Chapter 13 - Cheers

Vincent sighed as thoughts about what led him to making his plans in the first place crept back in. There was no point dwelling on the past. Moving forward was what kept him alive.

It was truly unfortunate he had been cursed with a photographic memory. If he saw something once, it was in his head forever. That particular trait of his was why he was forever trying to outrun the past but it was also what had gotten him this far.

He wouldn't have been able to learn everything there was to learn about mechanics and then some otherwise. He wouldn't have made his fortune either. But he couldn't be grateful for it because being able to remember every horrific thing he had ever seen with perfect clarity was why he hated the world so much and wanted to tear it down.
