Bob needed some rest. The tension he got from the prosecution process and the miscommunication with the media let him back at home. Bob needed her wife and Kids who were solely for him always there. Sandy would do her job anyway alone.
Bob's wife Christi was a typical New Yorker. She had a Tax Office in New York where they met for the first time, as Bob was in his twenties. Christi was charming, calm, and a bright person. She had less to hide and was always straightforward. Bob liked that mostly. Although sometimes he was searching for some romance as Christi again pushed out all her thoughts. Because Bob often lost his way when Christi was talking. He forgot the name of her girlfriend and also the complicated characters. He had no clue why he had to remember them all. But working longer with Sandy, Bob realized he needed someone who shared more like Christi. He got energy and brightness from her. And jumped to her story and emotion like the world would end tomorrow. Then he was happy. Looking at Christi smiling, he knew that it all went well on the Californian beach.
Sunday morning, the day before he planned to go back to New York, he toddled to the coffee bar to take out his precious day opening. And there she was, his firefighter.
„Hey, Sandy, what brought you here? Hopefully not me, hahaha"
Sandy looked at Bob and told him to buy her a cup of coffee. And slowly began to tell him that everything went well, but she came as there was a proposal to fire the best friend of Bob, and she had to agree. Sandy told Bob that she was sorry not to communicate that before with him. She had no chance to negotiate.
Bob's Friend Carlos was a good guy. Although Carlos was an alcoholic, he was always loyal and trustworthy and his best friend. And Sandy was asking him that he should be back in Alabama. Shit. What a F…ck.
Bob remembered how hard he convinced Carlos from Havard to work with him. As Carlos was Bob's soulmate, and the best on earth, he wanted him in the firm! That was of course! And now he should be jobless because a stupid shareholder had a deal?
Oh my, poor Sandy. No friends in life. That was obvious. Bob told nothing to Sandy this time. He had no time for that. Bob was calling Carlos, hoping that he would be sitting with his grandma at the Bench in his garden.
