standing opposite to each other in the Wasteland were two armies. one dressed in a green and brown coloured uniform while the other didn't have a particular dress code.
"you all dare to stand against the kingdom with this measly state of your forces, what are you even thinking" Quliv who was standing at the forefront of the lord's army directed to the priest in charge from the church.
"that's not something you should be worried about, just know that everything is according to lord musha's will. And you fools trying to oppose his divine will shall soon come to regret your decisions."
"yeah, let's see who will do the regret thing when you will have my saber by your neck" she smiled.
"i guess there is nothing more to talk about so let's get straight to business."

followed by a moment of silence both sides ordered the armies to attack.
with around 9 thousand soldiers from the army and 7 thousand from the temple's side running towards each other, the ground shook with each step.
soon enough the area was filled with dead bodies. blood and organs were spread everywhere on the ground. but it was evident that the temple was on losing side. the untrained people gathered were falling quickly.
Rahen was watching over the situation from the sky. the scene was truly gruesome, more so for someone who has never experienced anything like it before.
"send the second unit to the battle." the pope who was in the tent, ordered a person standing beside him. soon the second part of temple's army joined the battle. before joining though they injected themselves with 'holy blood'. Which turned the army of few thousand into a horde of raging bulls.
the huge wave shook the battlefield even more. seeing them approaching Quliv also joined the battle along with more of her soldiers.
"so you're finally showing your cards" zaikar who was at the end of his army said while looking at the battlefield.
Quliv intercepted this coming wave before it could reach the main battlefield.
Her sword sliced of the head of one of them before proceeding to the next one and kept on doing so.
"Whatever that holyvblood is, it's really troublesome. It'll be really difficult for ordinary soldiers to fight them."
Soon enough the army following her joined in. even though the soldiers following her were more experienced, the pressure was still clearly visible.
"If this keeps going on, many are going to die. What the hell are those church bastards thinking." she thought while slicing the next head off.
Rahen who had only been looking at the situation till now, slowly came down and decided to join the battle.
"Fighting these crazed bulls is much better for me than the soldiers." He thought as he attacked one of them.
still going for the safer approach he attacked from behind, saving a soldier who was about to be killed by it's horns.
He used 100 Qi while attacking which caused sharp pain to the enemy making the bull even more crazy, the soldier took this opportunity to attack. With one more attack from both of them each they were finally able to slay the enemy.

Rahen recieved the message as the bull fell to the ground. But he didn't have enough time to think about it as he dodged an attack from another enemy before flying over to help another soldier.
His flying ability was proving really helpful since he didn't have to be worried about being surrounded, and he could better access the situation from above. Allowing him to provide help.
He dived down and attacked another enemy who was about to trample a soldier to death. He kept it busy till the soldier stood up again and attacked. The bull turned to attack the soldier but it suddenly felt sluggish. Before it could know what was happening the soldier effectively killed it by perfume thought it's throat.

After the third kill Rahen leveled up.
"This really is the fastest way to level up" he thought. Before he would take few days to level up but now it took him just 20 minutes to do so.
"But i should be careful not to give in to the temptation and start killing indiscriminately" even though Rahen liked the idea of leveling up faster he knew that he must keep himself in control.
Putting those thoughts aside he one again plunged into the battlefield to save as many people he could.

The battle had been going on for a few hours when the lid sound of hitting a metal came from the church's side. The sudden should left everyone confused but soon enough the reason for the church doing that was clear.
As the sound was heard around a thousand people from the church's side who were fighting in the main battlefield took out 'holy blood' and injected then with it. Most of them were those, who were at the back of the army and were fighting relatively save to avoid early death.
Since most of the soldiers with experience were already busy fighting the earlier wave of crazed bulls, the situation at the main battlefield quickly turned chaotic.
The situation even forced Zaikar to join the battle along with the remaining soldiers.
"Do not falter! The enemies are nothing more than beasts after taking those serums. Avoid head on fight against them. take advantage of their reduced intelligence and group up to kill them" Zaikar shouted while approaching the battlefield with his soldiers.
Rahen also decided to join the main battlefield and quickly approached the closest enemy. but he was unable to reach in time and saw a soldier being crushed to death under it's hoofs.
Similar scenes were happening throughout the battlefield. Many soldiers were being trampled upon. Zaikar quickly joined the battle. The elite soldiers following him quickly spread out throughout the battlefield thanks to them being riding horses.
They especially targeted the crazed ones to reduce further deaths as much as possible. And the situation did improve with them joining the battle.
The battle further continued for around and hour before the church ordered retreat. Zaikar also followed and did the same.
The injured were taken to get treated while other returned to their tents to treat and recover.
After the long battle the battlefield quickly turned silent. Everything that remained were dead bodies, laying all over the place. More than 40% of the soldiers from both side were dead on the first day.
That was the horror of war Rahen witnessed for the first time.
