When he reached his house, he hesitated to enter afraid what he had last night was real and he'll be met up by darkness, but it wasn't time to think negatively, his parents are inside and they're fine, his father is probably reading the newspaper while mother is cleaning the house.
"Cleaning..." mumbled Han Beom, he started to think of anything to help his parents with especially the things that might injure them, he knows that nightmare isn't like anything he'd dream of, he knows very well that whole thing was real.
For everyone, dreams are like anything, they come and go and they might repeat randomly but that's not the case for Han Beom, whenever money is in his dreams that's a warning to be careful from something that'll happen, it's kind of funny because such warnings have their own dreams but Han is different, he had noticed that part of him when he was young and when he told his parents about that they told him to keep it a secret so people don't use him for their own goods.
What happened to his father was in a dream but back then he wasn't able to interpret it so he worked hard to understand the other one he had dreamt and it was about his mother but sadly he couldn't make it on time, that's why he promised himself whatever similar dream he'll have he's going to act immediately with no second thought.
But a dream connected to life and death? That's new and a very dangerous sign, so he needs to keep eyes everywhere to make sure his parents are safe from any harm.
Kicking away all the thoughts he was having, he opened the door and went inside, the house was quiet but if someone focuses they can hear the tv, "I'm home!" he called still hesitant to enter but seeing his mother peeking from the corner with a warm smile and hearing her say "welcome home" faded away every dark thought he had and walked inside to the living room where his father was sitting.
"I brought gifts for you" his mother jolted at the word gifts and rushed to the living room leaving the vacuum working.
"Lin?!"
"Mother?!"
They both called at the same time scaring her, she walked back and turned it off before returning back and taking a seat behind her husband.
Han Beom took first three bags and pulled some warm clothes for them for the coming winter and showed them all to them, he then took out some sweets and drinks Aera had made for them, after all that he showed what's for him and even did a catwalk to lighten up the mood before the strike hits.
After he finished, his father picked one of the sweet's packs to start eating but he found a paper hidden inside instead, slowly he read the content and the name at the end, "Aera..." he mumbled trying to search his mind to remember someone with that name, when he gave up and decided to leave the thinking for another time he asked Han causing the poor boy to choke by his saliva "Who is Aera?"
"Aera is, ahem, a close friend of mine-"
"Is she the same person who got you the job?"
"Umm, mum Aera is a he not a she" he whispered leaving his parents in shock, Kim Beom's old memory started to work and bring back stuff he never thought he'll remember or even one day need, after checking everything he finally remembered that one memory of a kid whose eyes were lifeless and his body was small compared to those his age.
Han took the opportunity to talk about Aera and how he met him and the good things he had done for him leaving the bad parts assuming it's better to keep them hidden, what he didn't know was that his father knew all of this about Aera but what he didn't expect was the fact he took a liking to his son and even bothered himself to take care of him and change him to a more lively Han Beom with a new look.
After Han explained everything about him, his mother remained quiet for minutes before she stood from her seat and take their clothes' bags to their room and put them in the wardrobe, "tell him we're thankful and we'd like to invite him to dinner" she said before she disappeared in her room "don't worry son, everything will be alright. Invite him when he has the time. And about your job-"
Han Beom jolted at the mention of that word and started to shiver, what if his father ask him to leave it? He didn't tell his mother he's still working there, she still thinks he's just studying and the time he spends outside is whether in the library or hanging out with his classmates, which is something that'll never happen, but his father knows he's still working in that café and he even planned to pay him a visit there and meet the whole crew working there to know who are those his son is spending time with.
Until then he'll keep supporting him in the shadows without his wife's knowledge "please don't push yourself a lot, if you need any help with anything come and ask me and I'll try to help" Han Beom raised his head to look at his father who gave him a big smile assuring him, he smiled in return and jumped into his arms "yes father! Thank you so so soooo much!!!"
They all went to rest in their rooms after eating some of the sweets Aera made for them while watching one of the old family dramas, Han took the chance to contact Aera and thank him for everything. Strangely Aera didn't reply immediately like he usually does which worried him for a bit but when his phone's screen lit up and showed a new notification from the wanted one his face lit up and unlocked immediately to read the content
Hansel~ : Thank you for everything hyung! My parents are thankful and they'd like to invite you for dinner if you're ok with that. When do you have free time so I can tell mother?
