"Ahhhh that's it. Yeah a little more to the right, ohhh yeah."
Disgust and annoyance was painfully present in the group of young men who were massaging their lord while he commanded a few of the boys to move some interesting rocks he had found.
"Move em to that corner, oooooh, yeah yeah. Just move it to that corner and be gentle you damn apes."
Shirtless on a table lied a bronze skinned boy that oozed self righteousness and arrogance. His curly black hair and flawless face made for a devastating combination. A very frustrated girl massaged his muscles as the boy made the most awkward of noises.
"Any progress on something suitable for me?"
One of the boys stepped forward as the curtains to the impressive tent were parted.
"Sir, please look at what we've found today."
The boys brought in four creatures.
Looking at the four creatures, Hector waved them over. Turning to one of the boys he whispered in his ear.
"Pssst, why the hell do you guys think I know what these things are. Explain"
The boy being whispered to had an exasperated look as though he could hardly take it anymore.
'Why the hell did I take this job. This damn fruit cake will be the end of me.' Putting on a half ass smile the boy responded.
"Sir the first creature is an Armored Rat. It is known for having a diverse evolutionary path and bolsters great defense."
Taking a glance at the creature, Hector's nose scrunched up. "I can smell the stink radiating from that ugly thing. You know I hate things that smell as equally as I do ugly things. But you, Horse face are an exception, you're so ugly that I can't help but find you cute. "
'Rotten bastard. That rat isn't even that bad..... ok it does stink.'
Face unchanging, horse face went to the next creature. "Sir, next we have a young treeant."
The treeant walked on all four roots and looked like a strong log but with many etches on it. It had two small eyes that were hard to see but they were starting to develop intelligence.
"Not that thing either. It looks clunky and something a plebian would have."
Immediately moving onto the third creature was a small hawk with shimmering yellow feathers.
"This is one of the creatures with the strongest potential up until now. This is the Light bathed Hawk. It is fast with excellent attack and dexterity."
"This sunbathed turkey is for lunch I'm presuming." All of the lackies stilled including the hawk itself.
Depression setting in, horse face unveiled the last creature.
"And our final creature is a mutated rose bug. We only picked it because it has all three of your attributes."
One eye glancing at the little bug, Hector smiled inwardly.
"Urggh is this all you buffoons can find. You'd better remember who my family is."
All of the boys tensed, looking increasingly devastated. Horse face apologized profusely and was about to take all four away.
"Huuuuuuu, leave that last one. It's about time I make a bond. Even if it is subpar." Stress washed out of horse faces body like a tide.
"Thank you lord, I sincerely hope you make your bond. Let the kingdom live on forever."
'Yeah right, good luck with a shitty bond, fucker.'
"Leave me, all of you! How can the bonding process be witnessed by a bunch of ass smelling apes." As the tent cleared, Hector got up and looked at the bug with a big rose growing on it's head.
"They don't know what you really are, but I do. I hope we'll do well with one another."
