"also, father i came here to tell you that I found out the reason and an antidote to calm the turned people normal " reading the report for a while liyan put it down and continued their discussion.
"as expected of my daughter" a smile appeared on the man's face as he heard liyan's words
"don't be glad yet. although i have founded the antidote the virus responsible for all this has the ability to evolve. if a person is given the virus more than once then the antidote will render ineffective and next time it will be even more difficult to control " liyan said with worried expression.
hearing that the smile on her father's face froze ."then what do you think we can do to prevent further spreading of this"
"grab the man who spread the virus and take out the root cause of the problem, but that's even more difficult to do "liyan said
"yes if we make any move on the temple the flames of civil war will burn down the whole country. and there are other people waiting for the chance to feast on the country"
"but we can't stay back and do nothing."
"yes"
.....
those two discussed the situation for a while and decided to secretly investigate the temple for the time being, while preparing for the worst case of civil war erupting in the country.
"what should I do" Rahen pondered about what to do while still traveling on liyan's shoulder
he had always wanted to help Liyan to return the kindness she had shown to him but did not have the way to do so, until now that is. earlier he got a surprise when he looked at the report liyan was holding, which was an addition to his already present passive skill 'mua language'. now other than verbal form he can also somewhat read and write the language of people here.
"now that i can write their language i should be able to somewhat communicate with these people, but should i do that?"
even though Rahen wanted to help liyan he was also afraid of what the people here will do to him if they come to know about this.
"they might as well start experimenting on me about how i could learn their language so fast. well they could also doubt that I'm originally from here but an animal who could read and write would still be an important subject for experiments."
rahen could not help but think about what bad things might come his way if people come to know about this.
"it's already good enough that they did not put me in the lab for tests already. If I were some alien who had fallen to earth i might as well have already been dissected. my current situation is already so much better."
he kept on thinking these worst nightmares might come true if he was exposed.
"let's just keep quiet for now" not wanting to take risks rahen decided not to reveal himself to anyone yet.
checking on the patients again liyan returned back to the garden. though she left again after leaving rahen there. this time no matter how hard he tried she did not take him with her.
For the next 4 days she did not return even once and since he was unable to do anything Rahen decided to focus on completing his daily quests and practicing qi.

"working hard during all this time was worth it" Rahen looked at his status with satisfaction.
when he healed his wing, due to continued usage of it his passive heal skill leveled up. after which he started using his other skills every time possible and gained levels for all of them. other than that he also worked hard in training dimension and qi meditation leading to the growth in his stats and qi but decrease in his credits.
"if not for the reason that continuous usage of skills tires me out too fast, it would be much faster to gain more levels." rahen contemplated as he remembered how he would turn into a dead chicken every day after training.
just as rahen was about to enter the training dimension the gate of the garden opened and three people entered. two of them were walking while the third person was on a wheelchair. rahen immediately recognised the person on wheelchair to be liyan and the one pushing her chair to be her father.
the third person was an old man with long, white beard and a bald head. he held a wooden staff as long as him in his right hand while stroking his beard with left.
liyan's father bought out chairs from liyan's little laboratory and they started talking.
"i told you to be careful. it's just been a few days and you are already in a wheelchair" liyan's father said as he sat on the chair.
"i was careful, father, i still couldn't understand how they discovered me even after all the preparation i did" liyan said
"now don't be angry with her, bael. at least she was able to survive from a situation like that and only have to be in a wheelchair for some time. worse things could have happened if she was not prepared well." the old man spoke
"I'm relieved that she is fine but.. how can a father not be worried for his daughter. and after what happened to your mother, too" liyan's father(bael) sighed as he looked at her.
"ok, let's just leave it and focus on other important matters. so liyan can you tell us exactly what happened" the old man turned to liyan and asked.
