Chapter 204 - THIS IS TRULY A BLESSING

Sylvia cleared her throat, "You know something, Miss James?" Brent asks, with his eyes still closed feeling a heavy burden lifted.

"Sir, I don't want to speak out of turn but Miss Albert has written letters and has been visiting the stores daily asking for contributions."

Opening his eyes he responded, being alerted, "Okay, but who gave her permission?"

Brent knew legally she had every right but no one knew that. Sylvia was looking at him with her mouth open in shock. "Sir, I am sorry I didn't inform her she needed a Senior's permission before approaching the business community. Sir this is all my fault as her tutor, I am really sorry whatever disciplinary action you take I will accept."

Brent couldn't help admiring her sincerity. He recalls how his precious wife's stubbornness can be very an understatement.

Relieving her of all her concern and worry he said, "Miss James relax, it was just a shortcoming and as you can see she is doing an excellent job. She didn't jeopardise the Company name, she also allowed our Company to reach out and thank this business for their kind support. This is truly a blessing now without any delay we should send thank you cards and inform them that as soon as the home is completed we will visit to accept their kind contribution."

Sylvia felt relieved and almost whispered aloud, "If only Miss Albert was here to read these letters, I know she would be rejoicing and praising the Lord."

Unaware that she was heard she replies to his remark, "If you will excuse me, Sir, I will get the cards so you can sign them."

Brent was pleased with the way Miss James showed respect to his wife, "Very good Miss James, count the letters and get some extras just in case we collect some more within the next few days."

Standing up she places all the letters down, "Yes Sir, I will get on it immediately !"

Hearing the knock Brent looks towards the door thinking it is Miss John, when Eliot enters his office, "Boss I didn't know you were in, Miss James I need you."

Brent indicated to Elliot to take a seat, "Sorry, I stole your secretary."

"Boss you had us worried, and what are all those mail about?"

Seeing his curiosity Brent said, "Why don't you quench your curiosity by checking yourself" Seeing his hesitation, "Go ahead and check it through then give me your opinion."

Elliot remembers the few in his briefcase. "Boss, when did you send out these letters, I can't recall, we approved any letters sent for contribution, but this is excellent."

Brent smiles reassuring Elliot, "Well my friend I can't take the credit for it, your secretary is more informed than us."

Brent observed the puzzled expression and how his forehead had furrowed, "I don't quite understand what you are saying, if you didn't send it, then who did?"

"Boss Miss Albert did," Sylvia replies.

"What?" Elliot was shocked as well as concerned, "Boss, how can she disperse such letters without anyone being informed?"

Unbeckoning to what others may think about what Jessy did Brent said affectionately with the slip of his tongue, "Don't worry I trust her."

Elliot leans forward to take a closer look asking in deep concern, "Boss, are you alright? When did you become so blinded by the rules of the Company and start trusting so easily, especially, a newbie, she has only started working in the company a few months.."

Brent ignored his plea and said, "Elliot I understand your concerns but look for yourself and tell me? if she had any intention of bringing harm to the Company. And why do we get such good results?"

Elliot checked through each mail that Brent placed in front of him. Overwhelmed by the result of her letters. Elliot calculated the contribution quickly in conclusion he tallied two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

"Wow, this is marvellous, Boss, it has twenty-five hefty contributions. Boss, I am sorry but from these letters, I realized Miss Albert only had good intentions ""

Observing Miss James with a broad smile as she stood, Brent said, "Thanks, Miss James, will you buy three dozen." Sylvia decided to check through the list of names Jessy had printed and buy a few extras just in case she had forgotten to take notes of all the business names. Watching her leave his office, Eliot closed the door and returned to his seat, "Boss we need to discuss a few small details."

"Yes. Go ahead."
