. Axel can't seem to find a hiding spot while trying to get away from his opponent so he resorts to running towards the other side of the island. Axel stops briefly to hide behind a tree, catching his breath while waiting for the sound of footsteps approaching. It didn't take long before he heard footsteps running towards him; he readies his shotgun and shoots at his target's foot who was still running.
Within half a minute, he was gunned down.
[You have been eliminated by player Rizwan Adler.]
Even if you're a great player, there will be always better than you as Axel always says that he can't accept.
[Resurrecting in 60 seconds!]
"This is unfair!"
A squad of five was hunting Everette down. She kept running until her stamina lowered, so she resided to stay put on a hiding spot. Suddenly, she notices a group of people running towards her.
"Oh no! This is the end... I'm dead again?" she thought, hopelessly waiting for them to find her so she can respawn back to base. But to her surprise, they didn't engage in firing at her. Instead, they ran past her and killed another player they encountered along the way. "What? They're not after me?"
Everette gradually approached them, hiding behind a tree while trying to get her composure back. She then decides to follow them closely but at a safe distance so she won't be detected again. The squad of five is following the map, trying to find a flock of players near the coast where they usually go for their kill.
"What's going on? Why didn't they target me too? What if they're only after someone else and not me at all? Do they have any hidden motive?" Everette's mind was full of questions that were left unanswered.
But then, to reveal the Safe Zone, she taps the map. A white ring is placed on the map at random; it's a glowing white circle. As the game advances, the blue ring begins to collapse toward the white ring. Players who remain outside of the blue barrier will be damaged until they enter it.
The Safe Zone was shrinking!
Meanwhile, Axel is slowly catching up with the squad that wasn't after Everette. He pays careful attention to his footsteps so they won't detect him. He looks carefully at his radar and readies his gun before sprinting forward. It didn't take long before he notices the group is now in front of him.
"It's about time I end this," Axel said to himself. He positioned himself quickly and without any hesitation, he smashes his firearm on the leader's head who happens to be at the corner where Axel was standing. The impact caused them both to be stunned.
"Agh, what the heck..?" he said to Axel who knocked him down. Axel aims his gun at his face and shoots point blank until it jammed. He was still trying to get up when he noticed another player approaching him from behind, shooting at him with a shotgun but he was able to dodge it.
'Not again,' she kept repeating.
Everette peak outside a little bit and saw no one coming. She stand up quietly along with her katana, she carried it in her back and equipped a pistol instead. She moved out of the zone cautiously, keeping herself safe from a foe.
A squad took action immediately when they spotted her alone. Everette is not aware enough to know that she's spotted from a tower.
A player was on top of it, shooting at her with his sniper. A player from the squad informed his teammates where Everette was hoarding. Their squad immediately made a move and tried to capture their opponent.
"Ah! He's up there! When did he get the chance to climb that tower? Was he already on it before or after I ran out?" she thought of what just happened seconds ago.
Just when she was about to run away, she spots another player coming from the opposite direction.
"Oh no! This is the second time I've been caught in a two-faced attack!" She immediately sprinted towards their location and started shooting at them from behind with her pistol. Her tactic worked. They were fighting each other instead. One of them was terrible with aiming so he kept missing his target and got hit in return for letting his guard down.
Everette almost reached her comrades' position when she spotted a group of players coming from the opposite direction. She ran towards their side to join them in their fight, but they were all killed before she was hit.
One of them lobs a grenade towards where Everette was, forcing her to hide behind a tree. She manages to escape the damage, but it still stuns her for just a second.
"Oh no! They're everywhere! This is bad... I'm dead again," Everette thought while feeling hopeless once more. She tried to get up when she spotted one of the squad members running towards her.
She grabbed him and pulled him down, stabbing his neck with her katana. She quickly followed it up with a shotgun blast before getting on her feet, trying to run away from them while they're still stunned at the sudden turn of events.
As hungry as a beast other members of the squad run to catch her. The players unleash the beast inside them and take their skills to the next level. Everette begin getting out of breath, and pain cramps surged through her body.
"My legs are killing me!" she exclaimed.
An opponent was about to grab Everette when a shadow behind her suddenly tackled the player.
"Move out!" Axel shouted, alerting Everette from the trap. He's on the same server as Everette again, making Everette worried twice as much.
The opponent kicked Axel's neck to dodge the upcoming opponent from his back. He made a triple kick in the air to the opponent, causing the opponent to depart away. Axel takes that as an advantage to flee with Everette.
"I can handle that!" Everette said.
Axel chuckled, "as if."
While running away, Axel senses someone who was following them. He abruptly tried to locate on what way the enemy was heading. He turns around while still running to fend them off.
"Move!" Axel shouted, throwing a grenade in their direction. The grenade exploded at the exact location he sensed the enemy was in before he threw it, signaling that the way is clear. He quickly ran with Everette's hand faster than her legs could run.
"We need to lose him." He was as fast as lightning when he runs contrariwise and locks up the enemy onto his hands.
Axel was about to knee the enemy but there's a little too much space to come up directly, that's why he uses the long knee technique and moves forward to strike the opponent. It works even better when he tried to hold the target's head and pull his toward the knee. He aimed for the soft parts of the abdomen and the groin to do some damage to the enemy.
His opponent let out a loud groan and Axel grab Everette's wrist who was acting like she's watching an action movie. They run the soonest to lose the enemy, but it tried to fight back by fish hooking Axel.
When Axel was in the posture of facing away from the opponent, the opponent takes the opportunity to reach around and slip fingers into Axel's cheeks and pull hard. This allows the attacker to control his head to a degree, it can incite panic in the enemy and hurts. The attacker carefully avoids the enemy's teeth since this can backfire quickly.
Axel did not let his opponent's technique defeat her easily, he pulled his enemy from his back which causes her enemy to land on the ground.
With all hatred and irritation, he grabbed the sides of the opponent's collar before pulling his hands into the center and crushing his opponent's neck with the knuckles of his index finger.
He tightened the collar to keep the opponent from squirming away while the knuckles cut off the target's airflow. By that, his opponent loses consciousness and they abruptly escape from the player's squad members.
They stopped at a forest and Everette grasp for air.
When she turned around to Axel, her eyes widened. He was too close! Everette stepped backward and looked away, but Axel took one step ahead towards her and lift her chin up as he gaze deeply into her eyes.
"Team up with me," he uttered.
Everette grits her teeth and smacked his hand away from her.
"You're such a jerk, get lost," she said, turning her back away from him.
Everette couldn't bear the sight of him who keeps killing her. She was irritated to such an extent that she was thirsty for revenge, yet she can't do anything but be towered over the player!
"You need me more than I do, you can't survive here alone," he said.
As Everette thinks through the circumstances, she can't deny the fact that Axel will be her biggest advantage in the game to survive knowing that many squad players can eliminate her easily - the heftiest disadvantage of solo players!
"What's the catch?" she asked, turning around to face him. Knowing that the man was aggressive, she prepared a dagger behind her just in case he tried to eliminate her again.
Axel smirked and began walking to her closer and closer until Everette hit her head with a tree. He cornered her but Everette kept her guard up.
"Simple..." he trailed off, leaning closer. Axel's hand traveled to the back of Everette's small figure and grabbed her dagger from behind and brought it to her neck.
Everette's eyes widened in awe and pushed his hands away from him yet he didn't even budge to move an inch. His eyes remained darted in hers and Everette couldn't resist his dominant charm.
With a deep, mischievous tone, Axel uttered, "obey my commands."
