Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"William Walker, the famed ice magic caster." The words rang in William's ears

"The power to create a hail storm and yet you can't face your past, how pathetic!" the men he once knew now trying to bring him to his knees, for what, Power? Fame?

It doesn't matter anymore now. Kalbe, once a great and trusting friend, now an enemy.

William walked the old and damp street, blood on the ground and burns in an alleyway, there must have been a big fight here, he thought silently. He looked over to a group of cloaked men with a glint in his eye. He followed their gaze to a young kid, as worry washed over him and just as he thought, the group all started to create small arrows of fire.

William ran over to the kid and created a wall of ice to protect the kid then ice shards formed all around the men,

"What the hell!" one of them spat as his gaze shifted and almost immediately he froze with terror in his eyes, the others knew exactly what that power was and stopped charging their magic.

"One wrong move and I'll turn you into a pincushion" William's expression never changed but hate covered his words as his eyes became as cold as the ice he made.

The same fire caster walked up to him and set his hand in a blaze "you really think you can take us all on!" he tried his hardest to sound intimidating but fear was already injected in his words.

William looked up at the much taller man and laughed "awe the dog wants to fight" he spat as icy daggers formed in both his hands, the man backed up ever so slightly and set both his arms in a fire that could be felt from a few feet away, "shut up! You have no chance against us! I'm Tarra the heat demon! I fought twenty of your kind" a shaking interrupted his voice right as an ice spike pressed up against his neck drawing blood.

"You never fought the Frost Walker" a sneer from William caused the men to fall on their knees.

"Y..you are the Frost Walker?.." the man looking up at William, "you are William Walker!?"

William just rolled his eyes and spat back "no I'm the pizza guy, of course I am!" the ice vanished as the group ran off in pure fear, one even ran into the wall

"Your safe kid" William's voice was completely different, the warmth and welcoming voice could put you to sleep.

The much smaller kid then walked out into the light and bowed "Thank you so much!"

William laughed and watched the kid, he looked the same age or a little younger

"No need to bow you know, those guys are sick murderers. I would have done that if you were there or not"

The kids' eyes lit up with amazement, "but they are fire casting legends! They have taken on armys without a scratch on them!"

William looked at the kid with confusion "what casting do you practice?"

the once excited kid shrunk back "I..I practice Shadow casting..my name is Soul..your willam?"

William took a moment to think, a shadow caster? Here? Why would someone practice that here?..it is way too dangerous for this kid-..Soul to be alone here..

"Where is your home?" William questioned

Soul's eyes darkened as he looked around the ally with a little tent

"H-here.."

his voice was weak as he pointed at the small tent as William barely noticed the small structure. William then looked back at the small shadow caster

"Hmm how about you move in with me? It's not the biggest place but it will do"

Soul's bright purple eyes lit up with excitement "R-really!?"

William only smiled and nodded his head as he looked around a bit worried, if anyone was around and heard him, the life of Soul would be in jeopardy, the amount of bounty hunters after him. Soul would for sure die

"here , follow me" William spoke grabbing the shadow caster's hand and practically dragged him to a house on the edge of town and opened the doors

"This is it, my home"

Soul looked around the huge building, it was much bigger than anything he has seen

"Wow this place is huge!" His voice echoed in the large living room as his eyes surveyed the room.

William then looked over to the smaller caster with a look of wonder, he was a shadow caster but all shadow casters were killed..so who taught him. The question rang through Williams head with both worry and amazement. Shadow casters were some of the S rank casters right up there with lightning and ice so Soul could, with proper training, win against anyone in 1 on 1 combat.

"Soul...who taught you shadow casting?" William finally asked as soul looked back at him

"I am self taught" he said proud as can be, the grin on his face grew even more as he ran to a room that seemed to be the kitchen, Soul then ran through the rest of the large house stopping at a locked door, Soul took a moment to examine the door his focus completely taken by this one lock, so much so that he didn't notice William behind him

"I guess i won't have to give you a tour" he smiled

Soul giggled a bit and looked over at the Ice master "what room is this?"

William looked at the door a bit hesitant to say anything, the truth is that it was his dead brother's room, the god of ice as he was commonly called but his real name was Jack, Jack Walker

Jack was the strongest and most respected caster to live. Until he was assassinated…Jack was the symbol of pace at that point in life, when he died all hell broke loose.

The mass murder of Shadow casters, Lightning, and Ice casters.
