Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Profiling

"Keep me posted, is that clear?" John instructed.

"Yes, John."

"And if this mission is successful, you all might get a vacation of your own. Your families would be excited to see you after all these months."

"We will put in our best John," Simi assured

"And one more thing, keep an eye on Lauren, would you? I don't want her beating up someone's kid for no reason."

"I can hear you!" Lauren yelled from the kitchen.

"I was hoping you would. One mishap from you, the whole team gets it. Is that understood?" John asked in seriousness.

"There will be no need for that John. Good night."

The call ended and the girls strolled out of the gadget room, appearing in the kitchen where Lauren had a bag chip in her hand alongside a can of soda.

"Anyone up for noodles? I'd like to put my cooking skills to the test." Simi asked.

"Am in." Kat collapsed on the couch.

"Naomi?" Simi asked.

Naomi shrugged and sank onto the sofa, switching on the television.

"Give me five minutes, and we shall eat the best noodles made in Simi's kitchen."

"So much for that. The only time you get to do it is when we are on a mission." Lauren muttered.

"If I weren't in the agency, I would work in a restaurant or play tennis," Simi replied

"I would work for a software company. Google for instance. " Kat smiled

"No other ambitions?" Simi asked, prepping some carrots, peppers, and greens.

"I have no idea. Would work as a…stripper maybe." Kat said laughing.

"I can't imagine you pole dancing." Simi laughed.

"Could you get your cooking over with? We have to talk about a new approach, right team leader?" Lauren reminded.

"No need to be a killjoy." Kat snapped.

"I think it's clear what we have to do. We have to stick to John's rules alright. Stay away from the princes. Avoid communication with them unless necessary." Simi summarised.

"The girls were planning something, Simi. We haven't talked about that." Kat said.

"Yeah. That Sonny girl. She's starting to piss me off." Lauren admitted.

"We don't know for sure what they have in mind. That's a real game changer." Simi said thoughtfully as she poured the noodles into the pot of boiling water.

"We've been on a mission with plot twists, this shouldn't be any different," Lauren replied.

"We go old school then. Research or profiling." Simi offered.

"Profiling." Kat picks up her laptop and goes on to find what she can about Sonny.

"Sonny Red. That's one weird last name." Kat muttered, moving her butt on the couch to find a comfortable spot.

"Red? Weird." Simi admits.

"Sonny Red, seventeen years old."

"Two years younger. That explains her level of immaturity." Lauren snapped.

"You're barely nineteen Lauren." Simi reminded.

"Very helpful Simi." Lauren snapped.

" Daughter of a billionaire. Lives in Grek Estate. Had her fair share of popular guys. Actors, athletes, musicians, you name it. She has dated them all." Kat said in awe.

"Her mum is a well-known model and her dad owns a real estate company. She has no siblings. Her social life seems great too. Over a hundred thousand followers on Instagram."

"That's enough information. Who's up for profiling?" Simi asked.

"Nobody does that better than you," Lauren said and frowned. "I can't believe I just admitted you're better than me. Eww."

Simi went silent for a while; zoning off. What would she do if she was Sunny?
