As Xavier turned his head, he was shocked. The City Of Aynor looked nothing like Třekov. The people, the everything. The houses were wealthy, mostly two stories. Most of the houses were constructed of timber. Even the glass was looked bigger and clearer. They had triangle orange roofs and mostly blue doors. Even the houses were closely packed creating alleyways but way more than Třekov had. Just like Třekov, peasants from the slums also roamed the place but were sent back. The nobles looked fancier and wealthier. The roads were way bigger and instead of having stalls they only had stores, markets, jewelry stores, magic stores, and a munitions grade. Mostly adventurers roamed the streets, you could tell by their armor, swords, and equipment. The place was overly populated. Even Třekov didn't hold a candle to it. One could only wonder how many merchants there were here.
As Xavier looked in shock and turned around, the two were missing. They had already runoff. As Xavier ran looking for them, he bumped into someone.
It was an adventurer covered in armor and equipment. He then bent down," If you don't want to be burned alive, runaway now." A flame had lit in his left hand.
Xavier opened his mouth and blew a cold breeze blowing away the flame. " If you don't want to have frostbite for the rest of the day; I'd recommend you go away."
The man comrades laughed at him." Seriously, your taking spunk from a kid!" A woman laughed.
As soon as she said that, she drew her sword and dashed at Xavier. But in that instance, her whole body except her head was frozen. It was Feran who had appeared and touched her with just the tip of his finger.
" In case you don't want trouble from one of strongest holy knights in this nation then stay away from my son." Feran looked over at the woman with his eyes gleaming cold. He then shattered the ice and unfroze her. She and her comrades walked away angrily. However, they couldn't lay a finger on a holy knight or even his offspring.
" Sorry about earlier." Feran scratched his head and smiled embarrassingly.
" If you and mom were that desperate to enter should've left me home anyway."
" Well then, shall we." Feran waved his hand in motion as a signal to indicate follow me.
As they walked looking for Vivian, they could not find her anywhere. Feran sighed," When that woman starts shopping she buys the whole of every store."
It sounded much like Vivian so he was right when he said that.
" No surprise at all," Xavier replied.
" Well then, how about you and me explore alone?" Feran asked as he smiled.
As they walked the road, Feran stopped at an auction. " Which type of weapons do you like the most."
Xavier placed his hands by his chin," Let's see, oh, a dagger."
Feran then looked at him with narrow eyes." Seriously?"
" Of course! A sword is super hard to lift properly." Xavier said.
" Twenty Vriyis gold coins."
It seems like they had stopped in front of an auction for high-class citizens. But both Feran and Xavier were middle class. It seems like they were selling a dagger and a powerful one in fact.
"Twenty-five!"
" Twenty-seven!"
Feran then shouted," Forthy!"
Xavier looked at him in shock. Forthy Vriyis coins were almost like a million silver coins."When did he have that much?"
All the noblemen and women looked behind them to see which man bid such an incredible price but was left with disappointment. " Argh!" they all looked at Feran assuming the worst.
" He isn't even high-class!"
" A peasant?"
" He probably got that money by kidnapping our children."
" Doesn't he have one by his side?"
" I bet that isn't his child!"
" Arrest that bastard!"
Whispers broke out in a flash. Xavier then placed a hand by his face," This is why I hate nobles."
" Sir what do you do? Aren't you middle class, how'd you earn much money?" The auctioneer asked.
" I'm a holy knight of Třekov, well, the strongest one." He answered while sweating. He looked like he wanted to run away.
" Oh, well then we have our winner."
The Runner then carried the dagger to Feran.
Feran then gave the dagger to Xavier. The dagger was a bit big but smaller than a sword. It was black and there was a stripe of green on it.
" It's a poisonous dagger, the green is to represent the poisonous part. It's not dangerous all it does is paralyze the enemy." The Runner said while walking away in a weird anxious gesture. He was kinda geeky but he was around Feran's age probably a bit older.
As Xavier opened the box, another was placed inside." Two?" Feran was shocked.
" Well, they don't call them daggers for nothing," Xavier said.
" So how do we test to see if it really paralyze? I mean. we can always test it on an animal probably?" Feran said.
Xavier pointed one of the daggers at Feran," How about I test it on you?"
" Haha, real funny!"
" So why'd you buy this for me anyway?" Xavier asked.
Feran then laughed," Your birthday is in a few weeks, why would I not buy it! Did you seriously forget?"
Xavier then opened his eyes in shock.' Seriously?'
" How'd I forget anyway." He said as scratched his head in embarrassment.
" When all you think about is magic you wouldn't have the time to think about other things. It was that way for me too." Feran replied as he patted Xavier on the back.
" I mean, at least your right about," Xavier said as they continued walking.
" So you considered becoming an adventurer right?"
" Yeah."
" That's nice, which age are you leaving to become one though?"
" When I turn twelve, it's about the time most kids awakened right?"
" Yeah, it is, it isn't all that rare for a twelve-year-old to be an adventurer. I mean the age restriction is anything below twelve. So have you considered what you're going to do after becoming an adventurer?"
" I don't know, but I guess I'll know until then, am I right?" Xavier replied.
"You're correct about that," Feran laughed because he too had that experience.
" What about your future sibling. Won't it be lonely for them when you leave?" Feran asked.
" I'll try to revisit monthly. You know I wouldn't want them to hate me right?"
" Alright but don't make us wait. Well then, let's go find Vivian shall we?" They both looked each other in the eye and continued walking; there was no need to say yes since they knew that was both their intent already.
" You'll be a great big brother!" Feran smiled.
" Eh? Where did that come out from?" Xavier looked at him weirdly.
" Relax, it's just the truth."
As they walked around searching all our for Vivian they had finally found her. It seemed like she was talking with someone, someone Feran knew for his face rose with shock.
' Who?'
