"Have you seen a monster before?"
"Yes I did, I was an Adventurer."
Currently, I was being taught in the Magic Beasts And How To Tame Them subject. Apparently, there was such a subject there at school where we identify monsters and attempt to befriend them with our capabilities. I find it a very interesting subject.
"I also have a pet right now."
I added while forking out One from her home.
"Is that so?"
I always tell One to stay inside my small bag so I only grabbed her from there and showed the squirrel to Lista-san. After that came a thorough inspection, she was looking at it from different sides and carefully observed One's eyes.
"It's completely tamed. How very talented you are in monster-human bond, Seven."
"By the way, can you tell me about it's species?"
"A Recon Sedar. It's abilities are widely known for their splendid hiding skills, they are good military weapons to be used in gathering intel. As we could attach magic devices to them that record either images or audio."
Only one of the two recording techs, huh. I guess this world isn't as advanced as I had thought it was. There's still no possibility that phones can be made yet.
Her eye glasses glinted amusingly once again. At that moment, I heard a feminine voice behind me which made me look from behind by my shoulders.
"Grandmother, are you tutoring someone again?"
It was that girl called Minerva again. Blonde hair and blue eyes, moreover, she smells so nice. It's like she just took a bath.
"Minerva, this is Seven Clavery. She will be your colleague in the Magic Academy this year."
"Nice to meet you, Seven. I am Minerva Stonegale. A Wind-Water mage."
A dual specialist? This is the first I've heard of it. In any case, I should introduce myself as well.
"Seven Clavery, Unattributed Mage."
I stood up and offered her my hand to shake. But both grandmother and her looked puzzled.
"Unattributed? Is that a way to say you can't use magic?" She inquired.
"No, this is Unattributed Magic."
I casted a magic sword in thin air and grabbed it's hilt to show to Minerva and Lista-san.
"Eh? Isn't this Light Magic? But it seems kinda solid..."
"No granddaughter, this is indeed unattributed. A light magic spell would be much brighter than this and it's brightness is always almost blinding to the eyes."
They both tried touching it and were convinced it was indeed unattributed. Afterall, I never used the magic array to convert it to any element. In fact, I took it out. I wanted a magic spell that didn't have disadvantages and advantages so a neutral element might have been the best.
"Who taught you this, Seven?"
Minerva asked me while holding her chin wonderingly. I find her so cute right now.
"I actually made this myself by tampering with an Ice Spear Spell by accident."
That's right, while I was trying to learn a magic spell before the battle with Garek, I somehow messed up and forgot to add a few syllables in the magic formula and because of that, it turned into Unattributed Magic. As I didn't like spears either, I modified the formula once again and made them into swords. Although I can still make the Magic Spears just in case I need more penetrative power or long ranged attacks.
"So you're just like me. Watch this!"
Minerva said while holding out her left hand like she was carrying a delicate ball.
"Minerva, don't use that spell here!"
But it was too late for Lista-san's warning. A sphere of water, violently turning from the pressure of winds were summoned. It was like a mini version of a typhoon which gave me the shivers. Afterall, this is a library!
"Put that out right now before it gets the books wet!" Her grandmother ordered in panic.
"Don't worry, I won't let such a mistake happen."
Minerva said smugly, but contrary to her words, a droplet of water flew out from the typhoon sphere.
We watched it as if in slow motion, until it dropped to one of my opened book's pages.
Both grandmother and granddaughter looked stupefied.
"M-M-Minerva..!"
"Eek!"
Like a madwoman, Lista-san glared at Minerva with so much killing intent that her granddaughter ran away in a dash.
"Sheesh, that brat."
"She's really cute."
Oops, I said it by impulse. I didn't mean to, it just came out of my mouth!
"Is she? If you marry her I could get rid of her. Ohohoho!"
Lista-san laughed jokingly. By this time, Minerva must be managing the customers again. Also, I wonder if that joke wasn't an actual joke.
▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️
Time flew by, it was already late in the afternoon at around 4 o' clock. And I simply waited for my companions to come pick me up, I was alone by now considering Lista-san took a rest. Teaching me for hours must have tired her out.
Owh, they just about arrived. But it was only Aria who came, Arlet and Alric are nowhere to be seen. Aria rushed to me immediately and started throwing questions.
"Seven, are you done? How do you feel? Are you hungry in any way? Did you learn anything?"
"I learned lots, I can even do some simple livelihood magic now. More importantly... I'm a bit hungry."
I lied, I just feel like eating.
Aria hugged me for no reason at all and after saying my farewells to Minerva and Lista-san, I left the Library. It took a few minutes of walking but we arrived to the manor Arlet talked about. Within this large space of land was a mansion not losing to the size of Arlet's home back in Libra Kingdom.
The gate guards allowed us entry the moment they saw Aria and afterwards, she escorted me to a room at the third floor of the mansion. My assumption was that this was a bedroom, so when Aria opened the door, it was just your typical rich lady's room.
But there was something peculiar about this scene...
Why are Arlet and Alric playing Minecraft together?!
More importantly...
Where did those PC come from?!
I feasted my eyes on two childhood friends playing Minecraft together, building a dirt house in Survival Mode. Yup completely normal— NOT! THIS IS ANOTHER WORLD!
