What do you guys think of the new upcoming Spiderman show? Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman
-----------------------------
Continuing to swing through the urban jungle that was New York City I continued riding my emotional high.
Until eventually I decided to call it a day in the web-slinging.
Thus I found an abandoned rooftop and landed on it.
I then quickly headed inside of the building where I took off my mask, and did a slight change to my appearance before exiting it and rejoining the ordinary people on the street.
After which I made my way back to the Spider Den to do a bit more work before I started heading home for the day.
Turning my phone back on as I did.
Where I saw a text from aunt May.
---------------------
May: Peter please pick up eggs from the store.
--------------------
Seeing this I smiled and texted her back.
-------------------
Peter: Sure
May: Thank you
Peter: No problem
-------------------
I replied.
I then made my way to the store and picked up the eggs before going home.
Bringing an end to, in my opinion, a very productive day.

[January 21st, 2011]
Getting up bright and early the next morning I went downstairs and had a quick breakfast of Fruit Loops.
I then got ready to head to the New York Sanctum.
Since today is Saturday, which means I can train in magic all day long.
A routine I have been following ever since Yao agreed to train me in the mystic arts.
Once I finished getting ready I headed back downstairs.
Finding uncle Ben coming back inside, going through the mail that he just collected.
His fingers stopping on a particularly large envelope.
Where once he did he looked at me. "Peter, now what might this be?" He asked. Holding the brown package in my direction.
"I think I know, but I need to open it to be sure." I spoke.
I then moved to take the package from Ben and opened it. My assumptions being confirmed as the packages content was numerous pieces of paper tightly packed together.
Skimming through them I confirmed it was the contract from the Fantastic Four in regards to our deal.
"Well, what might that be?" Ben asked.
"A legal contract for some work I'm doing. One that I hope will make me some money." I explained to Ben.
Who raised a brow in my direction. "Really now? And how exactly would you be making all this money?"
"Science." I declared.
I then gave Ben a cliff notes version of my deal with the Fantastic Four.
"I see." He mused at the end. Ben then put a proud smile on his face. "Looks like you're finally putting that big brain of yours to use. Good for you Peter. I'm proud. And I know May will be too."
"Thanks uncle Ben." I replied. Putting a smile on my face.
"Sure. But Peter remember, just because you're about to make some money doesn't mean you can quit school or spend it like water. Not to mention we need to get that contact looked at. Since although the Fantastic Four are superheroes they are still people."
"Okay, uncle Ben. I know, I know. Really I do. And don't worry, I was planning to get the contact looked at by a lawyer the moment I got it anyway." I said. "In fact I already have one in mind."
One Matthew Murdock.
Also known as the blind hero Daredevil.
Who I looked up in the past few weeks and found he is already operating in Hell's Kitchen.
Both as a lawyer and a hero.
So having him become my attorney would be for the best.
Especially since it would lead to some Daredevil and Spiderman team ups.
Ah, I can already imagine it.
"Oh really, who?" Ben asked me.
"A newly minted lawyer working out of Hell's Kitchen. Heard he and his partner do a lot of pro-bono work for the community. So I'm hoping they'll be able to help me out with the contract. Considering if we tried to go to any of the big law firms in the city they'd try and take an arm and leg am I right?"
"You are." Ben admitted.
The two of us then shared a laugh.
After which I went to place the contract from the F4 in my room and then finally left the house.
To continue my own personal training arc.
----------------
Arriving at the New York Sanctum I easily entered through its doors.
I then went to one of the various locker rooms and changed into my personal training robes.
Once I accomplished this I headed to the Sanctums library and began the first part of my wizardly training.
Studying.
Sitting at one of the library many desks I had books stacked in piles all around me, while I read one.
Because most people simply can't just do magic. Even if they have a natural talent for it.
Like yours truly.
Not that I'm bragging or anything.
Oh no.
