Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — 1 Scripture, 2 Martial Techniques, The Woman Regained Consciousness

[Ding! Obtained the Ancient Refinement Scripture]

"This is?"

Jun immediately checked its detail and his eyes widened in surprise.

"It's a body scripture!"

Body Scriptures were things one could hardly find in the cultivation world. The top cultivation sects and the Imperial dynasty monopolized them, rarely does an independent cultivator get hands on them.

Jun naturally heard of this from his benefactor, the woman, three years ago.

Back then he had crossed over and appeared in the forest. And the woman happened to pass by and saved him from getting killed. They accompanied one another for one month and talked about many things about the cultivation world. And when they went separate ways, she provided him a sum of money, enough for him to last a decade. He had used that money to test his aptitude and bought seeds and tools.

So Jun's reaction wasn't exaggerated. For him to own this kind of scripture which couldn't be bought for any amount was simply a blessing!

Jun didn't regret his decision coming to sign in here. He finally realized the trick of this system of his!

He was quite happy.

Jun scanned the details of the [Ancient Refinement Scripture].

[Ancient Refinement Scripture] used the essence of the moon to refine the body. It has five stages in total. Namely, Crescent Moon, Half Moon, New Moon, Full Moon, Ancient Moon Body.

What piqued Jun's interest was that cultivating the [Ancient Refinement Scripture] didn't seem to be complex.

He had heard from the woman that body scriptures have many requirements. One body scripture might need the cultivator to jump in the scorching heat, while others might need one to stay in an absolute coldness to temper the body.

However, [Ancient Refinement Scripture] only needed one to sit cross-legged and absorb the essence of the moon during the night. This was simply too simple and convenient!

Furthermore, even though it was simple, the result of the tempering could be said godly!

When one reached the crescent moon body of the [Ancient Refinement Scripture], one's body would be immune to diseases. What's more, ordinary element refinement cultivators wouldn't be able to damage the skin.

If this wasn't godly, what is?

"It seems there'll be changes of plan."

Since he now had this scripture, Jun would naturally cultivate it. He wondered how powerful he would be once he attained the crescent moon level.

He couldn't wait for that time to come!

A month passed, and winter had already come.

Jun had temporarily stopped farming. The climate in the Peace Lonely Peak was very severe when winter came, probably has something to do with the landscape.

The temperature outside was harsh and cold, Jun rarely came out during the day. He only reluctantly stay outside when he had to cultivate the [Ancient Refinement Scripture].

This month, to his surprise, he actually obtained two martial techniques. Although he still had not obtained a defensive technique, he was not worried. [Lightning Flash], a sword technique, and [Lightning Feet], a movement technique, were pretty good martial techniques.

With [Lighting Flash], his sword would be as fast as lightning, even beasts wouldn't be able to react on time. Jun once tested it. [Lightning Feet], on the other hand, made his movement very agile. When he used it, his opponents could only see his shadows.

Naturally, he was satisfied with the martial techniques. Thus, he was not upset that he still did not obtain a defensive technique.

Jun's cultivation progress also advanced. He was now at the seventh meridian. His speed of cultivation had become sluggish. It would only take him one to two weeks to break through before, but now it takes him a month. He was nowhere near the Element Refinement.

As for his progress on [Ancient Refinement Scripture], Jun felt that he was almost in the Crescent Moon Body. He had no idea how many months it would take for him to achieve it, but he had no complaints.

He had just started cultivating seriously three months ago, after all. And now his strength had become so high that he could kill a ferocious beast with a punch. Jun was practically living in his dream!

He only needed to patiently wait and invincibility was up for him to grab. Within a thousand years, he probably had become invincible by then.

At this moment, Jun was in the kitchen room, humming. He was currently cutting cooked potatoes into as small as two meters. He was craving french fries so he wanted it for a snack.

His supply of salt was already depleted, but Jun didn't mind. He could eat one without salt.

After cutting the potatoes, Jun grabbed the container which was filled with sauce; made from grinding tomatoes.

Jun prepared his snack on the table and clasped his hands.

Before he could dive in, he suddenly heard noises. It seemed to come from his bedroom.

"Is she awake?"

Jun's eyes gleamed and immediately headed over. He arranged his clothes, cleared his throat, and only then did he open the door.

Screech!

The door opened bit by bit. The figure of a woman was seen inside. She was sitting in the bed, looking very confused. When the door was opened, her confusion even increased.

At this moment, she saw a young man dressed in a simple, white robe. He felt very familiar, but she couldn't recall no matter how hard she think.

"How's your condition?"

Jun asked calmly, but he was very concerned inwardly. He wanted to tell her that he was that guy from three years ago, but he felt it wasn't the time.

"I feel better. Seni— Sir, were you by chance who saved me?"

She remembered after having almost no way out, she desperately entered the Desolate Mountain for a chance of survival. On the way, she encountered many ferocious beasts. Coupled with her injuries, she thought she couldn't make it.

Who would have thought when she was going to give up hope, she heard a voice of a person?

Thus, she steeled her willpower, forcing herself not to collapse, and ran towards the source of the voice. When she found the person, her vision was already blurry. Before she fell unconscious, fortunately, the person noticed her.

"Your injuries were lethal. Your physical injuries are healed, but I'm afraid..."

Jun sighed.

The woman quickly understood what he was talking about. She knew that her injuries were very severe and that she probably would die by it. She didn't expect that with those injuries, she was still alive. Only high-tiered elixirs could save her from that state. Did this man in front of him have such expensive stuff?

Now that she thought of it, this person seemed pretty odd. The Desolate Mountain was a dead place no one would enter, much less living inside.

"Sir, where is this?"

She asked, wanting to confirm her hypothesis.

"Desolate Mountain."

Jun replied, staring at her eyes. After not meeting for three years, her voice still sounds as angelic as before. His heart couldn't help but beat.

"I see."

The woman fell silent. She closed her eyes and a sigh escaped her lips, "This is the end of my journey."

Jun didn't say anything but clenched his fist. Two weeks ago, he realized that this benefactor of his has had her dantian shattered. That means she was crippled. To think that a powerful figure like her was reduced to this state, Jun simply couldn't think what she had encountered.

"Mind a chat?"

Jun walked next to her, softly saying. He then sat on the chair which was next to the bed.

The woman nodded, she also have questions on her mind. "Sir, I'm Bing Xiumei. How may I address you?"

'Bing Xiumei? Graceful Ice? Her name fits her.'

Jun smiled. The memories three years ago flashed in his mind.

*

"Miss, wait!"

"Is there something else?"

"Before you leave, please, please tell me your name!."

"When we meet again, I'll tell you."

*

Now three years later, destiny entangled them once again. He finally had her name, making him feel nostalgic.

"Jun."

Jun said, "My name is Jun."
