The sun illuminated the darkness for it was a sunny day. The skies were as blue it could be and the environment was the definition of green. The bright yellow cornfields stretched throughout the terrain as beams of sunlight glazed upon both the plants and cornfields. The leaves of the trees gentle took off as gusts of winds passed by. Gardeners toiled the soil away as beads of sweat ran down their faces; one of these gardeners was no other than the loving Vivian.
Xavier sat by his favorite tree once again. The tree was tall, green, and looked healthy. The leaves packed close to one another and the roots were tangled like a pattern. Xavier was upset about something. He skipped books from the book but could not find anything related to his problem. Xavier felt weaker. He bit his lips in anger and annoyance, ' damn it!'
It was a week after Xavier had awakened and he felt quite weaker. He thought the reason for this was that he disregarded training or a mentor. Xavier thought he had no one to ask about his problem too, but the person whom he could get answers from was one of the closest persons in his life. Xavier stood up from his sitting position and dust the dust from his clothes.
Xavier then closed his eyes as he channeled mana. The force of the upcoming energy made gusts of winds passed by and his body temperature raised. A flame ball of unconcentrated started surging from his hands as it grew in size. It started as just releasing mana then it became a ball of energy slowing becoming the fireball it became now. " Fire Ball!" he then discharged the spell from his palm becoming a blast of flames. As it hit a tree, the impact caused a huge unfinished hole in the tree. The hole then melted becoming much bigger than before.
Xavier began to scowl," It's not right!"
The whole experiment was nothing short of stress to Xavier. He began to rip strands of his hair," Damn it, is there anything useful in these books?"
Xavier couldn't make large ice glaciers or anything like that anymore. He couldn't move at superhuman speeds from tree to tree in fact he couldn't even make a tall ice spike without channeling plenty of energy. He didn't know that awakening was the potential of the strength of his current age. He would have noticed but he was too stressed to think anything out.
" I should cool off a little inside." He sighed as his anger disappeared from his face.
From the outside, this house looks posh and extravagant. It has been built with bricks and has a dark brown color. Tall, squared windows let in plenty of light and have been added to the house in a very symmetric way.
The house is equipped with a small kitchen and one bathroom, it also has a small living room, three bedrooms, a grand dining area.
The building is fairly rounded in shape. The house is partially surrounded by the woods. The roof is high and rounded and is covered with a black roof. One large chimney pokes out the center of the roof. Several long, thin windows let in plenty of light to the rooms below the roof. The house itself is surrounded by a gorgeous garden, where Vivian plants flowers and both plants.
As Xavier drank water he heard a familiar voice. " I'm home!" it was the optimistic and cheerful Feran.
Xavier walked through the door and welcomed Feran. Feran wore a full suit of white armor without a helmet. He had a gold longsword stuck to his waist. As his white hair was a mess. He looked like he hadn't been allowed to have much sleep.
" How was the campaign, it had to be dangerous since you went for a whole week."
Feran smiled as he said," Oh come on, you know that's restricted information." He then laughed it off. Feran then placed his hand in his pocket and pushed his hand on Xavier's. " It's a letter, for you."
Xavier ripped through the letter. The handwriting was awful, it looked as if it was a child's. ' Dear Xavier, It's me, Gerard. I did as you asked and asked my mentor, Kingsley, to get you a recommendation at the Adventurer's Guild. And yes, the boy's father is my mentor. We work as an Apothecary where we make magic potions for a living. Goodbye, you've got what you wanted and I got what I needed.'
" You know you should wait till a bit older before becoming an adventurer."
" I guess there's no need to go now anyway. Not to mention mom."
It was true Vivian would not want him to go yet. Xavier had remembered that Feran was the only person he could ask about his situation. Xavier's eyes widen as he thought,' why didn't I think about asking Feran.'
Xavier then turned to Feran," After you awakened, did you get weaker?"
" I did!" Feran instantly answered.
" Why is that?" Xavier asked.
" I'm sure you noticed the sudden surge of power which you got for a long time. That's because it temporarily boosted your mana core making you stronger and also weakening your core. Think of it as a double edge sword. You have to build that strength yourself all that does is drain your mana." Feran went on and on explaining what happened to Xavier." You're not weakened at all."
Xavier listened before saying," So that's what's happening. I thought it was probably happening because I neglected training or practicing spells. It also explains why I was able to use elements I didn't even know why to use and gain superhuman strength."
" Elements you didn't use before and superhuman strength, all I got was an insane boost I don't know anything about those two things you said. But not all people awaken the same way." Feran pointed out." Well, Xavier, I've made up my mind to train you now. Training starts tomorrow, I was going to wait until you were older but since your going to be an adventurer I won't get the time then."
' Training, oh this is going be a blast!' Xavier sarcastically thought.
