"Yes ma'am" Kat smiled
"We need to get a plan B gym wear and, we must avoid showing up at the gym late. Avoid any distractions." Simi adds.
"Then we have to be more than ready for anything. This is just speculation." Lauren reminded.
Simi nodded.
"We need to get our change of clothes to school, and glue down our chairs to their spot so they can't be moved. And..avoid detention I guess." Lauren offered.
"How are we going to get a teacher to see that we ate innocent? What if they ruin school property and try to blame it on us?" Kat asked.
"Keep your eyes on the school camera. They might try to delete the video. You need to keep the original and upload it whenever the teachers try to confirm our testimonies in the control room." Simi instructed.
"Hacking into the school control room.." Kat said clicking away on her laptop.
"Remember girls, we are to avoid problems in any way. No matter what they try to do to us tomorrow, we pretend not to know. Code 6. Pretend you know nothing unless something unexpected happens." Simi reminded.
"Understood." Kat assured
"Who is going to put everything in place? " Lauren asked. "Change of clothes? The glue?"
"I have to sit behind the system to cover your tracks." Kat reminded.
"I'm way too tired to jump off a skyscraper," Lauren said yawning.
"Let me guess. You're not going to make sure the noodles are properly cooked if I leave, would you?" Simi asked.
"You're the chef, I wouldn't want to ruin ypur meal." Lauren teased.
"Five minutes." Naomi got on her feet and headed into her room.
Lauren glanced at Naomi and then Simi.
"Did she just offer to go?" She asked.
"I think so? She's been…more expressive these days. That's good." Kat smiled
"Naomi is a very pleasant person. I spent the whole summer with her while you two were more than excited to run off to your families."" Simi mutyetrc, folding her arms.
"She had my back. The whole time." She smiled
"Good for you," Lauren said in sarcasm.
"Why didn't you go home, Simi? The last time we went on a break, I remembered you packed up and left when I did." Kat asked.
"Sometimes you miss your mum and then you remember how much she nags the life out of you." Lauren flicked her tongue.
"Sometimes, I don't want to go home. That woman is a real pain in the neck." Lauren muttered.
"Don't say that about your mum Lauren." Kat cautioned, eyes on the screen
"Mind swapping mums? I wouldn't mind you know? I bet you live in a freaking mansion." Lauren pulled open a can of soda.
"You got that part right. A freaking mansion with a hundred maids." Kat muttered.
"Well, I didn't go home that summer because there was no where to go." Simi replied in honesty
"Or you love camp so much you didn't want to leave. Get better over the summer, right?" Lauren teased.
"It's not like I have a choice." Simi exhaled
Being a team leader could be exhausting. The nature of her job take away so much from her. Going 'home' is not really a thing.
