Guardians Of The Galaxy
The Guardians of the Galaxy are a band of intergalactic outlaws who teamed together to protect the galaxy from planetary threats. In 2014, they managed to save the planet of Xandar from Ronan the Accuser and have been recognized under the Nova Empire. Several months later, they defeated the Abilisk, attracted the unwelcome attentions of Ayesha and her Sovereign fleet, and defeated Ego. Four years after that, the Guardians joined forces with the Avengers to stop Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones. However, Gamora was kidnapped by Thanos who later sacrificed her for the Soul Stone. Despite their best efforts to stop Thanos, they were defeated on Titan. Thanos then arrived on Wakanda and defeated Groot and Rocket Raccoon as well as their allies effortlessly and completed the Infinity Gauntlet, using it to murder half the universe's population.
Task Force X
Task Force X, colloquially known as the Suicide Squad, is a government-sanctioned expendable black-ops unit founded by Amanda Waller that enlists incarcerated supervillains to undertake high-risk, covert missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences. Normally, the team is only used when all the more conventional methods fail. The team's first mission was to prevent the interdimensional Enchantress and her brother Incubus from destroying Midway City, a task they succeeded in despite suffering some losses. Afterwards, their sentences were lessened and they were given special privileges in return for their efforts. The team was later reformed by Waller with many new members joining the ranks on a mission to a Nazi Base in Corto Maltese, along with some returning members.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (Infinity War)
Star-Lord: Due to his heritage, he is part Celestial and part human, giving him superhuman abilities. Even while not having awakened his celestial power, Quill had enough power to briefly survive while holding the Power Stone on his own and after awakening his full power, was able to challenge his father, a true Celestial, who had easily subdued the other Guardians.
Although he seems to have lost his cosmic powers after Ego died, Quill retained his superhuman physical powers. Due to his paternal heritage from Ego, Quill holds considerable amounts of supernatural durability and endurance to the point that he even was able to physically withstand the exposure to the energy from an Infinity Stone.
After holding the Power Stone in his bare hands, Quill sustained severe burns and scars all over his body. Thanks to his latent Celestial powers, he was able to heal all his injuries with no trace of scar tissue in the remaining time before his meeting with the Nova Corps mere days later.
Gamora: As a Zehoberei, Gamora naturally possesses physical capabilities beyond any human being, which were further augmented by Thanos' use of bionic and cybernetic enhancements to improve her skills as an assassin. Due to her Zehoberei heritage and bionic enhancements, Gamora is stronger than humans and many other species, allowing her to overpower a majority of her opponents in combat.
She possesses a cybernetic skeleton and has demonstrated her strength by being able to effortlessly lift Mantis by her neck with one hand and pin her to a wall, break Groot's vine binding with nothing but her strength, as well as holding up the discarded cannon of a crashed M-Ship piloted by Nebula, which was far larger than her, before using it to fire on the ship.
Gamora's bionic upgrades and the advanced physiology of her species allow her to be more resistant to physical harm. Gamora was able to survive, or at least briefly endure, various afflictions that would prove fatal to a normal human being, such as severe electrocution, deep-space exposure, or blunt force trauma.
Drax: As a Kylosian, Drax possesses superhuman attributes, such as his strength and impact-resistant skin. Despite his towering height and broad frame, he is very athletic. Drax has much more physical prowess than most species, being able to lift the bulk weight, break through stone and metal with ease, and rip machines in half with his bare hands.
Using his brute strength alone, ripped off pieces of Groot, and pulled out Korath's cybernetic implant from his head. Drax has proven to be a brutal, yet accomplished combatant, able to overpower multiple opponents, including several Kyln guards and Sakaaran warriors with little effort. Drax was also capable of fighting equally with the highly trained and cybernetically enhanced Kree Korath the Pursuer, eventually managing to kill him.
Groot: Groot is a Flora colossus, an ancient race of tree-like humanoid beings, with superhuman abilities. Groot is capable of great feats of strength, from breaking sturdy metal items to fighting other strong opponents and lifting and flailing around ten armored warriors with comparative ease. The skin of Groot is composed entirely of a dense and durable wood, thus allowing him to easily sustain large amounts of damage from firearms, melee weapons and explosions.
Groot has the ability to change his physical form, and shape his body in various ways. He can also manipulate his body to form organic constructs that he uses as tools or weapons. Groot's biology is made up entirely of plant-like tissues, granting him highly developed regenerative abilities. He can regrow lost limbs in a few hours.
In combat, Groot's advanced regeneration gives him the ability to survive almost any attack. His body can immediately heal sustained damage, which, in combination with his rapid growth, makes him extremely difficult to kill.
Rocket: Rocket, as a Halfworlder, is a cybernetically engineered creature. His enhancements include a cybernetic skeletal structure, enhanced phalange, and metacarpal bones, and a genetically augmented cerebral cortex.
He can walk and talk like a humanoid creature while remaining (what appears to be) a raccoon. Rocket's cerebral cortex was genetically enhanced meaning that unlike other members of his species he has a cognitive and intellectual equivalent or superior ability to the most sensitive species in the galaxy.
He can talk and communicate with other species, as well as perform extremely complex tasks. Due to his cybernetic implants, such as a cybernetic skeletal structure, Rocket is capable of surviving damage that would normally be sufficient to kill an animal of his size, as well as injure a normal sized human.
Rocket has a great skill in handling various weapons throughout the Galaxy, with the preference of high-powered artillery. Rocket is a brilliant strategist. He is able to formulate strategies of advanced combat and escape, even with minimal resources, and to change them according to the needs of the situation.
