" Well then, let's talk at the table while having a meal, shall we?" Wayne asked.
Wayne then dragged chairs for them to sit by the table.
" Sit. Make yourselves comfortable as if this was your home." He said to them.
" I could never do or think it that way, our house is nearly equivalent to this room," Xavier replied.
Xavier and Alex then sat down both watching Wayne.
" Food will be coming here soon," Wayne smiled.
A maid then walked up to the table and placed food without Wayne even asking which showed how loyal they were to the Usamah household. On the plate was turkey, it looked light brown and was roasted well enough. The turkey sat on the salad which appeared to be quite the common meal in Třekov. Following the dish was wine. Of course, since Alex and Xavier were underage, they got grape juice. The aroma of the turkey smelled so well just by smelling it you could almost taste it. This was high-quality food, the food nobles ate almost every day of their convenient and satisfactory lives.
Xavier then tasted the turkey," So good."
The taste was good and the after-taste didn't even leave his taste buds. This was one of the only times Xavier praised a dish not made by him, an exception of course was, Vivian who was his mother.
" Yeah, but your cooking is even better as it is the best cooking in the whole world" Alex mocked him.
" Obviously mine is better, and talking like that doesn't suit you a all," Xavier replied.
" Oh, you rate your cooking to be higher than that of the finest chef in this town?" Wayne cut in and asked.
" The maid?" They both questioned in shock as the maid was quite young.
" No, not the maid, she just brought it to us. The real mastermind has served our family for decades and is still in the kitchen, she even lives there in the kitchen." Wayne replied.
" Lives in the kitchen?" Xavier was a bit confused.
" Poor lady." Alex sympathized.
" You came here for a reason, didn't you," Wayne asked while changing the topic.
" Yeah, we..." Xavier and Alex were about to reply before getting interrupted.
" Finish eating first, I wouldn't want to interrupt your meal."
He watched without blinking once while they ate.' Here I thought watching others eat was disgusting and both Alex and I are messy eaters yet he looks at us without turning away.' Xavier thought. As they ate, he kept staring at them weirdly while waiting to hear their reason for visiting him. As they were done eating, the maid collected their plates and handed all three of them handkerchiefs to wipe their drooling mouths.
" Go ahead," Wayne demanded while cleaning his mouth with the handkerchief.
" We came here to seek training for Alex," Xavier asked.
" Oh, do you know I'm an earth magic-user?"
" Yes, and so is Alex," Xavier replied.
" But why me? Couldn't you have trained him?" Wayne asked.
" I wish I could but I know almost to nothing about earth magic, I scarcely ever use it."
" Alex, would you want me to be your teacher?" Wayne asked.
" I wouldn't mind you as long as you're a good tutor. I also have a problem where I'm slowly losing my power." Alex replied.
" Oh, don't worry about that, it's quite normal once you've just only awakened, just train to reach your potential which was the strength you had when you first awakened, but you easily surpass that as it isn't a limit," Wayne said.
" So I can become way, way, way, way..."
" Yes, way above that," Wayne replied.
" Wow." Alex was in awe.
" Now tell me, how well are you at earth magic right now?" Wayne asked.
" I have high mastery over it but my spells and attackers are becoming progressively weaker as time rages on," Alex responded.
" I see, then it shall be quite easy for you to get stronger. You have way more talent than I had when I was your age." Wayne said.
" I know right, I'm even jealous myself, I was struggling so, so hard when I awakened." Xavier intervened.
" Aren't you only sixteen?" Alex asked.
" Yeah," Wayne replied.
" At least you're not an old man which means you too have way more room to get stronger yourself," Alex said.
" You're right, I am training both myself and Owyne. Also, don't hate Owyne, he just changed and only learned to care about himself after mom and his dad died." Wayne mentioned.
" I don't get why you keep calling Loy Owyne's dad, he's yours too, he raised you didn't he?" Alex said.
' Alex is probably getting bothered how he calls mom and dad his mom and dad while Wayne just calls Loy Owyne's dad.' Xavier thought.
" You're right, it doesn't matter if we're not blood-related, also you're saying his name wrong," Wayne said.
Alex scratched the back of his head," Sorry, I lose a few brain cells when it comes to pronouncing uncommon names."
" Also, sorry but I can't train you right now, as you can see there has been a lot of attacks on the town recently so I'll be quite busy and I'm also taking a lot out of my time to train Owyne. But, I will take some of my free time to make a homemade book made by myself which will tutor you and when I can, I'll train you myself." Wayne said.
" It's fine, as long as I'm not intruding in your life or bothering you in any way, if I am just tell me and I'll go away," Alex replied.
" Okay, look out for that book, I'll deliver it to you when it's ready." Wayne reminded them.
" I will."
" We've got to go, mom will notice that we've been missing for quite a long time now," Xavier disrupted them.
" Bye, it was nice meeting you two out of the battlefield."
" See you soon, Wayne." They then said their goodbyes and left.
