Bob liked Carlos and maybe more.
The thought was heading on Bob's mind. Loving and staying beside his friend. But not getting back what he might have gotten was, until now, not essential.
But suddenly, after he realized that Bob had an affair with Sandy, he realized that the real Carlos might have completely different thoughts than he might think.
But at the very end, all was the same. Bob needed him and was still with him, who chased him till the end of the street and let him in his house.
Changing the ground was Bob's strength, and he liked being challenged. Although he was usually confident, it was always an exception with Carlos as he was his soulmate. At least for Bob.
For Bob, it was essential to exchange his thoughts with someone interested and support the theme with knowledge. So he liked Carlos as he was intelligent and courageous.
Bob thought about how it could be at the firm without Carlos. He might need a new strategy head and should do some calculations himself. That's all.
But Bob mentioned shortly before he left Carlos.
"Let me know. If you need me, I will always be there for you."
This was not a farewell and also not a notice of letting someone know that all things would go well, so don't worry. Instead, it was a message that could only be delivered if someone was indeed friends or in love.
Carlos knew that Bob cared a lot about him a lot. But Carlos needed to get his own life on a stand. So that Bob couldn't count so much, he needed a new job. He needed a new girlfriend and a lodge to live in. He crawled too long around with not thinking about the consequences.
