Scarlet opened her eyes to the sight of fresh blood that had covered the entire place after the spider had hit their car off the road. She was hanging upside down thanks to her seatbelt, but Argus had fallen out during the incident, she reached for the retractor that was holding her seatbelt and pushed it open falling hard onto the broken glass that had shattered from the windows. It appeared the car had been flipped into a store, she couldn't see Dr. Lin or the driver, maybe they had also fallen out of the car during the accident. She moved on her fours and punched the metallic door off the car as she crawled out.
She couldn't see clearly and she had acquired a heavy head injury that was already bleeding out. She looked around for Argus but she still couldn't see. She wanted to shout out and call, but what if the spider was still around so she stood up and tried to use her magic to find them, she waved her hands but the spell glitched before she could even reach halfway.
"Dang, it!" she yelled, looking at her shaking hands, was she terrified of death, or was it the fact that pieces of glass had penetrated through her hands and were now inflicting so much pain on her. She was hating this so much Alex and Jack weren't here to help her out, she couldn't see, her head hurt along with the rest of her body, it felt like all these problems were piling up on her shoulders, and she had not a single idea how to solve any of them. She started to silently cry as she pressed her back against the wall. Maybe she wasn't worthy of Chaos' power. She then received another memory that wasn't for Agatha but belonged to Argus himself. It looked like he was standing in the rain holding a little girl's hand, she was holding a pink umbrella and looked like they were in modern times. She had a head sock covering her head a pink jacket on her body,
"Hey Scarlet," he called the girl.
"Yes, Argus…" the girl replied with so much excitement
"What do think about this world?" He asked
"I think it's pretty." the girl looked up to him with a cute smile on her face and through his eyes, she saw that he was talking to her younger self. "That's why we must protect it."
"To stay pretty?"
Argus laughed, "Yes, so that it stays pretty." he tapped her head and she smiled with so much joy, she had very red beautiful eyes and you could see the small red hairs that were showing through the head sock. "You have to be strong, even without us," he said while warming her hands.
"Scarlet…" she heard her mother's voice call in the rain. And the memory faded away, returning her to reality.
She looked around wondering why the power had shown her that reminding her of how much she missed her mother's voice, what was that? She asked herself as her vision finally returned and she could now see that they crashed into the retail supermarket. Scarlet couldn't see the spider anywhere, nor could she see Dr. Lin nor Argus.
"Dr. Lin…" she yelled, trying to drag herself up, and maybe stand outside and yelp with the hope they could hear but she was too weak to move any further than this. She relaxed and dragged herself to the restrooms to fresh herself up. As she walked, she picked up a few supplies from the racks like medicine, alcohol, and bandages for her open wounds and some not so expired chocolate bars for food. She walked in then shut the door and locked herself in.
She moved to the taps and poured water over her head and on her face washing off most of the blood that had dried up on her. She picked up the bottle of alcohol popped it open and poured the liquid on her injured hands. She shed tears from the burning sensation that was being caused by the alcohol, but she couldn't stop because she had to disinfect the wounds, this was something she had picked up during her time with the girl scouts when she was younger. When she was done, she undid the bandage roll and tied some of it on her hands. After all that she sat down on the floor and started to eat her chocolate bars, this did not disgust her mainly because she was already eating something that may have been a year expired. She saw blood flow from her left leg but she didn't want to see how severe it was because it would only worry her more.
Time passed in the restroom as thoughts started to cloud up her mind, she felt dizzy from the spoiled chocolate she had eaten and the huge amount of blood she had lost while sitting on the floor doing nothing about it. She was thinking about her mom and why Argus the Chaos lord of the past with her in modern times and why couldn't she remember all this. Her head finally felt heavy and she went swinging for the floor and was knocked out once she hit it.
"Scarlet….." she heard knocking on the restroom door, "Scarlet are you in there? it's Dr. Lin, sorry for the long wait we had to take Argus to the city we incurred some heavy damage so the military came to our rescue." She said from the other side as she knocked louder. After hearing no response from Scarlet, Dr. Lin knocked down the door with soldiers behind her, "Oh my god! Get the paramedics here and fast," she was shocked by what she saw, the floor was stained with a pool of blood that was flowing from Scarlet who was now unconscious laying on the floor. They put her on a stretcher and marched out of the store and into a van that was being led by Dr. Lin, "We need to save their lives. That is the least we can do as appreciation for taking on the risk to save our lives." She ordered the paramedics as they set Scarlet on life support, Dr. Lin couldn't believe that these kids had managed to stop a threat they had been battling for a long time in just one night. All the spiders had spontaneously just burned to ashes, leaving not a single one alive.

Alex and Jack arrived in a van outside the entrance to the underground city. They followed the soldiers who had picked them up from the city as they led the way to the main gate. They had been driven to the desert where the gate was said to be according to the coordinates Dr. Lin had sent out to the troops across the area. It was very windy so they couldn't keep their eyes open due to the sand that kept on blowing over them. They walked through the storm for a while till they stopped after reaching a huge Golden Gate that was in the middle of the desert. It was so long that they couldn't even see the top. The soldiers then touched the gate and a small opening showed up revealing what was on the other side.
Alex peeped and saw that the other side looked nothing like the desert they were in, "What the…" she pushed in her face confused by what she saw.
"Space warping technology." Jack was excited, "It enabled them to create a gate to an underground location marvelous." he explained while the soldiers searched them for any weapons and cleared them for entry.
By the way weren't they supposed to find the blade? Jack reminded her as they crossed the gate, "The blade always returns to its owner after a day or two." Alex said as they continued through the portal and onto what looked like an underground cliff. Down was a huge city with thousands of lights looking like tiny stars, Jack and Alex had never seen anything like this, above them was a gigantic green glowing crystal that looked like it was supplying energy and life to this place.
"That's…."
"Another form of ancient magic, celestial magic. Are you familiar with it? " Dr. Lin interrupted the twins from behind.
They both turned, "How did you get your hands on something like this?" Alex asked. "You need to first explain to me who the hell are you people or else my men will shoot." Alex looked down at her shirt and noticed the red dots that were aiming at her heart and it was the same for Jack.
