As the mage approached them with a malicious smile on his face, an automatic type spell was fired at him. As the mage looked to his right, earth spikes one after another was approaching him rapidly. He then dove through the window, he knew he couldn't handle an automatic type spell. But what he didn't know, was that the spell would still follow him unless Wayne the caster, chose to either cancel it or fire another spell. A loud scream could be heard from outside the mansion, it was the voice of the mage. Wayne's spell had come in a nick of time to save both Xavier and Alex. The caster of the mud-type spell, the mage, was most likely dead as the spell slowly cleared away. As Xavier and Alex regained the ability to move, they hustled together to the enemy who was caught in friendly fire. As they both charged in, the opponent tried retreating. Both Xavier and Alex gushed their weapons to the enemy. If the masked figure had a faster response time, they would still be in the realm of the living. Though a shoulder and abdomen stab wasn't known for killing people, the only possible way to die by such attacks would be either bleeding out or just having a frail body. As Xavier and Alex tried running off to the mayor's side, they were stopped by another group of masked figures. Both Alex and Xavier walked back guarding left and right as they guarded each other's side. Five masked figures were circling them.
Xavier sighed," If only I could use my magic."
" Explosion!" It was the voice of one of the enemies as they conjured a flame spell.
Alex tapped the floor with his foot creating a small earth wall to protect them from the incoming attack. The explosion approached them exploding everything in its way. As it drew closer and closer, Alex made more earth walls to slow down its momentum; the effect was barely noticeable. Alex expanded the earth wall he made to protect him and Xavier then dove into Xavier. If he expanded the walls the enemy obviously couldn't see him and they would think he was still behind there but Alex made the wall to block their vision. The explosion spell then blew up the whole wall.
" That should deal..."
Before the caster, if the flame spell could speak, he was cut short. Alex and Xavier slashed their swords aiming for his neck but before they could, another enemy shot them away with a wind spell. The wind spell propelled them far away from the enemy but it barely even hurt them. Alex and Xavier then jumped back in the battle and ran aggressively to the enemy approaching them almost as if they were beasts hunting their prey. As Xavier approached one of the enemies, he zoomed in at that moment and slashed his sword but the enemy retreated by moving back. But before they could retreat, Alex cut the enemy down by surprise; they were conning the enemies. Alex then shot an earth wall from out of the ground and in less than a second it formed blocking another wind attack. It barely damaged the wall, just a few indistinguishable scratches could be seen.
" Our next target..."
" Is the wind user." They finished each other sentence as they moved out once again.
Alex shot earth pillar after earth pillar out of the ground. It came out like a sliding door one after the next. Alex then jumped from one pillar to another safely approaching the enemy. He then plunged from the tall earth pillar to the wind user dressed in black. But they too were prepared, as the enemy conjured a wind spell planning to push Alex away in motion, Xavier's dagger shot out like a gush of wind. They immediately canceled the wind spell and shift their focus to the rapid fast thrown dagger. But they were whacked from behind by Alex. Alex had noticed from their weak attacks, they were a kid too. They were also a little girl so Alex knocked her out and didn't kill her or do anything life-threatening.
" I don't think these are the real enemies, maybe it was a warning. These people look like slaves, they were most likely sent here. In short, there are some innocent people mixed in here who were forced to approve of such a job." Alex said as he threw Xavier's dagger back to him.
By the spell it was approaching, Xavier obviously couldn't catch it. Instead, he dodged and waited for it to hit something else. And as it hit a wall he collected it. While Xavier had his guard down trying to pull his sword out of the wall, another masked figure sneaked silently towards him like an assassin before being shot away by a spell. Xavier was certain it was a wind spell and as Alex turned to face the girl, she was conscious with her mask off. She had long wavy golden blonde hair, blue gems for eyes, and shiny pink lips. She also had snow-white smooth skin. She was pretty, in fact, would come to imagine how beautiful she would be once she grow up. She also had a thin body structure as she was skinny.
" It's as you said, we're being forced to do this. So, please help me finish the real enemy." She said.
" But how do we distinguish them?" Alex asked.
" They wear coats and we the slaves wear jackets. It's their way of not mixing us up with their real comrades."
" Now that you mention it, I did notice a difference in some of them," Xavier said." Some of them looked different."
" Don't kill the ones who look different." She said.
" I only killed one guy though, if you're counting in total then it would be two from when that Harbinger Of Sudden Death guy came. Well technically, Wayne, Feran, and I share that kill."
" We go no time just move out!" She rushed Xavier.
" Fine, I'll bust the news to Feran and Wayne," Alex said.
Alex then used all the commotion to sneak to Feran. And as made it Feran slashed his sword.
" Wow, sorry there Alex. I took you for an enemy." Feran said as he stopped his attack in motion.
" Don't kill the enemies in jackets, they're innocent people being used by the real enemies. The real ones wear coats as a way to tell the difference between their slaves and them."
" Now that you mention it, some of them looked different." Feran sounded and acted exactly like Xavier as he said this.
Alex narrowed his eyes in jealousy," Father like son, if only that applied to the adopted son."
Feran then resumed to protecting the mayor. The enemy's numbers were almost infinite as they kept coming out from nowhere. One could not tell how much there were, maybe that was intentional. Alex then made his way back to Xavier and their newfound ally.

The enemies who were attacking them before started attacking each other. It looked that way but the real enemies noticed that the so-called 'allies of the mayor' figured out their scheme so they were now trying to wipe out the innocent slaves they brought to the battlefield. The slaves couldn't do anything but join the mayor's side.
" Fine, I wouldn't mind a team-up," Wayne said as he noticed the dispute between the enemy, he could tell what was happening without Alex nor Xavier telling him the situation.
A woman then tugged his shirt," Where's my daughter, Navy?" The woman cried as she continuously shook Wayne in a nagging way.
She had taken off her disguise which was soon followed by the other slaves.
" I'm sure she's fine, madame." Wayne tried to stop the woman from worrying." But how does she look? I'll need her appearance to find her."
" She's just a small child but you could probably notice her from her long blonde hair." The woman was certainly talking about the wind girl whom Alex and Xavier teamed up with." I can tell she's doing something reckless on her own all about now especially after she awakened her magic."
Wayne then placed his hand on the woman's shoulder," I'll find her but you worry about herself first."
Wayne had no idea that a mother couldn't do that in situations such as this.

Xavier and Navy were clearing out the enemy's troupes together. Lying next to them were the bodies of nine enemies.
" You're not half bad," Xavier said to Navy while beads of sweat ran down his face.
She then turned to him," You're not bad either. But why don't you use magic? Have you not awakened?"
" My mana core got damaged a while back, I'm giving it some time to heal. But I didn't think a little girl could be so strong." Xavier made fun of Navy.
" I'm not a little girl! And it's Navy by the way."
Xavier then shook her hand," It's Xavier."
" Nice to make acquaintance with you, Xavier." She smiled.
Xavier then smiled back at her," You too, Navy."
