Scarlet and the rest were moving through the night. It was the second day and so they had one more day before Leon and Miranda return to notice that they were gone.
Jack hadn't exchanged words with Scarlet ever since the night before when they fought the monster thing. When Alex woke up the next morning she had lost all memory of her fighting the secrin maybe as a result of using so much magic and she was drained so the whole day they had to move slowly for her to cope.
Jack was worried after seeing what Scarlet had become last night. He still couldn't get the image out of his mind the cold look, the red eyes, and that sword that appeared when she was battling. It almost resembled Argus' sword which he had seen in some pictures when he was in the library back at home.
Though most of the contents were very old, frigid, and some so dusty you can't scrape the dust off the pages he knew that sword and if that was the real deal he can't imagine how. But Scarlet had reanimated it somehow and she had refused to talk about it.
Jack was leading the way at the same time also carrying Alex's bag.
And as they were moving, he suddenly felt the ground shake so hard that it was hard for them to keep their balance as everything on the block rumbled along for about ten minutes.
This pulled out the people from their homesteads to the street, all of them chattering out the same questions like what's going on? is it an earthquake?
but they all stopped conversing after seeing a bright red beam of light hit the sky.
"The sky," Scarlet looked at the light as she drooped her bag. She sensed the Chaos call to her the need for help,
"I need to go. He's yelling for me I need to help him."
"Wait-we-need-a-plan..."Jack insisted on it by her holding her arm before she ran off.
"Let me go," she said angrily then burnt his hand a bit, forcing him to let go of it,
He flinched,
"Scarlet, we don't know what's out there seriously it made him call out for help what if it's Hayward what will you do about it?" he tried to explain to her, "I just want to make sure you are safe."
Scarlet thought about it and realized she couldn't win a fight with those elves and Kendall despite her rapidly growing, strength.
"What's your plan?" she sighed.
Jack smiled on hearing that, "Okay, we don't know how many students Hayward may have under his control so I and Alex will fight at full strength," he said,
"Are you up for this?" he turned to Alex who was barely listening as she stared at the red sky.
"Oh... yeah, I have recovered thanks for caring but are you sure full strength?" she returned her focus to the red beam in the sky.
"And for you Scarlet." Jack looked at her, " you rescue Argus. I am not sure about your skill but one thing is for sure we can't let what happened at the church happen again. But if the tables turn do it."
she nodded on understanding what Jack was trying to mean.
"Ummm, guys..." Alex interrupted as she pointed at the sky, "it's back to normal."
And she was right the sky had just gone back to normal abruptly
"Then we must hurry,"
"Alex, Can you jump us there?" Scarlet asked
Alex nodded,"
They all held hands and vanished into mid-air.

.
.
Scarlet was on laying the ground, hearing the faint explosions in the background she couldn't feel her body move, and everything she was seeing seemed to be blurry with only bright sparks trying to make way to her vision.
What was going on?
she remembered they had jumped into a building and that was the last thing she remembered.
"Scarlet...Scarlet..."
she heard the faint voices calling to her name meaning the fight had already started but then to her eyes the space was changing as a woman formed herself from it she was dressed in full red and was the same woman Argus was with the time they met within the dreams.
Scarlet couldn't move but was struggling to escape the woman who was approaching her.
"You're...the one who controlled my body," she remembered,
"My child, I didn't take over your body I simply lent you my power and your rage took over. A beautiful display of chaos."
"Says the thing that tried to kill me?" Scarlet reminded Chaos of what she had tried to do at the library but didn't seem bothered at all.
She then caressed Scarlet by cheek, "Right now it has been three minutes ever since you jumped here with your friends, unfortunately, there was a spell that drains a person's energy and it was a trap. long story short your friends broke out, you have failed and now they are fighting Hayward's minions," she said, "either you let them die or-"
"I accept your power and help them." Scarlet completed.
"Yes." Chaos smiled, "you're a smart one reminds me of a son..." she stopped then stared again at Scarlet.
"Do you accept my power?"
Scalet took a deep breath and said, "I do."
she then opened her eyes and the first thing that shocked her was Jordan battling with Jack.
" Jordan!" she mumbled in shock. they were fighting at unrecognizable speeds. with only their swords producing specks of fire each time they collided and that's when she could see them.
She stood on her feet and finally saw Alex who was battling Kendall.
" Finally sleeping beauty you're Awake," said Alex as she tossed blades at her target who was Kendall.
"How long has it been?" she asked Alex while glancing around for Argus but couldn't see him.
"Well, three minutes to be exact. you passed out and we found out it was a trap." she then pointed at the stairs,
"Argus is up there with Hayward and his elves be careful. I believe you are strong enough and if you are not then rest in peace."
She then turned back the fight as she acted as a shield for Scarlet who now heading upstairs to go help, Argus.
