Barron felt the world all around him beginning to spin, as his eyes rolled around in the back of his head. From the peaceful air to the ground in under seconds, his body felt sore and raw the minuet he felt the cold stained floor underneath him. His legs folded on top of one another, and his arms laid out gently on top of his thighs, he took his stunned sight and turned to stare at the back of himself. With his eyes pressed against the gruesome sight of his own body, he thought about gagging, before wanting to throw up came over him. The toxic presence was leaking down his bare back, along the beginning of where his spine started, the poison kept rolling down as he felt the liquid sweep into his clothing. He felt warmth, then the disgusting scent of his own body, as he feared even touching the state of his wings. The thing he'd done, the thing he'd been warn not to do, well, he'd clearly done it.
The large room around him looked much smaller in size now, for all the big windows and white walls, most had been crushed and destroyed from the large explosive power of his wings. He'd exploded his own wings in order to save the ones he cared for. And even though there wasn't any blood or wounds along his body, the toxic substance he felt, had certainly came from the inside of his wings. He was sure of it. His entire body had been left cleared, aside from the amount of gross and disgusting warmth of the liquid. One time, he remembered the first conversation he'd had with his brothers regarding the matter. The explosive power could only be used once, and only once. Once meaning only once. And that was because once he found the bravery, to make up his own mind to use the dangerous power, he'd be left with no more use of his wings. Which mean't he'd be powerless. A demon capable of unleashing not even a single drop of magical power.
But he knew the risk, he knew what he was getting into it, he'd made up his own mind on his own. He was sure Ren and Bright were going to yell at him any moment, so as he laid there, he waited till he could hear footsteps. The raging electrical wires belonging to broken machinery, sounding off in his right and left ear, as he tried his best to keep his fingers away from the gross mess staining his back. The breeze of the cold that suddenly waved through him, past his bare back, for his clothing had been ripped apart the minuet the explosion power, ripped through them like stand paper.
Although, the front of his shirt was still covering his chest and stomach, which was odd, but Barron knew better then to question such stupid and so unimportant matter such as his fashion.
''I should kill you for what you just did!'' Snapped a very angry voice. Barron was standing in seconds, as he processed the raging, and very angry voice. Shielding himself, with his hands wrapped around his head, in defence, the smoke that had formed around the small area, began to clear, as he took in the very angry eyes of pale baby blue.
''Aaron...'' He whispered as he took in the sights of his very pale, yet icy blue skin.
''What the hell was that?! You could've killed us!'' He snapped, reaching with both his hands to grab onto his collar, but froze once his eyes seemed to magically soften, as his entire face fell. Following with the sound of something sharp flowing through the peaceful air. A confused expression appeared on his face, as he titled his head in even more confusion. But once he used his brain to figure out where the sound had come from, the trembling and shaking of his entire body stopped, as he smiled a wide smile.
''Your okay...'' He whispered in a soft and gental voice. As his eyes searched both the faces belonging to his brothers, he found himself unable to hold in his breathing, and joy. He was running to them in seconds, pulling the two of them close, tightly, towards himself, even though his head only managed to lean against the bottom half of there bodies, because of how much shorter he was then them. As he made sure to figure how what had happened to Aaron, he was quick to make the connection. The sharp sound from earlier, was Ren. Ren had stabbed him. He was worried at first, but was able to slow himself down after a few seconds, when he saw another, and last familiar face, as he came into view.
Edward.
Edward came towards the three of them, seeming to apply pressure on some recent wounds, that looked to have started bleeding pretty badly. He was sure to make sure Ren hadn't killed Aaron, as he bowed over him.
''Was that necessary?!'' He snapped, his fiery eyes glued to Ren.
''If you had considered doing it yourself, none of this would've happened.'' Ren whispered back. ''Just be lucky I was able to grow a pair, and take him out before he could hurt Barron.''
''He wasn't going to do anything! You don't know him like I do, were you even listening to me when I said, he's my responsibility!'' Edward barked.
''We're not trying to start anything with you, Edward.'' Bright suddenly chocked up, his voice seeming just as gental as before everything had gone down. Even though for everything they'd been through, he was still deciding to keep himself calm and collected, unlike Edward and Ren who were still as spiritual and fiery as before. ''We understand the burden you've had to go through, its just, he messed with Barron. Plus it was his doing, he was the reason we were brought here.''
''Your right there, Bright, I'll agree with you on that.'' Edward nodded. Barron had his eyes glued on the warm one, as he knelt himself down next to Aaron's bleeding body. The amount of blood he was losing at first didn't seem like a lot, but Barron still couldn't be sure. He was only seeing the wound from one angle of his body, who knew for sure the correct amount of blood lost. As he watched him, he was quick to get to Edward, grabbing for both his hands, as Edward was quick to fight back. Jumping up in the air, so he was now on both his knees instead of down on both, and stared. Staring at him with an ugly, angered, expression.
''What're you doing!'' He snapped.
''I know what you were going to do.... You can't be serious!'' Barron snapped back. ''You can't be seriously considering giving that monster back his powers! How stupid are you? Did those experiments fry your brain or something?'' He hissed. ''And your supposed to be the smart one.'' He growled.
