Xue Tian told Wen Xiang that there were three bedrooms in the house, and the two rooms were occupied by him and his sister. Now there was only one vacant room, and Wen Xiang would live in that room starting from today.
The owner of the house opened the door to the room, and the guest entered the room with slight hesitation. When he brought his head to scan his surroundings, he could see that the room was no different than other rooms in the house. The room also gave off the traditional vibe with the furniture.
There was a bed, a closet, and also a desk in the room. He didn't need to worry about the air circulation because there was a window in the room. The room was not big, but it didn't look cramped either. Even if it wasn't comparable to his room in his apartment, he could tell that the room was pretty cozy.
"I have to tell you that there's only one bathroom in this house, and the location of the bathroom is right in front of my room. That's why I warned my sister to stop running around naked in this house. She usually didn't bring any clothes when she was showering."
Wen Xiang indeed didn't see any door inside the room, and he knew right away that there was no bathroom in the room.
"It's okay. I also won't run around naked in the house, so you don't have to worry," Wen Xiang replied in a flat tone.
Wen Xiang was serious, but what he just said sounded like a joke in Xue Tian's ears.
"I didn't expect that you would be able to joke around like that," the pinkette commented.
Wen Xiang glared at him in response. "I wasn't joking," he said.
Xue Tian just chuckled and didn't comment anymore. His pair of blue eyes followed the other man's every movement, and he could see the man walking over to the bed. The man put down the backpack on the bed before bringing his hand to touch the thin object that surrounded the bed.
"What is it?"
Xue Tian could hear Wen Xiang's question, and he brought his legs to approach the taller man.
"That thing is called mosquito net. Indonesia is a tropical country, and there will be lots of mosquitos during the rainy season. I installed it in every bed in this house so that we can sleep peacefully."
The pinkette's explanation was quite clear, and Wen Xiang brought his eyes to study the net. It was indeed just a net that would prevent mosquitos from disturbing people's rest.
The bed frame was a traditional frame made of wood, and there were four poles made of wood in the four corners of the bed. The mosquito net was attached to the poles, and it ended up shielding the person from mosquitos' attacks.
"I have to warn you that the bed might not be as soft as your usual bed because it is made of kapok fiber. I prefer using classic furniture, and that's why I chose that kind of bed."
Another explanation from Xue Tian, and Wen Xiang decided to give the bed a try. He moved his backpack a little and sat down on the edge of the bed. The bed was indeed firmer than his old bed, and when he tried to bounce it, it didn't even bounce as he expected.
Wen Xiang ended up furrowing his brows, and the sight made Xue Tian chuckle. "The bed is indeed not bouncy," he explained again. "If you don't like it, maybe we can buy a modern bed so that you can sleep comfortably at night."
Xue Tian's statement stunned Wen Xiang, and the latter looked up at the former who was standing beside his bed. It was only their first day of the meeting, but Xue Tian was treating him nicely from the start.
Wen Xiang indeed had helped Xue Tian to get his wallet back, but that was nothing compared to the way Xue Tian treated him today. Wen Xiang was not someone who would easily trust people, and he was still on guard even if Xue Tian treated him nicely.
"It's okay. I'm sure I can sleep comfortably on this bed," Wen Xiang finally replied as he darted his gaze away from the owner of the house.
They were just strangers, and he had to make it clear in front of the pinkette.
"I see," the pinkette replied with a smile. "Then, I will leave you alone so you can have some rest. If you don't mind, I will take you to some places tomorrow."
Wen Xiang turned to Xue Tian again and nodded his head. "Sure. If you don't mind, maybe you can help me find a job in this city."
Wen Xiang suddenly sounded like he needed help from Xue Tian, and the latter looked a little surprised by that fact. "You need a job in this city? But I thought you're only on your holiday here?"
Right. Wen Xiang didn't tell Xue Tian anything about his life, and it was normal if the pinkette was surprised now.
"I'm not here on holiday, but you don't need to worry. I won't stay here for long, and I will move out after I get a job here."
Wen Xiang had assured the pinkette, but the pinkette ended up frowning at him. Wen Xiang couldn't guess what was on the man's mind, and he could only wait for a verbal response from the man.
However, the next thing he heard from the man was a heavy sigh. "Alright, I will help you to find a job tomorrow, and I won't question you about your private life. I will leave you alone now."
