The main office building was looming, it was 4 stories of unknown territory that I would have to clear floor by floor.
Walking up to the door, it had a heavy atmosphere surrounding it and made the door feel like it weight over a 100 kgs.
As I opened the door I scanned the room, it seemed like the first floor was more of a reception and waiting area.
I checked behind the desk and shuffled through the papers, I couldn't find anything with a full date on it, all there was was month and day. There was a stairwell to the left and an elevator to the right.
I went up the stairs slowly, going in silence incase there was another one of those Lynx's or tigers. As I walked up to the second floor, I saw a hallway with 3 doors on each side, they were all closed, so I let them be, continuing on to the next floor.
The third floor had only 2 doors and a little sitting area instead of the 3 doors from downstairs. There was some tea in the sitting area that I put into my pocket and I went up to the final floor.
This floor was interesting, at the top there were a few feet of flooring and a few chairs, but then there was a door, this was obviously the head of the bases office and I hope I could find an answer.
As I put my hand on the door it fell open and I saw an interesting sight, there was a skeleton sitting in a chair behind the desk with its head on the desk. I slowly scanned the room and saw a few awards on the wall.
Admiral Yavanovich. Guess we have a name for our departed friend. I walked and could see behind the stacks of papers, there were 4 bog things behind the stacks of papers on his desk. A book, a revolver, an empty bottle, and the skeleton of Mr. Yavanovich. On the front of the book there was a title, journal, the holy grail left behind by the Admiral. I took the book and sat down on a stair and read the book.
The first page was dated to 1944, appearantly our Admiral had humble beginnings on Anti-Submarine patrols.
I flipped through the pages until I got to the last ten written pages. There were still many more left so that's where I'll start.