Being notified by the door of our arrival, Alric and Arlet turned around and greeted us.
"Aria, Seven! Let's play Minecraft!"
Said Arlet.
It really is Minecraft! How did that get in this world? Hold on, isn't it strange that Arlet and Alric already knows of yuri? How? I'm not the only reincarnator, am I? That's plausible, I can't be so special that I would be the only one, right?
"You guys don't know how, right? I can teach you."
Alric said with a bright smile, and in front of him appeared two sets of computers which he lifted and placed on a table besides his and Arlet's. Additionally, it's a complete set with a pretty fancy design resembling those gamer sets back in my world!
"S-Sure, I'll play! I will be in your care!"
Apparently, Aria looks interested. She walked over to Alric and sat beside him while I sat next to Arlet. I don't have to worry about this Alric fellow anymore, since he likes yuri, I don't think he'll try anything that disrupts the relationship between me and my girlfriends.
Just like that, Alric went on with teaching Aria from the basics, he started with opening the computer up to the controls in Minecraft. He didn't pull any dirty tricks.
I stared at my gaming setup and pressed the start up button on the system unit. Arlet saw this and got fascinated real quick.
"Seven, you know how to use a computer?"
"Yes."
"Oh? How strange..."
Seriously, how did Alric even get a hold of these otherworldly things?
The screen wallpaper was the image of a blonde haired guy wielding a bright glowing sword standing on top of a dragon's head. It greatly reminded me of those heroes in light novels.
I double clicked the Minecraft icon I saw which was among many other games from Earth...
Hold on a minute... Is this thing... Connected to my previous world? No way, right? But there's even League Of Legends and other online games you can't play without other players. Maybe... This Alric guy, he's from another world, is he? Moreover, he must be one of those OP main characters.
I will ask him that later.
This isn't the right time.
For now I should focus on the game, because it's been an entire month since I used a computer. I never thought I would get the chance to use one ever again now that I'm in this fantasy world. I'm quite excited.
I joined the server that Alric created, it looked to me that our skins were already planned out. Aria and Arlet looked the same as they usually do in person. Ofcourse it's pixelated and less detailed though, but Aria and Arlet are still cute, I can guess my skin looks the same as me too. The only difference I noticed was that Alric's skin didn't look like him, it had golden hair and blue eyes that didn't look like him in person and his name was 'Yukio' instead of 'Alric'.
Alric was currently digging up the surrounding dirt and supplying them to Arlet so she could construct a dirt house.
Regardless, I am a professional. I can't lose to these other-worlders on something that I'm good at!
"Aria, where are you going!?"
"Getting wood. Alric told me to get wood."
The only one I could follow was Aria and I joined her in breaking some wood with our bare hands.
"How many should we get, Alric-sama?" Aria asked.
"You can get as much as you want. But if a tree sapling drops from a tree, go plant it where you chopped it's parent so we don't end up shaving the whole forest."
"Understood."
After I had chopped a small oak tree, I crafted a crafting table then crafted a wooden pickaxe. I dug down with my barehands in a staircase style until I reached the stones and began mining the stones using the wooden pickaxe. After obtaining enough cobblestone, I crafted a stone axe and approached Aria who was still mowing down the trees with her bare hands.
"Hey Aria, use this."
I dropped the stone axe near Aria and her character automatically picked it up before it moved it's head to my direction.
"What's this?"
She asked curiously after switching to the stone axe in her toolbar.
"If you hold that while chopping on the trees, the wood will break faster."
"Oh I get it. No wonder it looks like an axe."
Aria began chopping the trees down at a fast pace. Meanwhile, Alric looked at me bewildered.
"Seven, how do you know about Minecraft?"
"Same question, how is there Minecraft and computers in this world?"
When I said this, Aria and Arlet looked at me weirdly while Alric had a doubtful expression.
"Hmm... I believe we should talk about this matter in private. We can't let them know."
"Yes."
"?"
"?"
We spent the last two days playing games in Alric's computers. We didn't talk about otherworldly business for a while because I felt like it isn't time yet. But surely enough he also knew that I came from Earth.
It was the day of the entrance exam. The four of us gathered at the school's courtyard waiting for an announcement from the school grandmaster.
Thousands of students besides us were also present. They all looked pretty young and none were older than 23 years old. Although the most eye-catching thing for me are the beautiful girls here which reminded me of college. Some students were also accompanied by magic beasts just like One so I had her relax on my shoulders for the time being to blend in.
From the main building's entrance, smoke of different colors suddenly erupted and bursted like fireworks, then from them emerged dozens of mages wearing colored mage robes in accordance to their rank. They were most likely the teachers, and at the center-front wearing a white robe was a bearded old man with sparkling star-shaped glasses. He must be the grandmaster.
"Welcome students! We honor you today the event all of you will partake in the test to enter this prestigious school. Although many of you are already quite adept in magic, surely some of you have hit a block right in your journey. For that, we will aid you in your improvement with delicate and most nourishing ways of teaching."
The Grandmaster gripped his staff and pointed it to the heavens. And with a red spark, a south-eastern dragon made of red colored mana was summoned and it soared to the skies like a flying snake.
"Now then, let the entrance exams... Begin!"
