"Little darling, are you wearing too much?" Josh Levs noticed Audrey had a slight sweat on her forehead when he was holding her and asked.
"I'm a bit hot," Audrey answered.
Josh touched the back of her neck and found it sweaty indeed. He immediately ordered a servant to fetch a dry towel, stuffed it behind Audrey, and helped her remove her cloak. "Your dad is so careless! He didn't even think to help you take off a layer when you came in!"
"Mr. Levs, you seem more like a Mom," Audrey's eyes narrowed into slits as she grinned.
Did the little one mean he knew how to take care of people?
Josh's heart softened, and he kissed her. However, he heard Audrey say, "I think you're more like a girlfriend! How did you become a boyfriend?"
Audrey's words were incomprehensible to others, but Josh understood. Annoyed, he turned her over and pressed her down on his lap. He slapped her three times and said, "Let me state it again. Me being your Mr. Jarvis's boyfriend was a joke-a joke! Got it?"