Magic takes time. Especially when getting down the basics. Which from what I've experienced so far is learning numerous ancient languages and texts.
I'm talking Latin, Gaelic, Arabic, Sanskrit, etc.
Since fhe old sàying is true. Words have power.
In the case of magic it's old languages. Since modern ones lack the power necessary to manipulate dimensional, and other forms, of energy.
That's why I've been working, like most who study the mystic arts do, to become a human Rosetta Stone.
A task that is going extremely well, thanks to my super genius intelligence.
Go brain power!
After two hours passed I had gone through all the books on the table, having memorized all of their contents.
With this done I stood up from my chair and stretched, before leaving the library and heading for the training room where Yao helped with the practical aspects of my training.
Entering the room, and then closing the door behind me, I saw Yao standing in the middle of it. Ready and waiting as usual.
"Teacher." I said. Giving her a small bow.
"Peter." She replied. Giving me a small bow.
After she did I walked up to her, having removed my own personal sling ring from my robe pocket, and placed it on my left hand.
"Let's begin." Yao said.
Nodding in response I got into a relaxed stance. I then worked to feel the energies around me as I worked to open up a portal using the Sling Ring.
Getting several small sparks, before I finally succeeded in opening it.
"Good. Now close it and do it again. But faster this time." Yao instructed me.
Since it took me five minutes just now simply to open that first portal.
Though when I first succeeded in doing it last week it took me 20 minutes.
So I am definitely making progress.
But Yao is right. I can do so much better.
"Yes." I replied to her words.
I then worked to open another portal.
Succeeding like before.
I then closed it again, and opened up another portal.
Continuing the same exercise for over an hour before Yao called for me to stop.
"Good work. It seems as if you're a natural with manipulating energies." She spoke.
"Thanks." I replied. Working to recover mentally. Since the portal creation training leaves me my mind reeling.
"Now then, onto the next part of training." Yao spoke.
Yao then conjured forth a blind fold and gave it to me.
Then once I had it I wrapped it tightly around my eyes.
Because we're about to begin martial training.
So now you're probably asking yourself why I'm putting on a blindfold if that's the case.
Two words.
Spider sense.
While executing my martial training I'm also working to train it. Since I hope to one day have the spider sense of assassin Spiderman from the comics, which is akin to Advanced Observation Haki from One Piece.
I'm talking precognition and future sight shit.
Not to mention wearing a blindfold will also help me heighten my other senses as well.
Plus I've already memorized all the martial arts movements and techniques, now my body just needs to gain muscle memory in association with said martials arts. And what better way to gain that than to have someone beat it into me?
So yeah.
Once the blindfold was secured I moved my hands away from my eyes and placed myself in a standard defensive position.
My spider sense going off immediately.
Though before I could react I received a kick to my left leg.
However I didn't break my stance.
Instead I continued to focus, managing to block a punch aimed at my right side.
I then lashed out with a right kick, only for it to be blocked.
After which I immediately jumped back, since I felt danger directed towards my throat, more than any other part of my body.
But immediately after this happened I felt a sharp pain my back.
Which I'm pretty sure was a punch.
But I couldn't be sure.
So with that I simply rolled to the left and put my guard back up.
Only to receive a slap to the back of my head.
"What?" I questioned.
Not understanding how Yao was hitting me.
Even though I'm sure I put distance between us. Unless..."You're using portals to attack me."
"That I am." Yao shamelessly admitted. "After all most of the eventual fights you will be involved in the future will hardly ever be fair. That's why I feel simulating it in training is better for you in the long run."
"Understood." I replied. "Let's continue." I said.
"As you wish." Yao replied.
And even though I can't see her right now I'm pretty sure she's smirking.
But that's fine.
Since soon enough I'll be the one wearing the smirk on my face.
That's why I continued with the training without voicing a single complaint.
I then grumbled the entire way home.
My body filled with another round of bruises.
But as they say: No pain, no gain.
So that's why I'll continue the grind.
