Chapter 5 - Rescue mission

Ophelia, her voice laced with a cold and systematic tone, issued her orders to Amir, emphasizing the need for stealth and precision to avoid attracting attention and leaving any traces behind.

"Amir, we will proceed with utmost stealth. Equip yourself with SNS Pistol with a surpressor. We will take down the guards together, in perfect synchronization," Ophelia commanded, her words devoid of any warmth or leniency.

Amir is dumbfolded while taking the gun.....He had practiced gunfire due to playing lots of fps games

Amir, acknowledging her instructions, responded, "Understood, Ophelia. I will ensure that we move swiftly and eliminate the guards without raising any alarms."

Ophelia continued, her voice unwavering, "Remember, timing is crucial. We must act simultaneously, striking with precision and ensuring that our actions go unnoticed....Don't think much.....Just aim at them....This sns pistol will take them in one shot without any headshots.."

Amir, listening attentively, mentally prepared himself for the task at hand. He recognized the importance of executing their movements flawlessly, following Ophelia's lead without hesitation.

Ophelia's voice resonated once again, her tone cold and calculated, "Maintain constant communication. We must remain in sync throughout the operation. Any deviation from the plan will not be tolerated."

Amir, aware of the consequences of any misstep, nodded in agreement. He knew that their success relied upon their ability to work together harmoniously, despite the frigid nature of their collaboration.

Amir, fully aware of the impact of their actions, nodded in agreement. He understood that their success relied on their ability to work cohesively, despite the challenging circumstances.

With Ophelia's instructions echoing in his mind, Amir readied his silenced pistol, focusing on the task at hand. The weight of the mission and the ethical considerations pressed upon him. He steeled himself, prepared to move with precision, guided by Ophelia's stealth approach

As they progressed, Amir found himself navigating the delicate balance of adhering to Ophelia's calculated strategy while holding onto his own moral compass. In the encounters with the rival gang members, he focused on neutralizing threats swiftly and efficiently, aiming to protect both himself and Ophelia without unnecessary harm. Through their joint endeavor, Amir held onto the hope that amidst the harsh reality of their actions, there would be room for a deeper connection, understanding, and the potential for growth beyond their current circumstances.

Amir knows what he is doing is morally wrong.....But in the end he has chosen this way of living

Amir and Ophelia cautiously approached the room where Ophelia's brother was being held at gunpoint. The atmosphere was charged with tension, and their focus sharpened as they prepared to rescue him. As they entered the room, Ophelia's brother, a disheveled figure filled with fear, glanced up at them, his eyes pleading for help.

Amir, trying to defuse the situation, he knew that he can't risk shooting him so he spoke calmly yet firmly. "Release him now. There's no need for further violence. We can find a way to resolve this peacefully."

"Peacefully my ass....You killed all my brothers....And you have the nerve to say that crap... " The man said

"Look....What's done is done...Maybe we could have a good conversation....and can have mutal benefits " Amir said

"That's load of c- " Before he could complete it ...

However, Ophelia's patience had worn thin, and without a moment's hesitation, she took the shot, swiftly incapacitating the captor with calculated precision. The room briefly reverberated with the sound of the gunshot, a stark reminder of the swift action that had been taken.

Ophelia's brother, now free from immediate danger, looked at his sister with a mix of gratitude and astonishment. "Ophelia, that was... ruthless. I knew you are cold hearted....But you didn't even care that I might die."

Ophelia's expression remained unflinching, devoid of guilt or remorse. "I did what needed to be done to ensure your safety," she replied, her voice resolute and unwavering.

"Biatch" Ophelia brother said.

Amir, recognizing the tension between them, sought to ease the atmosphere. "We had to act swiftly in this high-stakes situation. Ophelia's ruthlessness is what saved you."

Ophelia's brother, though appreciative of the rescue, couldn't help but express his concerns. "I understand your point, but we must consider the consequences . There has to be a way to achieve our goals without unnecessary bloodshed.....You could have settled it with negotation."

"This is real life.....Christ.....Not some fantansty world....in which we will mingle with power of friendship or some "Ophelia said

As they made their way to safety, the weight of their actions hung in the air. Ophelia's unwavering nature had achieved the desired outcome, but the toll it took on relationships and the potential for collateral damage couldn't be ignored. Ophelia, unswayed by guilt, recognized the validity of her brother's concerns, and though unyielding in her approach, she resolved to seek a balance between her unrelenting resolve and a more measured approach that minimized unnecessary harm.

"I didn't introduce him....Right....Christ this is Amir he is a guy who is someone I seek potential in.....And amir is this is Christoper....My useless excuse of a brother who sits home playing video games all days and fawns over some anime figures.... " Ophelia said with a disgusted expression

Ophelia's brother, Christopher, is a character with a distinct personality and unique interests. Christopher is a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), leading a lifestyle primarily centered around his passion for anime figures.

With disheveled hair and glasses perched on his nose, Christopher often appears lost in his own world, completely absorbed in the world of anime and manga. His room is a testament to his dedication, adorned with shelves filled with meticulously arranged anime figures of various characters from his favorite shows. Each figure holds a special place in his heart, and he takes great pride in his collection.

Christopher's wardrobe mainly consists of graphic T-shirts featuring his favorite anime characters, and he often wears comfortable sweatpants or shorts. He can frequently be seen with a plushie or two, always ready to engage in a discussion about the latest anime releases, voice actors, or upcoming conventions.

Despite his reclusive tendencies and limited social interactions, Christopher possesses a deep knowledge of the anime industry and can engage in passionate conversations about the medium. He has a sharp eye for details and is skilled at spotting rare and limited-edition figures, making him a sought-after source of information among fellow collectors.

