Chapter 132 - Chapter 132

After waiting a minute for him to change his pants, I see the old man return.

"Ahem! I'm sorry for that, your highness."

"What? Sorry about what? I don't see anything."

I decided to erase that memory from my brain.

"Ah, of course. Anyway, I can do that. However, can you give me some time to make them?"

"Of course. Can it be ready tomorrow?"

"Of course! I can ask some of the Wisdom and Acolytes to help me make them. Is this about the undead?"

I nod and say.

"Yes. They start to move and will start trouble. Melisandre says they will turn the entire world into an Infinite World of Snow."

"Ah, I see. And you believe her, your highness?"

Alchemist Guild and Melisandre did not have a great relationship. Melisandre always tries to convert the member of the Alchemist Guild into a believer of R'hllor because, in her mind, they are already a follower of the Red God for their obsession with fire.

"As much as I don't want to believe it, I can feel it. I can feel the disgusting mana coming from the north, and it is spreading. The only thing that prevents them from spreading south faster is because of the runic array on the Ice Wall. It is their prison, but even prison can be breached."

The Grandmaster nods his head in understanding and says.

"Very well. I will happily help you. Do you need the other to help?"

"If they want it, I will happily have them."

"Then I will gather volunteers. How many people will you bring?"

"Around seventy from my side. They will help me build a catapult or some kind of device that lets you throw liquid fire."

"Ah, we already have that kind of device, your highness!"

The Grandmaster gets up and walks to the nearby chest. A second later, he takes out a small device and one glass ball.

"Here is the device, your highness. It has the same mechanics as a crossbow."

He pulls the handle and places the glass ball inside the device. When he presses the trigger, it launches the glass ball out. Surprisingly, it is relatively fast.

"What do you think?"

"It is good, but I have a feeling it did not have good range."

"Sadly, yes."

"We still range. That's why I ask the engineer to make something to throw the liquid fire. Can I ask how big it will be?"

He gives me the last glass ball and says.

"It will be this big. It will be filled with liquid fire."

"Good. I will take this."

I take the glass and store it inside my inventory.

"Anyway, have you found the best way to kill them? As far as I know, fire is the best way."

"And it will always be the best way to solve problems!"

Of course, a pyromaniac will say that.

"Just answer the damn question."

"Oh, right! Sorry about that. You are right. Fire is the best way to kill them. However, a regular fire cannot harm them. Only a fire with magic can do that. The best one is Wildfire."

Wildfire, the fire that supposedly is the brother to Dragon Fire. It burns intensely and lasts long, three days to be exact. Also, after the fire dies down, it will leave a mist-like residue that makes any fire started in this area explode.

Luckily, the Alchemist Guild made a more stable formula with the Black Dogs, White Cats, and my help. It will not explode when it gets exposed to oxygen and water. You need to light the liquid with fire to make the chain reaction.

In this situation, I need them to be ablaze when exposed to oxygen.

"How fast can you make a wildfire? Not the newest formula but rather the previous one. I want them to explode when they are exposed to air."

"With enough resources and manpower, I can make ten of them in an hour."

"Does the other Wisdom also have the same production speed?"

"Sadly, no. However, they can make three to five of them in an hour."

"Gather Wisdom that can make them fast."

"I will, your highness."

"What is the other method to kill them?"

"Ah, right! The other one uses Dragonglass. They have a cold outer shell, but inside of them is magic that has the same property as the hottest volcano."

"Dragonglass, huh? We are lucky that I bought many of them in the past."

Before the civil war, I bought a lot of dragonglass from Stannis. I bought three ships worth of dragonglass. They have a unique magic inside of them that makes me curious. If not for my duty as a king, I will use at least a quarter of them by now.

"Is dragonglass good as armor? I have yet to test it. I only tested their ability to store mana and how good it was as a conductor."

"Sadly, no, your highness. We have tested it, and the result is not as good. If you make armor made of pure dragonglass, it will be bad armor. However, combining them with steel is a great way to enchant them. But…"

"But?"

"It takes a lot of time to combine them. It takes us a full day to combine them. You need intense heat that continuously burns the dragonglass. We need wildfire to melt and perfectly combine them."

"Really? I have melted dragonglass in the past, and it did not need that much effort."

"That is because you only melt pure dragonglass, your highness. For whatever reason, dragonglass refuses to fuse with other metals. You need extreme heat to make it willingly fuse with other metals. However, the result is a perfect armor that is flexible and durable enough that even our best sword cannot penetrate."

"I see. Sadly, we don't have time to do it. I will ask the blacksmith to make enough swords and arrows made of dragonglass for this expedition. I will leave the wildfire in your hand. Make sure to gather the ingredients to make them in the makeshift fort in the north."

"Of course, your highness. Leave it to me."

I nod and get up.

"I need to go back and map the north. I need to see the movement of our enemy."

"Of course."

After saying my goodbye, I walk to the portal point and return to King's Landing, where I see Melisandre waiting for me.

"Welcome back, my Azor Ahai. I'm ready to accompany you to see the Great Enemy."