''You just don't understand do you? Do you? I'm dying here anyways, Barron. With these powers..... if I don't return them, I'll die.. Do you understand what I'm saying! I'm gonna die!''
''What would be so wrong with that?! You've already done so much, been through so much, just allow yourself some peace.'' Barron whispered, his expression dropping, as the others stared at him, concerned, and a little worried. Bright was the first who thought about comforting his youngest brother, but was stopped the minuet he searched Ren's eyes. The two needed to refrain from getting involved. It was clear Edward trusted him more than he did them, how much help would they be, if they only allowed themselves to get involved now. Surely, they'd have trouble understanding either way. At that moment, there wasn't anything else important to them then the safety of their brother. And as of now, Ren was already trying to hold himself back from Barron. Who was still soaked in blood from the explosion. It had been clear to him the moment he'd been freed along with the others, from the mind control. Plus the huge explosive pieces, and leftover scent of the toxic poisons, still spread, and mixed with their fresh breathable air, which from time to time caused them to choke before they got it under control after a couple seconds.
''Your asking me to die.... your giving me permission to be at peace?'' Edward was speechless by the time his words stopped forming from his mouth. He was left completely heartbroken, as the shattered glass that kept his body glued together shattered into pieces, where he stood.
''I'm only telling you this, because I think you need to hear it. Honestly, I see what kind of state you've been in for days. Its hard to watch, Edward, it truly is. I'm just telling you, you have permission. Be at peace...''
''I won't do that.'' He groaned. ''I won't let myself die yet.''
''Why? I don't understand? Don't you just want to be peaceful? Instead of having to go through so much stress, and suffering? Your goal to save Aaron, truly has broken you. Mentally, more than physically. You don't need to listen to me, but its important you at least think about it.''
Barron was suddenly overwritten with shock and adrenaline, as he was knocked down to the ground. Landing painfully on the good side of his body, as to be careful of his wings. He stared up at his attacker, angry that he'd punched him, but understanding to explain the reason behind it. Anger. Edward was clearly upset and angry, that was the one emotion he understood the most. He felt arms underneath him as he was pulled to his feet. Underneath him, just on his left he could see Ren's blood covered, steel, sword. The blade had been shattered pretty badly, but the handle and parts of the medal still remained. He would't be able to use it for fencing or practice and win, but it could still be used.
''Your broke your sword...'' He whispered.
''Yeah, it just kind of happened, I'm not sure what happened to it.'' Ren replied, as he and Bright remained close to their little brother. Now, they were needed even more than before. As Ren had his eyes glued on Edward, on the side of him, just past Barron, was Bright. Who was ready to attack in case Edward thought about more than a conversation. The three of them scent cold chills down Barron's spine, as the tension grew higher, as the leftover sounds of broken wires, from damage mechanical equipment exploded and cracked followed by blue electricity from the short outs.
''I won't die, Barron.'' Edward hissed, his deep, dark voice, cutting into Barron's flesh, as his face grew once it was covered with dark shadows. The shadows covered his entire face, and forehead, but a small corner, allowed his mouth to be visible. Edward was serious. Serious, and scary.
''Alright, forget I said anything.'' Barron replied, in a attempt to lift some of the fear he suddenly felt running through his veins. He could feel his breath starting to turn cool, the minuet the temperature in the room began to drop. Neither of them knew what was wrong, but as Ren reached down, his hands pressed tightly on the handle of his sword once more, sweat began forming around the handle. Most likely from how tightly he was holding on it. He wasn't sure what had Ren all concerned, but Bright seemed to share his feelings, as the two moved around Barron, and stopped. Right in front of him, as Edward turned to stare behind him, with a dropped gaze.
Edward suddenly felt the tight grip of someone, as he was instantly pulled down. His body fell to his knees in seconds, but he did not pass out. As he fought to reclaim his own hold, a struggling expression placed on his face in seconds, he grunted and struggled, screaming, and crying out, which had a hold on his words, he was unable to tell anyone what was happening. Although as Barron turned to stare at him, his eyes dropped, and he was off in seconds. Running towards his friend, sliding his body quickly across the slickly glass covered floor, he gasped a few times as he managed to get cut by a few pieces of leftover glass, but was able to ignore it, as he grabbed onto Edward's palms. Gripping and yanking for him to be free again, as a blue light loomated over the two of them, a icy shade of blue, guided the two away, as Barron was suddenly moving away from the scene, and in a few seconds, Edward found himself free. But as he moved himself away from the scene, he found himself weaker.
Staring down at his palms, a shocked and confused expression on his face, as he suddenly turned his gaze over to Barron. Who stared at him, with the exact same expression.
''Are you okay?!'' He asked him.
His speech came out soft and covered with tingles as Barron felt a whole bunch of tingles, followed by numb and empty pain as it stormed down from his chest, into his stomach. In minuets, he was expressionless. Numb to everything around him, until he heard a small chuckle, one that carried nothing but death, as it brushed past everyone in that single room.
