Chapter 9 - Crush em'

Luke ruthlessly slashed with his sword as a cold glint flashed in his eyes. The white haired elf had long gashes all over his body, it roared in agony as it was unable to grasp the slippery little Luke. Luke suddenly lept into the air at the speed of a bullet before mercilessly swinging his blade down ruthlessly, making a flawless mimic of:

Blood and gore flew everywhere as the sword ruthlessly cut through flesh and bone, splitting the white haired elf in two. Luke roared madly before slashing all over the body with a murderous glow in his eyes.

They took my parents and you're trying to take the only one who really loved me like a father?!

There's only I road!!!

No revivals this time!

After turning the elf into minced meat, Luke rose up his head slightly. Blood was all over his round little face, making his cute appearance turn quite deadly.

"Father are you okay?" Luke asked as he rushed to his father before hugging him tightly while chanting in his head, 'A second chance...'

Martha stood dumbstruck as she watched the dou hug each other. Her red eyes widened as he recounted the recent Luke who was cold and ruthless and tried to piece him with this kind and caring son.

Holy...

The remaining elves of the elven army in the goblin settlement had finally defeated the goblins. They had sustained heavy injuries with some deaths, while a few of them were lost in the battlefield.

[Mission Completed]

[Title Awarded - Unfathomable Prince]

[Advanced Skill - Discord]

[Exp +1000]

Luke looked at the message on the battle log carefully before closing it. He looked up to the army and signalled for a sweep if there are any hidden chests or mines in the area.

[New Mission — Defeat The Human Princess]

[Description: Any moment from now you'll be challenged to a fight with the human princess. The princess has skill and is nearly impossible for a mortal to defeat, but not a god. Defeat her and prove your strength to the heavenly masters.]

[Reward: Celestial Grace]

[Mission Deadline - (none)]

Luke sighed as he looked at the new message that appeared right after the closing of the first with a wry smile on his face. He willed the new screen to close before walking away from his father to the front of a strange goblin structure.

[Storage Tower - Locked]

[Items In Storage(10)]!

[(2) HP Potions]

[(2) MP Potions]

[(2) Skill Technique Cultivation Scrolls]

[(2) Gold Pouch Containing 100 gold coins]

[(1) Basic Demon-god Talisman]

[(1) Demon Dungeon Key]

'I knew something was odd about this settlement!'

Luke grinned as he looked up to the tower with greed in his eyes. He had just stumbled upon a goldmine so why won't he exploit it to his advantage?

He walked up to the and called over his father. He explained to his father about the tower and the treasures locked inside, enticing his father to immediately activated an annoying skill for storage or binding based warriors.

A green key materialised besides Halifax before flying into the keyhole. The weirdly built wooden door knob twisted and turned before finally creaking open revealing lots of loot that made both father and son salivate.

'It must be an inheritance passed on to me through his genes that completely turned into an innate skill called .' Luke thought as he continued to drool at all the treasure.

Not just the things acknowledged by the system to help me get stronger was here, but lots and lots of loot.

Martha who had curiously taken a peek froze on the spot as her eyes wandered all around the room. Her jaw slowly dropped to the ground as her eyes nearly popped out of her skull at the sight.

Amount to over 1000 gold world coins!

Enough money to buy half of a kingdom, how in the gods name did those filthy and worthless low-life being get their hands on such a treasure?!

Luke already had the answer, so he hadn't dropped his guard one bit. He looked up to the tiny sculpture of a two-headed lion placed at the top of a pile of gold.

Three...

Two...

[Talisman angered by your presence...]

[Mind test...]

[ failed!]

[Mind test...]

[ failed!]

Luke looked at all the messages before him with glowing eyes. He took steps forward as he pointed at the talisman with a frown on his face.

"Your weak spells won't work on us." Luke said only to see Martha covering in fear besides him with a strange look in her eyes. He grit his teeth before looking back to the talisman which had already shown it's true form.

It was a gold two headed lion looking as if it was literally sculpted out of gold. It's fur was smooth and shiny while a fierce look was in his eyes as it looked down to Luke with a dark smile that made Luke instinctively turn vigilant.

"So you dare challenge I, the great Byrax!" The voice of the two-headed dragon boomed in Luke's head as it stomped it's massive feet to the ground.

"Could we just kindly take everything and leave?" Luke said while pointing to the heaps of gold and various equipment.

"Not possible! I will make sure not any one of you leave this place alive, I promise." Byrax bellowed with a taunting look in both of his faces.

Luke let out a slight yawn before releasing his monstrous amount of internal energy, causing Byrax to slid back a few yards.

Only one way then...