"We are taking their car...I am driving...So get on the car boys.... " Ophelia order them

"Man she is treating us like we are children....I mean I have driving licence.....and I know how to drive....But she never lets me.... And by the way call me Christ" Christopher said.

"Man I know that feeling " Amir said.

As Christopher and Amir settled into the car, Christopher couldn't contain his excitement any longer. Turning to Amir, he exclaimed, "Hey, have you been following the latest anime releases? I am talking about the new yakuza series !"

Amir grinned and replied, "Absolutely! I've been keeping up with it too. The animation quality is top-notch, and the storyline is so engaging...And the fights and soundtrack makes it feels worthwhile to watch it"

Their conversation quickly spiraled into a lively discussion about their favorite anime shows and characters. They eagerly shared recommendations, debated the merits of different genres, and exchanged anecdotes from their own anime-watching experiences.

Just as their conversation reached a crescendo of enthusiasm, Ophelia, who had been quietly listening, couldn't resist expressing her distaste. With a slight frown, she interjected, "I don't understand the fascination with those animated shows. They're so exaggerated and unrealistic."

Christopher, momentarily taken aback by Ophelia's interruption, tried to defend their shared passion. "But Ophelia, you have to see the artistry and storytelling behind it. Anime can convey emotions and explore complex themes in unique ways."

Ophelia crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Yeah sounds like a show for children no wonder you are on it. It just seems like a waste of time to me."

Amir, ever the peacemaker, chimed in, "Well, Ophelia, everyone has their own interests, and that's what makes life interesting. While anime might not be your cup of tea, it brings joy and entertainment to millions of people worldwide...So stop labeling anime as a show for children."

Silence settled in the car for a brief moment as Ophelia considered Amir's words. She realized that her disdain for anime shouldn't dismiss the genuine connection and enjoyment it brought to others.

Breaking the silence, Ophelia finally conceded, "You're right. I may not understand it, but if it brings you both happiness, who am I to judge? Whatever makes my boys feel happy... Let's focus on our mission instead....."

With that, the conversation shifted gears, leaving their differing interests behind as they embarked on the task at hand. While their passion for anime remained a point of contention, they found common ground in their shared goals and the camaraderie they had built. And as the car continued its journey, the conversation turned to more pressing matters, leaving their clash of preferences behind, at least for the time being.

Suddenly, Christopher couldn't contain his mischievous grin any longer. He turned to Amir and whispered, "You know, Amir, I've been thinking. What if you tried to court Ophelia? I think there might be a spark between you two."

Amir's eyes widened in surprise, and he stammered, "Court Ophelia? Are you serious? She's so focused and intense all the time.....And besides we spent like one day or something"

Just as Christopher was about to respond, Ophelia, who had been silently listening, spoke up with a stern tone, "courting me? That's utterly preposterous. I have no interest in such trivial matters...Well good luck with that AMIR"

Amir , feeling the weight of Ophelia's disapproval....Feeling embrassed said "I never said I am going to court you....Period"

Christopher interjected, trying to lighten the tension. "Come on, Ophelia, you have to admit there's some chemistry between you two. Love can blossom in unexpected places....And maybe Amir can make you feel things you have never experienced "

Ophelia crossed her arms, her expression unyielding. "Chemistry? Chemistry is irrelevant in our line of work. We need to stay focused on our mission and the tasks at hand. There's no room for distractions or romantic entanglements."

"Maybe romance isn't Ophelia thing.....Christ....We should stop this conversation before it turns ugly " Amir said.

Christopher nodded emphatically, insisting, "Exactly! She's been too focused on her tough exterior for too long. It's time for her to embrace her feminine side, and you can help her do that. Show her what it means to be treated with love and tenderness.....And also make her feel the touch of a man like you.....I will be more than happy if you become my brother in law.....We can always share the wisdom of anime"

Just as Christopher finished his sentence, Ophelia, who had been silently listening, let out an exasperated sigh. "Are you two seriously having this conversation? I am not some project that needs fixing. I am perfectly capable of being strong and feminine at the same time."

"whatever you say sis....And we both know....You have no feminine quality " Christopher finished.

Silence settled in the car as they continued their journey. The atmosphere grew tense, and the topic of romance was quickly abandoned. Each of them retreated into their own thoughts, contemplating the complexities of their situation.

As the car journey continued, Ophelia's frustration began to simmer beneath her usually composed exterior. She couldn't shake off the annoyance that had settled in her mind from Christopher and Amir's conversation. Their attempt to discuss her femininity and courting her felt invasive and patronizing.

Unable to contain her exasperation any longer, Ophelia's voice turned sharp and cold. "I can't believe you two would have such audacity to discuss my personal life and make assumptions about what I need. If it were other people I would have smoked them.....I am letting you off with a final waring"

""Ophelia, we were only trying to help. We thought that perhaps you needed someone to show you a different side of life, to break free from your rigid persona.....Don't worry Amir....She is always like this.....And we all know how I enjoy teasing my sis....You should also try pissing her off.....Maybe make her feel emotions " Christopher said

Amir chimed in, his voice filled with misplaced confidence. "Exactly! We were just thinking about what's best for you, Ophelia. You should be grateful for our concern."

Ophelia's eyes narrowed, her frustration boiling over. "Grateful? I don't need your misguided concern. I am perfectly capable of managing my own life. Your attempts to control or change me are insulting."

The car fell into an uneasy silence, the weight of their words hanging heavy in the air. Ophelia's disappointment in their lack of understanding and remorse was palpable. Ophelia decided to ignored to ignore both of them....And cursed herself for talking with them.
