I was cradled in Neria's arms as she stepped out of the small cabin, her movements careful yet resolute. The door closed behind us with a soft creak, sealing off the heaviness that hung in the air. Moonlight spilled into the scene, casting a gentle glow on Neria's tear-streaked face and illuminating the world around us.
The cave, concealed behind a majestic waterfall, unfolded before my newborn eyes. The cascading water sparkled and shimmered under the moon's watchful gaze, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadow. The sound of its roaring descent filled my tiny ears, a symphony of nature's raw power and beauty.
As Neria stood at the cave's entrance, the moonlight danced upon the mist that rose from the waterfall, enveloping us in a comforting embrace. I could sense the weight of Neria's sorrow and determination, mingling in the air.
Barefoot, Neria cautiously moved forward, each step sinking into the soft, moss-covered ground. The coolness seeped into my delicate skin, grounding me in the moment. A gentle breeze brushed against my face, carrying with it the fragrance of the earth and blooming flowers, whispering secrets of resilience and hope.
A full blue moon, shining brightly in the night sky, was accompanied by billions of beautiful diamonds scattered throughout the dark sky.
Neria stepped towards the waterfall, her swollen eyes widened a bit as she stared at the moon.
"A blue moon..." She said in a whisper.
The glow of the blue moon gently kissed my cheeks, immediately, I felt a cool energy seeping into my being, my body was then embraced in a cool silver color, I felt the warmth on Neria's body disappear as I suddenly started to levitate in the air.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the moon's divine energy flowing through my veins.
'This feels soo good.' I mused.
Silver markings started to spread across my body, and I could even feel a surge of power coursing through my previously numb limbs, causing them to lengthen.
The light started to turn blue, and I started feeling cold, the pleasant feeling from before disappeared and I started to feel uncomfortable as I felt my bone freezing.
'Argh'
It was painful. The silver markings on my skin flickered, as if reacting to the intense sensation. I opened my eyes, only to find myself engulfed in a swirling vortex of icy blue energy.
Neria's expression twisted with worry as she reached out, trying to steady me.
"Hold on," she urged, her voice filled with both concern and determination.
"We're almost there. Just a little bit longer."
As the blue light continued to surround me, I began feeling the power of nature from the light, I felt my baby senses heightened, my vision cleared. I could hear the roaring rush of water, insect chittering, and the gentle rush of air.
The light started to fade, and the pain subsided, I felt my levitating self, slowing descending down into Neria's arms.
Looking up, I saw a wide smile spread on her face, like a mother proud of her child's accomplishment.
My eyes shifted from her to the clear water fall in front of us, I could feel it's connection to me.
'Water element' I thought, as I watched several orbs of different colored light, each containing an element appeared in front of me.
My eyes fell on the bright red light curiously, which strongly emits the element of fire, it pulsed and flickered, beckoning me closer. As I reached out my tiny hand, the light responded, swirling and dancing in response to my touch.
A bright golden light started to emit from my body again as I started feeling warmer. Again, golden markings appeared on my body before slowly disappearing.
I saw on Neria's face, a complicated expression.
I understood well why she has such an expression.
'A moon elf having the markings that belongs to a light elf' I thought, thinking back, the power I felt from my mother's golden eyes, is not something a moon elf should have, It's more likely that she's mixed and so I'm I.
My eyes shifted from her to the clear waterfall in front of us, its pristine water cascading down with immense force. It was a breathtaking sight, the droplets sparkling like diamonds in the moonlight. The sound of rushing water filled my ears, soothing and invigorating at the same time. With an instinctual urge, I reached out towards the water, and it responded.
The roaring waterfall started split in two, creating a narrow passage between its cascading torrents. The water seemed to recognize the presence of the elements within me, acknowledging our connection in a silent agreement.
Neria's eyes widened in astonishment as she witnessed the phenomenon unfolding before her.
"Ahhh... I kind of understand why her highness wanted you gone child." Neria muttered under her breath.
I met her eyes blinking so innocently. Neria shook her head and started to walk towards the parted waters.
As we approached the parted waters, a cool mist enveloped us, refreshing our spirits. The roar of the waterfall grew louder, echoing the beating of our hearts.
Neria stepped onto the water's surface, instead of her feet sinking, it glowed and rippled beneath her feet. Each step she took was a dance of elegance and confidence, as if she were walking on a path accustomed to her presence.
'Ah, she also has affinity to water.' I mused as we crossed the waters.
Turning around, Neria looked one more time at cave behind the waterfall that is no longer split. Neria then flicks her wrist, the water responded to her command. It began to rise, defying gravity, and encircled us like a shimmering wall.
The water glowed with an ethereal light, casting a soft radiance upon the surrounding area. It swirled and danced around us, forming intricate patterns in the air. The liquid seemed to come alive, moving in perfect synchrony with her presence.
'Teleportation.' I thought.
Gradually, the water settled back into the sea, returning to its natural state. Yet, when the ripples subsided and the glow faded, we were no longer there.
