Florence noticed Brent look at Junior, "Me, what are you looking at me for, I can't help you?"
Hearing his father say, "Jessy is right?"
Becoming more confused now, "What are you talking about Dad?"
When his father asks, "Junior, tell me what are you hiding from us."
Brent knew what they were asking which he would gladly reveal but he had promised Jessy he would conceal their marriage until she was ready to reveal it to everyone.
"Mom, Dad, I am right in front of you, this is craziness and you two are getting out of hand. Jeffery please take care of them and hide these for me." Placing the vehicle keys in his hand.
Walking out of the house thinking, ' Mom is beginning to sound paranoid just like Dad and if I stick around who knows I might start behaving like them.'
Brent entered the apartment and found Jessy the same way he had placed her the previous night. Thinking about it now, 'She was so heartbroken yesterday, and what was that letter about?'
Going to the couch gathering all the pieces, placing them into the envelope. Looking, into the room after clearing away the bottles from inside and the yard.
'She might sleep through the entire day,.'Locking the door then went to the office, At the office, Brent closed the door behind him and then took out the envelope putting the pieces together.
"Oh, my goodness, my precious wife is pregnant, I am going to have a baby but how did Dad know?"
He taped the report together using clear tape and then folded it, putting it away in his briefcase. "Lord, I must get her to understand that we need to tell our family, she won't be able to hide it for much longer."
When the thought struck him, he sat upright immediately, "I can't leave her alone any longer, I don't know how long this spell will last, and beside whoever is following me and the attempt in her life, if it happens again it might put my baby's life in danger. "
With everything on his mind and attending to the contracts that he needed to sign, Brent failed to realise he had locked his door. His only trend of thinking was he had to get to the construction site.
Resting the last contract down Brent smiled feeling this joy within. He opened the door and stepped out of the office. When Lystra saw him she stood up immediately looking at him with her mouth agape. When she came back to her senses she said still in shock, "Sir, no one was aware that you were in your office."
Observing when Lystra reached and took up a pile of mail, placing it in my hand. Brent found it a bit strange the way she kept glaring at him."Is something the matter Miss John ?"
Realizing her shortcomings and her shocked look she bends her head slightly and replies, "No Sir."
Lystra's mind went back to earlier in the morning, ' When I came in at eight and now is eleven thirty, did Boss come in before me or did he come when I visited the washroom? Miss Albert isn't here either did she leave the job or did Boss fire her?'
When Sylvia went to the staff room, she could not help smiling recalling the shocked expression on Miss John's face.
Brent asked wanting to shift their focus, "Is Miss Albert in the staff room?"
"No Sir! "
"Okay, when you see her tell her I need to see her in my office."
Lystra felt her head will explode, "I thought that fool was fired."
With that Brent turns around going straight to his office not looking at their reaction.
Observing Miss James was returning from the staffroom looking at him and her brows were furrowed. "Okay, carry on, I will just go through these then I will be visiting the construction site."
Returning to his office opening the mail, when Miss James knocked and entered. "Sir, I got you some refreshment, I know it's not like Miss Albert's snack but I am trying."
Brent lifted his head from the pile of mail, seeing her with a tray just as how Jessy used to bring his meal. Saying "Thanks, and will you just help me here, you, just open and I will go through."
Fifteen minutes later Brent rested back his head, closing his eyes, "This is wonderful, we almost got everything we needed to furnish the rooms I wonder who is responsible?"
