Chapter 6 - I Hope You Are The One

In three hours they finally arrived right before the goblin settlement. The settlement was quite large for just a single clan. Luke was sure that this wasn't just a goblin settlement, but a goblin horde.

(A/N: A horde consisting of five clans contains about 2000 monsters and 10 leading demons which is far larger than a settlement which has only one clan containing 400 monsters and two demons.)

"I knew that this wasn't a small settlement, but a horde!" Luke thought out loud, startling the female archer elf with black edged scarlet hair besides him.

"So that's why you took part of the royal guard!" The young lady besides Luke exclaimed with a look of admiration on her face.

'How could such a young kid find out the true amount of monsters?' She wondered as she instantly stared at Luke with a curious expression.

"Sir, should we charge into the settlement or wait here for them to charge out to us." A soldier walked up to Luke and explained while throwing glances in the red haired woman besides his prince.

'I hope she doesn't want his blood?' He thought, but shook off the thought as he saw her calm and reserved demeanor.

Luke on the other hand had another plan he wanted to execute that will surely bring down these fools in a way that they won't incur too much casualties.

"We could just crush em' immediately. I don't think charging into their territory blindly would help us end this quickly. Tell those with ranged and area abilities to rain hell upon their defences first. We can send some scouts in the middle of the confusion to help gather information about them, like their estimated strength and affinity with their terrain." Luke said with a smile on his face as he drew out his sword and swung it down vertically, signalling the ranged and area attackers to fire before adding, "Then we can think about either luring them out or charging in."

The elven knight was dumbstruck throughout Luke's entire battle strategy. He was even more shocked to remember that it was a four year old giving him the instructions.

'He is planning on weakening their defences, learning about them, and plunging them into total chaos.' The blood elf thought as he grinned broadly with the words 'Interesting' all over her face.

Suddenly the elves with ranged or area abilities began to fire off their powers into the settlement. Luke narrowed his eyes as he watched the powers rain down upon the settlement.

The goblins in the settlement were running about aimlessly as they were being struck by various powers. Their makeshift building were blown apart by the strange powers as the goblin were thrown into a state of absolute confusion.

A scout returned to Luke after watching how the enemies behaved and how much they had adapted to their environment. The scout was a short boy with glistening jade hair that stretched down to his shoulder blade.

"Prince, the demons are holed up at the centre of the settlement, commanding the goblins on what to do and how to do it." The scout reported while playing with a strand of his hair.

"Thanks, Kyle. Men! Crush em' to pieces!" Luke ordered as he rode into the settlement with killing intent radiating from his sword. He knew waiting to set up a trap for the goblins would be pointless as the monsters were very smart and may try to ambush them from behind.

The guards roared as they all charged ruthlessly into the settlement, slaying anything monster on their way.

Luke stabbed and slashed, breaking through the enemy ranks and into their core. He slaughtered his way to the centre of the settlement while his army dealt with the goblins.

Luke killed goblins in one clean slash as he made his way to the settlement centre. Blood smeared his little face and parts of his clothes as he severed heads and limbs ruthlessly.

He deeply admired his sword as he hacked down the goblins. He was able to bring them down in one blow, completely putting him on a whole new level compared to other children.

At the centre of the goblin settlement, and on the top of a tall castle like structure, stood a horned goblins with spikes protruding out of it's back. It was armed with armour and an spear that has a rune carved along it's handle. It's skin was black and scaly, a big difference from ordinary goblins with green skin.

!

Luke somehow could feel the demon from afar. He slaughtered his way up close and he finally saw it, a black skinned goblin with horns. His grip on his tightened as he furrowed his brows.

He understood that he might be stronger than than most knights, but beating an advanced goblin wasn't a piece of cake. If a goblin was smart, it would be smarter! Luke cursed the god of luck in his mind as he looked at the enemies equipment.

Overall Equipment:

Quality: Standard

Effects: Skin Hardening

Defence +10

Luke really wanted to cry, if the enemy had a standard overall equipment quality, and almost all of them were defence based... Luke really knew he would have a hard time dealing with the demon alone.

'Where in heavens name are my team?!' Luke screamed in his head as he looked up to the black goblin who suddenly twitched.

Not a good sign...

Luke got into a battle stance as he closed his eyes and unleashed his dormant internal energy. Immediately he released his internal energy, a huge shockwave blew right after, destroying the buildings around him.

!

[Skill Mimicked!]

[Description: Anytime you force release your internal energy, you will also release a wild shockwave the size of a grenade explosion]

[Effect: Stuns; Destroys]

Luke used the horned goblin's minute of confusion to close the distance between him and the horned goblin. He made a vertical downward slash with all his might, surprisingly splitting the demon in halves.

Holy!!!

Luke looked at his sword and and the demon again. Extreme shock was on his face as he loosened the grip on his sword.

[Advanced Demon — Black Goblin!]

[300 General Exp Granted!]

[Rank +1]

How?

Was this the power of having a monstrous internal energy? This was definitely the product of having an amazing weapon that could properly endure the pressure exerted upon it by the user's heaven defying prowess.

Luke pumped his fist as he looked up ahead for any more targets before taking steps forward. He was only steps away from his former position when something shot up out of the ground prompting Luke to instinctively it.

Luke looked at the red scorpion like demon before him with a frown on his face. The demon had a tough layer of black scales layering it's vital, while a strange scarlet crystal was on it's head.

As the was about to make us move, a red eagle swooped down to Luke's side. It had beady red eyes of a lighter red shade than it's body.

The female blood elf from Luke's team ran to Luke's side right after the eagle with a smile on her face as her eyes fell upon Luke. Blood was all over her face, making her revealed fangs look even more intimidating.

Luke only spared the lady a glance before looking back to the scorpio with a his energy pulsating through his veins. He took a battle stance as his body tensed.

Immediately after Luke took his stance, eight other demonic black goblin walked out of their hiding places.

"Kid, wanna take the leader or subordinates?" The blood elf asked as she drew out her twin daggers out of their scabbards.

"Leave that scorpion to me." Luke said with a sadistic grin on his face as his killing intent was directed at the scorpio ahead.

"Oh well..."

*****

Fay dodged a claw coming at her face. Her eyes flashed as she immediately threw a backflip and landed a few metres back.

A humaniod tiger like demon glared at Fay with extreme killing intent as it leaped towards her with a ferocious glint in it's feline eyes. Fay instantly disappeared from sight, leaving the demonic tiger in a state of confusion as it missed it's target completely.

Slash~!

Blood splattered everywhere as the humanoid tiger's head was severed from it's body which dropped down to the ground. Fay then appeared before the dead tiger with a grin on her face as she saw the creature in it's pool of blood.

Ever since she learned her skill there was no one who could defeat her, she had been trained ever since birth in the arts of one on one combat. Many have tried to take her on, but because of her advanced invincibility skill, she became a demi-god when fighting one on one.

Fay flicked her sword slightly before leaving the dead humanoid tiger there. Her red haired fluttered in the wind as she looked up to the cave opening.

She sheathed her sword before letting out a low sigh. She then fixed a strand of her hair that got loose and disappeared into thin air completely.

Minutes later, General George stormed into the same dungeon to meet the dead demon. He let out a sigh as he instantly had an idea of who could have done this...

"Fay, I hope that this charade is stopped soon." George muttered as he shook his head before leaving the dungeon with a frown on his face.

Fay on the other hand stood on the roof of a building with her blood-red hair swaying slightly to the side. She stared off into the distance as her eyes started glistening.

"I hope you are the one..."