''Finally... took you long enough, didn't it, Edward?'' Whispered the same dark, deep, voice from before. The chuckles grew louder and louder, as finally Bright and Ren were able to realize what had happened, and in seconds, they were back, protecting Barron. Edward, however, seemed to be unable to move himself. In danger, he still was. The middle, from where he was standing, only gave him a wide opened view of the person in front.
Blood slipped from a wound on the person's body, which dropped to the floor, in two drops. Even though the entire part of The investigation Wing, had been tainted with so much human blood, Barron found himself unable to keep himself aware. The scent of blood ws natussting, and only twisted his stomach into knots, as he was forced to take in another breath filled with it.
''He gave him back his powers? Didn't he?!'' Ren barked, the conclusion of what had happened hitting him almost immediately.
''Seems like it.'' Bright replied, his voice unsteady as his hands chilled with the colorful orbs of his powers.
''Bastard! Do you have any idea what you've done?!'' Ren shouted towards Edward. Who still didn't even seem like he was all there.
''Its not his fault, he was grabbed! I tried to help him.'' Barron cut in, as he came to Edwards defence.
''Doesn't matter, I don't care what happened, I just care about what I'm seeing right in front of us!'' He barked. ''Barron! Your getting out of here right now!'' He ordered. ''Your injured, and I won't allow anything further to happen to you, got it?!'' Ren ordered.
''Absolutely not!'' Barron shouted, his eyes filled with anger, and confidence, as he pushed past his brother, but was stopped, the minuet Ren grabbed onto his wrist. Then as Ren's grip loosened, he sent him falling to the ground a few feet away from them. His body connected with the back wall, but he'd been sure it wouldn't hurt him, as Barron's eyes rolled, covered with dizziness. Ren's strength when he had an inside goal, he was trying to protect, was one of amazing. He wasn't just skilled with a sword, sometimes combat.
Aaron launched himself towards the two brothers in seconds, ending with his teeth stabbing them in many places. Bright who'd just been elbowed in the stomach by Ren, was stopped in the attack in minuets, causing him to fall behind, as Ren was at full force to keep going. Launching towards the vampire cold one, as he managed a gruesome attack on Aaron's shoulder. Slicing off a piece of skin and flesh, as blood poured from the wound. Aaron studied him with his now bright blue eyes, seeming as though they deepened in color the minuet his powers were given back to him. A gruesome expression planed on his face, as his smile twisted.
''I'm going to enjoy this!'' He shouted, launching an attack towards Ren's right shoulder. Inflicting a bloody attack with what seemed to be very sharp nails. The attack was quick, easy, and pretty small. Ren who glared at the opened wound, confused as he watched the blood flow, roll down, staining his clothing in seconds.
The color of his blood was black and vibrant. The shade only increasing in brightness, the more the two stood under the bright lights, of a few of the bulbs that hadn't been broken from the explosion.
''Demon blood..'' Edward found Barron's gaze, as the words slowly cooled, escaping past his lips. ''Demon Nation...'' He said again. As Barron tried to calm his breathing, he was able to pick up on his brothers glare. Bright, who stared at him, with his pale pink eyes, edged a message into his brain, which got to him so quickly, he switched from his old position, to his knees. His eyes finding Ren and Aaron, fighting, just past the recent amounts of smoke.
''I can't...'' Barron cried. ''I have no more strength, my wings are destroyed.... I can't help him.'' He bowed his head, as the chilling, small layers of cold, stormed past him, glass and the sound of shattering, filled his hearing. Another shattering sound, then the heavy, tossing, of something hitting the floor.
''His sword...'' He whispered through a mouthful of sorrow.
As time seemed to drain away from the three of them, Barron had himself stop watching. Him and Bright were clearly powerless at the moment, and Edward, still seemed out of it. Smoke from the rubble, filled his vision, as he could make out red and black blood covering parts of the floor. In a trail, guiding him to all the places Ren was.
''Barron!''
''Bright?'' He answered, a look of confusion on his face as to why his brother was calling him. Shouting at him, only made Barron's blood run higher, as the addrenline inside him increased.
''There's one last thing, you can do to help him!'' He shouted.
''How? What do I do!'' He shouted back, eager to learn the truth, as he waited for Bright's words.
''Bright! I swear-you'd better not be giving him any ideas! He's to young for that!'' Ren seemed to shout at him. Although, Bright was choosing to ignore him. Which seemed to only anger Ren more, as Barron could see past Bright, his face landing on Rens. As he could see the result of the fighting. Blood. So much black blood, covered him. It was an awful sight to see. Hunting and poking at Barron's heart more, he chose to listen to Bright. Brights words were simple enough. One word came from his mouth.
Blood.
Barron's mind connected to the plan so fast, it was hard to believe his body was acting a single though, instead of picking at every single thing like it used too. Bright watched from a few inches away, his face covered with scars and scratches that seemed to have started bleeding, without him being aware of it. He only noticed once the liquid rolled from his cheeks to the floor. He was quick to get rid of it, by wiping it away with his hand. Blood was the key to stop Aaron. Barron's blood, although..
