Draco was stuck inside his guilt. It was like a raging sea that was numbing him from the inside out. As Draco turned number and number, his conciseness' was suddenly pulled into his mind and he was standing inside the dark room once more. This Dark room was not the one he was standing in when he saw the scout again, but the room had a familiar feeling, and he could just tell this was the Dark room with the three voices.
Outside Draco's mind, his body collapse to the floor. The man that had cast the light barrier that surrounded the three of them walked up to the boy about to touch him when the women told him to stop. "Leave him, he's...being healed .'' The last two words came off in an awe-struck tone. The man didn't know what that meant at all, however, he did know that when it came to emotions, Crystal was the best person to listen to. The man backed off, deciding to let it play out and just continue to hold the barrier up until the boy recovered.
Draco looked around the area, wondering when he was going to hear the voices when suddenly the Uorder came walking out of the dark. Draco wanted to go fight it but he felt broken. "So we come full circle, How poetic. My new life starts with your death, might as well be you who finishes me off."
Draco had given up and as the goat walked closer, he was about to let himself fade into the darkness when it spoke. "I am not here to kill you young one." The voice sounded like gravel. Draco's attention was drawn back as soon as he heard the voice. "You're the third voice."
"That I am, young one. I noticed you were having a problem. I came to offer my help, or rather my guidance." Draco momentarily forgot about the guilt he felt not five seconds earlier as curiosity took him over. "Was that you that I killed in the cave?" The goat stopped 3 yards away from him. "Not quite. I take the appearance of a goat. Just so happens that you killed one of my Kin, however you never devoured it as you didn't know how then. Luckily you keep part of it with you at all times."
Draco could hear the smile in his voice but the goat's face was plain. "So why doesnt the other voices show themselves? The Dragon, and the lion?" "Well you have not devoured or absorbed anything else so they are not able to do so, yet that is. However, that's not why I'm here. I'm here because you needed my help."
The guilt came crashing back and he felt worse, seeing how he had been so easily distracted. "I killed them." "You did." Draco looked up into the goats eyes. "It was self defense… but the girl, Ann, I enjoyed it." Draco dropped his voice down to a whisper, almost like he was trying to convince himself rather than tell the goat. "I'm a monster." The goat watched all this with the same expression. Letting him say all he needed to say before he spoke.
"Do you know why we chose you?" Draco took a few seconds, still trapped in his mental prison of shame before those words finally registered. "Choose me. Wait, you chose me? You had a choice?" The goat laughed which came out as both the goat baaing and the gravelly voice laughing. "Of course, you didn't think it was normal to go through a trial, then get three fully sentient minds just plopped into your head, did you?"
Draco thought about it and it did make sense. He had never heard of a Title giving you three different minds. "Why did you three pick me?" "We picked you because you represent each one of our personalities within yourself, and we also picked you because a debt must always be paid. I suggest that if you make a moral code and stick to those few simple codes, then anything else goes."
Inside the dark, two figures' metaphorical mouths pulled back into a smile. The voice that dripped bloodlust spoke to the second voice. "He sure is great and talking." the second one scoffed. "There's a reason he picked the name Sophos. And besides, it's better this way. If he's caught up on things such as morals, then he will die in this world. And he won't even make it to other ones."
Outside Draco's mind, he was still lying on the floor motionless. The women felt the boy's emotions go from being stained with guilt, to understanding, then to bloodlust, then to acceptance. Crystal couldn't help but feel like the three emotions were infusing themselves to the boy, which intern made him less prone to guilt. She got closer as if the very act would allow her to see more, to hear what was happening, to experience it.
The goat stepped closer to Draco. "If they are a threat, they get taken down. we protect those we care about, those that side with scum are scum, and the most important one. No mercy." Draco listened to Sophos's Code, and it was almost like the goats voice was brainwashing him with that mantra. Then he repeated it out loud. Ending with No mercy. Draco was still hesitant but the words the goat had said made sense to him.
Draco stood up, his mind clear while staring at the goat. "I didn't get your name." "My name is Sophos," the goat bowed its head. "at your command." Draco looked at the goat then off into the black before speaking. "I'll learn your name next time, Lion." Draco vanished from the Dark room, Sophos' body also disappeared back into the darkness a second later.
Thanatos spoke. "I can feel it inside him. The bloodlust he locks away. Mmm, did you see the way he went after that healer! It almost melted our hearts! Imagine what he will do now that he won't regret it. I must thank you Sophos for adding that last code in." Sophos scoffed but stayed silent. He had done the part he had to play, now he will go back to being the mediator between the two.
