It was 8:25pm later that day. The weather was quite frosty and breezy. Jake drove me to my house and he parked his car by the gate.
"You are home now. I promised your dad I will bring you home safe and sound." He smiled at me.
I chuckled softly and he looked into my eyes, "you were amazing. You really impressed me."
"I'm the one really impressed cause because of you, I'm in a musical band. I always knew that I'm a good singer but it did not ever cross my mind to join a band."
"And I'm happy to have you in my life, " he cleared his throat, "I mean the band. We are lucky to have you."
My cheeks blushed.
He sighed, "it's almost nine pm." He glanced at his wristwatch and I wished that the minutes would not go by, that it'll be 7 p.m and we'd still have time to hang together. But it's quite late and even though I want us to chat longer, my dad would be upset that I stayed out so late.
Jake stepped out of his car and he walked towards my door and he pulled it open. I dropped my feet on the ground and walked out of the car and he shut the door.
"Take care." He said and I tried to pull his jacket off me and he said, "you can keep it."
"I can?" I raised my eyebrows and he nodded in reply, "yea. I have several jackets. Besides, it's frosty you might catch a cold and I don't want you to get sick. I still need you. Um, the band needs you."
I chortled, "alright, I will leave now."
He moved closer to me and he leaned in and embraced me. It felt good being in his arms. The fragrance of the gel mixed in his hair streaked to my nostrils.
He slowly moved from my arms, "okay bye."
He walked to his car and I turned to him and waved, "bye."
He entered his car and I stood by the gate staring at his car till it vanished.
I got inside the house and walked immediately to my bedroom. Though I was inhaling the aroma from the dining area which was of Fried fish and chips, I didn't care to approach the room. I still could not erase from my mind that he hugged me.
I reached my bedroom and I stepped inside. I grinned from ear to ear as Jake's words were echoing in my mind, "I'm happy to have you in my life, I mean the band."
I jolted out of my thoughts and laughed excitedly, "Jake is now very fond of me."
I started to recollect when I first set my eyes on him in school and staring at his smooth spotless cheeks, his prominent nose, his pink lips and his alluring hair which flowed to his neck.
I jolted out of my thoughts and I realized that I was still in his jacket. I took it off and I cuddled it and sniffed it. It scented of a strawberry fragrance.
Jake drove to a club after dropping me up. It was quite a huge club. He parked his car in the parking lot. He stepped out of his car and he was hearing beats of music. It was very loud and he felt quite eager to get inside the club.
He walked in through the entrances and he noticed slender full-figured ladies twirling, whirling, switching sides and throwing their hands in the air moving their bodies like an uncoiling rope. Listening to the fast beats, he was feeling the urge to dance, but he seemed quite bothered.
His eyes looked around the room as if searching for someone. He slipped in among the crowd and was looking at everyone's face.
The energetic youngsters tossed out empty bottles on the floor. Few of them were hopping high holding and sipping a bottle of liquor.
Jake felt quite bored and he sighed. He felt a warm and soft hand clenching his arm and he turned to see Leila grinning at him and he grinned at her.
Jake kissed her on her lips and held her waist and pulled her closer to him, "where were you? I have been looking for you."
"Anyways I'm already here. Let's go sit."
Jake nodded, "sure."
She was wearing crimson lipstick, a pair of black leather pants and a red tank top. They approached an empty table beside the window and sat besides each other.
Jake held Leila's hands and looked into her eyes, "you look pretty tonight babe." He ogled at her blouse.
"I always do." She took her hands from his and he asked, "what's wrong?"
Leila furrowed her eyebrows, "it's you and Trina."
"Are you upset by her? Oh come on, you know that I'm only acting."
He sipped his glass of wine.
"I know but you seemed to be overacting. Did you have to over praise her? I couldn't help but get jealous cause she looked so flattered. I'm your one and only girl. Remember that."
"Sure babe. I know that. Until I've gotten what I want from Trina, I will leave her alone. She means nothing to me and I'm lucky that she's into me. That'll make it easier for me to get what I want from her."
Leila sighed, "okay. I'll not meddle."
Jake clasped his glass and smirked, "Trina thinks that I'm doing her a favor but infact she's the one doing me a favor."
"Don't make her fall for you. I don't want to share her with you."
"Why not? If she falls for me? I can carry out my plans easily without any stress."
Leila rolled her eyes and groaned.