Nebula: Nebula possesses natural higher physical capabilities beyond any human being, which are further enhanced by her physiological enhancements. Nebula has higher levels of superhuman strength, much greater than that of a human being. Nebula is a highly skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, having trained extensively as an assassin under Thanos ever since she was a child as well as years of fighting experience when carrying out Thanos' missions. Nebula's skill in combat allowed her to compete with "the deadliest woman in the galaxy," Gamora, for a prolonged amount of time and even managed to defeat her when both were wounded after escaping an explosion. Nebula can easily withstand multiple injuries, especially impact trauma, such as falls from great heights. While her body was contorted by being blasted with Drax the Destroyer's cannon at point blank range, she was otherwise unharmed and her cybernetic implants twisted her body back into place.
Mantis: Mantis can sense and experience a person's emotions and feelings through mere touch, making her antennas light-up. She was able to feel that Star-Lord was attracted to Gamora just by touching his hand. In addition, she can also experience a person's feelings rather than simply sensing them, allowing her to feel the grief and sadness of Drax, which caused her to weep, even while he remained emotionless on the outside. Mantis can also do this at a small distance to some degree. Mantis is also able to manipulate emotions to some degree using her touch. For example, she can make a sad person happy, or calm down an angry one. She was able to cause Gamora to become scared when attacking her. She has even shown herself to be able to make people more docile, to the point of unconsciousness.
TASK FORCE X (The Suicide Squad)
Bloodsport: As a military veteran and assassin, DuBois has impeccable aim and has been described by Amanda Waller as a "world-class marksman." He managed to shoot Superman (who can travel faster than sound) with a Kryptonite bullet. As he admitted to Peacemaker, he always hits his targets dead center, and he proved his superior aim when he shot through Peacemaker's bullet projected at him, sending his own bullet through the latter's gun and into his neck.
Given the astounding feat, he may rival Deadshot in accuracy. DuBois was raised learning how to kill. As such, he can turn any object into a deadly weapon, such as when he threatened Amanda Waller by holding a pen to her neck.
Harley Quinn: Harley Quinn, as a highly skilled and experienced supervillain and gymnast, is in top physical condition (from frequent villainous escapades with her ex-boyfriend the Joker) for a woman her age, to the point that she could hold her own against the formidable Eyes of the Adversary troops of Enchantress.
She is muscular and fit, but notably far weaker than her nemesis Batman, who subdued her without much effort. Regardless, she is still in great physical condition and Mateo Suarez even referred to her as a soldier. Harley Quinn is a highly skilled and formidable armed and hand-to-hand combatant.
Although she has no formal training in hand-to-hand combat, it could be due to her years of fighting by Joker's side. When in a fight, Harley uses her acrobatic skills to best her opponents.
Peacemaker: Peacemaker has achieved peak physical condition in his mission for global peace. Peacemaker is visibly very strong for a human; he is huge and hulking with "muscles on his muscles". Peacemaker is a world-class marksman, like Bloodsport. He has trained his whole life to bring peace to the world, and he knows how to use and properly aim his pistol as well as accurately fire his blowgun from a distance.
In Corto Maltese, he shot a man behind him over his shoulder without even looking at him. Due his rigorous training from birth by his father, Auggie Smith, his experience as a violent vigilante, combined with his powerful physique and stamina, Peacemaker is a phenomenally well-seasoned hand-to-hand combatant.
Rick Flag: Flag was in top physical condition, though not even near to Batman's level. Hence, it took an entire group of Eyes of the Adversary to overpower Flag, though he was still swiftly overpowered by the mighty Enchantress. Flag was also a skilled athlete, as he golfed with a three handicap. Flag is highly skilled in armed and unarmed combat (though not quite on par with Batman, Enchantress and Katana).
He was able to take down several Eyes of the Adversary, and even momentarily able to hold his own against Enchantress herself (notably blocking her dagger slashes several times), though he was ultimately brought down by her. He also fought and ultimately overpowered Peacemaker. As a US Armed Forces colonel, Flag is an extremely skilled and experienced leader, with Amanda Waller even referring to him as "the finest special forces officer that [the USA] has ever produced". He was able to successfully lead the Suicide Squad in their first mission to extract Waller from Midway City, and then later lead them against Enchantress and Incubus.
Ratcatcher 2: Cleo was intelligent enough to better the technology made by her father by controlling rats on a large scale to defeat Starro. She was also the one to realize that Starro's spawns could be countered by shielding the face, which was instrumental in allowing the Suicide Squad to survive when others were being controlled.
Cleo uses a Rat Communicator, an advanced technology device created by Ratcatcher to easily tame and train rats. Cleo inherited the device after her father's death, and used it in her crimes and on the mission to Corto Maltese. Cleo can easily tame and train rats with the rat communicator to do tasks for her.
Polka Dot Man: As a result of being exposed to an interdimensional virus by his mother, Krill developed a condition that causes him to grow multi-colored polka-dots and glowing pustules on his body over time. With the help of his gauntlets, Krill can project the multi-colored dots as destructive projectiles from his hands.
Krill's polka-dots were incendiary in nature, being able to disintegrate anything they come in contact with. The Polka Dots were shown to be destructive enough to quickly melt down Starro's skin when Bloodsport's weapons and King Shark's bites only mildly injured it before.
King Shark: Nanaue is an amphibious, shark-like metahuman. He has the physical attributes of a human, such as speech and being bipedal, as well as a shark, such as superhuman physicality and aquatic respiration. Nanaue is superhumanly strong. He was able to pick a man up with both arms and hoist him high into the air with ease before consuming him, as well as tear a man vertically in half with no visible effort.
His incredible strength extends to his feet as well, allowing him to jump great heights without much effort. Nanaue's body is much harder and more resistant to conventional forms of physical injury than the body of a human. He can withstand falls from great heights, exposure to extremes in both temperature and pressure, high caliber bullets, and huge impact forces without sustaining injury.
