Avoros was on the ground, straining and crawling away from Katherine. His fight had gone on for five minutes and he was absolutely defeated by Katherine shattering his sword and hitting him with a godlike power that he couldn't defend himself against.
He hadn't died, nor was he close to death thanks to his immortality. But all he wanted right now was nothing more than death. His bones were broken and his healing had grown slower. He hadn't fought in centuries; maybe that's why he lost to an elf.
He struggled as he tried to go as far as he could away from Katherine. But she was just watching and enjoying the show of a human mage crawling to his death.
"It is funny, isn't it? Once the strongest human, protector of the human realm, you could have been an immortal god! But you chose to be human, now look. You're losing," Katherine laughed manically and created a lighting attack in her hand.
