Melvyn then silently followed one of the demons that was hissing at anything. He then saw the demon suddenly move close to a wall where there seemed to be a child hiding.
He then saw the demon open his mouth and showed the child his much longer fangs.
The child started to tremble while looking at the demon with unmasked fear. The child seemed to force its fragile body to move and then start to back away as much as possible.
The demon then laughed evilly at the child. Melvyn's eyes narrowed as he felt pity for the child, who, if possible, and the child trembled more.
When the child saw the king not far from the demon, the child then wanted to shout for him to help him, but by a gesture of his hand, silently, he asked the child to keep quiet.
The child was confused. Before the child could process what was going on, the demon already carried the child to the secret gate.
